Big Brother 11: Casting, News & Gossip!

In this thread, we will be posting as much pre-show gossip, casting news and twist speculation as possible. This includes photos of the new house, speculation about the possible twist and photos/biographies of the houseguests when they become available.

Big Brother 11 premieres Thursday, July 9th at 8PM/ET on CBS. Enjoy!

It's coming, slowly, but it's coming. In the interim I'll be watching Harper's Island because by the time it's over BB will be here.

I just hope they do like they did last year and don't cast people who already know each other.

Me too. The Canadian stations are too cheap to have their own version.

The only way I'd be down for people knowing each other is if EVERYONE was involved like Season's 6 deliciousness of Secret Partners.

Not like Season 8 where only six people knew each other or Season 9 where only four people did...Zzzzzzz.

Yeah, that would be nice. But I have to admit, I love it when they stick exes in the house. People who hate each other is a good thing. I just don't like the whole "secret couple" thing two people are actually dating outside the house.

Enemies are pretty cool to see whether they align or backstab one another off the bat. After so many seasons of people knowing one another, I must agree that total strangers would be a nice change. Overall, I don't care as long as I get my BB!

hell fuckin yeah!

Seasons 4 through 9 all had people with connections outside the house! Some originality in twists, please!! Or just rip off the UK house's ideas.

Can't wait!

It's funny to think of how different the first season was. Season 2 is still my all time fave.

S2 was weird to me, because it didn't have the POV. And it's much better with the POV.

Manny you finished watching season 2 and didn't share your thoughts? The game has evolved a lot since then. Season one and two were totally different. However, the cast of season two kicked ass!

^Yes! I had such a crush on Hardy! LOL. Monica (I think that was her name)...when she went off...awesome! And I couldn't stand Will. But when he came back for the All Stars game, I actually liked him.

I think what everyone loved about Season 2 was the fact that it came off the heels of boring ass Season 1. Compared to the first season, it was amazing because the cast had so much more personality and the introduction of HoH (as well as the houseguests voting to evict rather than America) really shook things up.

However, the show wasn't at its best with Season 2, because like you said, there was no POV. The best season in terms of casting and gameplay was probably Season 6, followed by Seasons 3, 7, 8 and 10.

I would say 6,7,8, 10, and 2 in that order, in terms of gameplay and cast.

I can't wait for the next AllStars season!
