The Greatest of them All!

Just finished watching the series premiere. I cannot say I loved it, but I far from hated it.

Loved seeing Amy Acker. I hope she becomes a regular. She was the most interesting to me. I want to know the story behind those scars.

Now I did get a little confused ... the first scene with Echo talking the the Head Dollouse lady about her drug use ... was that her REAL life? What I got from it is that is how the Dollhouse people got a hold of her.

Also the very ending, with her in the Grad video. I am very intrigued to know who that man is, and why there were two dead bodies behind him LOL

The thing that is missing the most though is Whedon's witty dialogue. It is a mainstay on Whedon shows, and I hate to not see it.

I know I was definitely being a smart ass in the RT topic when Kenny mentioned he thought it was 100% garbage, lol, and I said I LOVED it.(love ya too Kenny, you little shit, :P ) It was far from the perfect pilot but I saw enough good potential that I'm excited to see what comes up.

ITA about Amy Acker. I'm watching the last two seasons of Angel right now, and I love her!! Her scars and whatever the story is behind them has got me all intrigued.

What also really got me was wondering how they are going to balance the character of Echo, and all of her various active roles, along with the character we saw in the beginning, and how she came about teaming up with the Dollhouse. That's the only thing that's got me a little worried, and a I stress a little, since I have faith in Joss. As a fan of his work and his control of serialized drama, I'm sure given the chance, the show is going to find it's groove. Both Angel and Buffy were widely panned when they first came out, and they were lucky enough to have a chance to build a solid following, so I hope this show get's the chance.

Next week's eppy looks like it's going to get better and from what I've read, Joss says that the show really evolves by the second half of these first 13 eppys.

....and hot damn, Tahmoh Penikett is smokin!!

The guy at the end of the eppy could be the rogue active they mentioned in the previews.

forgot to mention that I noticed a bit of the dialogue you mentioned with the tech. guy Topher . Not anywhere near as much as his other stuff, but I saw a few hints of it. I'm hoping we'll start to see more of it.

The second eppy was definitely much better overall. Loved the flashbacks. The moral greyzone of this whole Dollhouse institution has endless possiblities.

Amy Acker continues to impress,

The pop star eppy was alright, although the actress playing the singer left a bit to be desired. Next week's eppy looks really good.

I have been watching too and like you say I'm not in love but dont hate it and I am intrigued with the possibilities. I missed the part where Echo's past life she was involved in drugs. I am guess the guy filming her grad video is the FBI agent working to expose the Dollhouse.

I watched episode 4 earlier today, and I really enjoyed it. This Alpha guy seems crazy, can't wait to meet him, Let's hope the casting does good with him. For the most part I think the cast is pretty good, I just don't like Echo's friend. She needs to die soon LOL

lol about her friend, Sierra, I think? I'm not sure how I feel about her yet.

The 4th eppy was def. the best yet, IMO. Loved the whole concept of her getting stuck and her active memory being wiped.

Next week's eppy with the whole cult thing looks crazy!

I LOVED that show, even in all it's horriblness, lol! I thought that when it started it was all over the place but I was def. hooked by the time Jason Priestley came in. The season 1 finale was amazing!!

 Zack Galifianakis too, aka Davis.

Yeah, I watched it from the beginning. I was so pissed when it got canceled. Was hooked from the start. Loved how they made Jason's character her enemy. They had they good/hot rival chemistry.

I just watched the last two episodes and while I am still not in love with it I am def getting more interested. The shows starting to delve a little deeper which is nice. I like how they want and expect to control everything yet still aren't accounting for certain variables. Echo is remembering things that should be wiped clean and Victor is making a biological connection with I forget her name ie) "man reactions". Its interesting to see where they are going with this concept of "is it possible to wipe someone's memory entirely clean" and how does muscle memory play into it.

This last episode was really good. Again, they are discussing factors which can't be controlled like the handler abusing his doll.

How hot is the FBI agent getting?! The agent and his next door neighbor are smokin. I thought she was cute but now she's a doll too. nice twist. The fight scenes are choreagraphed well, although they don't need to be so fancy to impress me. I'm impressed if it's real people doing the moves but it looks like they are using a lot of stunt doubles and camera manipulations.
