SOD and SOW: Will Maggie Tell All?; Feb 10th issues; Summary of Articles
Topic Started: Jan 28 2009, 12:17 PM (3,299 Views)
Ellie

This week's SOD and SOW both include articles about the Chloe/Daniel story. SOW features an interview with Shawn Christian, and SOD features a short interview with Suzanne Rogers.

After Maggie sees Chloe and Daniel, she goes to the Brady Pub, and Lucas walks in. But Maggie doesn't say anything to him, because as Rogers explains, "She doesn't want to do anything to upset Kate, who just had the transplant, or upset Lucas, because she sees how in love with Chloe he is." Maggie tells Chloe that she won't say anything for now, but if Chloe continues to see Daniel, Maggie will tell Lucas.

The next day, Maggie goes to the hospital and sees Chloe there. She asks Chloe if Chloe's talked to Daniel yet, but Chloe gives a quick answer and leaves. So then Maggie goes to talk to Daniel. Daniel first denies he's having an affair with Chloe, but then Maggie tells him that Chloe admitted it. As Christian says, "Maggie says Chloe's having an affair with someone she doesn't really love and that she's confused. She also calls out Daniel's character and dignity as a man. It's very offensive to Daniel."

Daniel tells Maggie that he can't promise not to see Chloe. Maggie says that she'll have to tell Lucas. Christian says that "part of Daniel is willing to take that risk. Part of him wants the secret out, so this isn't duplicitous for him. Daniel becomes frighteningly surprised at how crazy in love he is with Chloe."

SOW then asks Christian if Chloe is not just this week's love for Daniel. Christian responds that "for the record, Daniel has never admitted he's loved anybody up until this point."

As Daniel and Maggie are talking, Lucas shows up, but Maggie doesn't tell him. But, then Kate walks over to them. Kate says that she's afraid Sami will return and become a threat to Lucas and Chloe's future. Christian says that at that moment, Daniel feels "a little awkward, and there are twinges of guilt." However, Daniel knows that if Sami does come between Chloe and Lucas, it may ultimately help him.

Then, later, Chloe goes to Daniel and tells him about her run-in with Maggie. Daniel tells her that they'll just have to be more careful, because as Christian says, "[Daniel] is not ready to give up this woman he is truly crazy in love with." Christian says that Chloe feels the same way about Daniel.

The SOW article ends by saying that Chloe and Daniel then "get hot and heavy again".

GET EM STEPH!!

I love Maggie being so involved and the scenes of her tearing into Daniel about his character should be fun and so long overdue.

I like SC but his trying to justify Daniel's motives and answer that question by saying Daniel never said he loved anyone is ridiculous, I could've sworn he said he loved Chelsea or at least came pretty damn close with how he treated her and behaved. Still, that doesn't justify anything.

This story is improving for me too. The Maggie element should make this entertaining and why do I get the feeling Sami will play a active role here as well, along with Will.

The only good thing about this is Maggie getting some screen time. Thanks for posting, Ellie!

I just wish Maggie could get screen time without it having to be with some of the most worthless characters on the show.

Ridiculous and totally out of character. I could see Maggie allowing Chloe to confess on her own but no way would she accept Lucas never learning of the affair.

Thanks, Ellie.

Yay for Maggie.

Nay that she's being stuck in such a crap story.

Daniel and Chloe don't love each other. They've had maybe two conversations that consisted of little more than pawing and drooling, and I'm tired of being told that it's anything more than just a couple of horny sluts wanting to get their rocks off.

Really. Is SC seriously calling this a love story with a straight face? I mean, I'm sure he doesn't want his character to be thought of as a whore...but COME ON!

I think Maggie has her reasons though. I think she sees how much in love Lucas is with Chloe and seeing as how Kate is still recovering (despite looking mighty damn good LOL) and considering Chloe's bond with Alli, Maggie thinks it's best to leave it alone.

I mean, Hope did the same thing with Belle and Philip and no one said that was out of character. She chose not to say anything as long as Belle stayed away from Philip because she knew Shawn loved her and that Belle loved him too. She was going on the idea that Belle just was confused and made s mistake. Same here. Maggie is giving Chloe one more shot because she believes she loves him and knows Lucas and Alli love her. Makes perfect sense to me.

I won't argue with anyone claiming this is now becoming a ripoff of Hope/Philip/Belle/Shawn LOL.

I don't think this is a ripoff of that quad by any means. For one thing, that story actually made sense and was character driven. And Philip and Belle weren't just a couple of horny sluts looking to get laid.

Well, I'm actually semi-interested in the story because we can't predict yet how it will turn out! And no, I don't think it's terribly out of character for Maggie . She might be known as a busybody, but she also knows Lucas has had enough hurt in his life.
As for the love comment, yeah, that's a little asinine. I think Daniel (Shawn, whoever) is trying to disguise sleezy lust for love. I just wish they'd write something about Daniel having a thing for sick women already.

Thanks for posting Ellie.

This story would be more believable, maybe even enjoyable, if they weren't trying to sell it as some great love story. It wasn't that long ago that Daniel was completely wrapped up in Kate, and now he's crazy in love with someone who he has spent all of about 20 minutes with, and 10 of those minutes were spent screwing each other.

I will enjoy seeing Maggie though. :)

Shawn and Belle were childhood sweethearts and Hope had closely observed their relationship for 8 years. Lucas/Chloe rushed into engagement after 3 months and Maggie barely knows Chloe or Daniel. She doesn't have nearly enough info to make the judgement call that Hope did (as proven by the fact that Chloe continues to bang Daniel after their convo).

Never said it was a ripoff of the quad. Just that it was a lesser version of the twist of Hope catching Belle and Philip last Fall.

You said you wouldn't argue with anyone claiming "this" is becoming a ripoff of Hope/Philip/Belle/Shawn. I had no way of knowing what you meant by "this".

I see this story about two horny people - Higley's lame attempt at a love affair not a love "story". But what it has turned into is a "lust" affair - full of those near porn scenes that for some odd reason Higley thinks will get people to tune in...

I don't see how the length of time matters.

In regards to Shawn and Belle, Hope actually had reasons to be concerned even before she slept with Philip because of all the past issues Belle and Shawn had. Lucas and Chloe have had no problems that were known, at least until now with Daniel. Alli loves her. Lucas loves her. Chloe saved Kate's life. She helped Lucas through a tough time after what happened with Sami. Chloe and Maggie have had numerous talks and I think Maggie feels she does love and care about Lucas, regardless of how long they've been together.

The other thing too is Lucas has been hurt alot in his life and Maggie has to be concerned about that. I mean, Lucas has been cheated on before. I think Maggie is just giving Chloe another chance and if she continues this thing with Daniel, that will be it for Maggie and she will tell him. For me, it's the same chance Hope gave Belle last year.

I know Maggie may think she is protecting Lucas, but she is not. Secret have a way of coming out. Hell i just wish she tell him that way we can see how Kate will react.

I have to agree with the crowd on this one. Higley has horny and love confused. She thinks they are one in the same.
