The music in the clip makes it seem like someone is going to die.

This website that covers Big Brother (my fav. BB site) is looking for people to help write live feed updates. I know many of you get the feeds and might be interest in helping them out: http://www.mortystv.com/big_brother.shtml

Maybe I'm way off here, but doesn't she sorta resemble Fred Flinstone? Similiar face structure. LOL

She always reminded me of that fat long-haired guy from Lost.

From an anonymous tipster at Jokers:

I'm a little hesitant to post this, as I'm sure I'll get some hate/disbelief claims, but it's certainly pertinent!

One of my old college buddies has a job with EndemolUSA out in Cali, and while he isn't doing any work on Big Brother 11, he said he was pretty sure of some stuff going on in this season.

The twist? Here is a summary of what I have been told... CBS is making all of their shows cut back on their budget and saving where necessary (the economy blah blah blah), and this year, the twist is that when all the houseguests enter the house, they're being told that the prize money this year is ZERO DOLLARS. And now, instead, they'll have to build the prize money as they go along.

Now I don't know if that means they'll have to raise it in challenges, or by going without certain items in the house or whatever, and "Jim" (we'll call my source that) didn't know much beyond that. I assume the max they could get is the standard 500,000... but who knows.
That's kind of interesting if it's true. We certainly wouldn't have a bunch of people throwing competitions every week if it means losing money, so for that reason alone, I kind of hope this is true! However, what would happen if someone made it to the end without winning any competitions to earn a big prize? Certainly they wouldn't have someone win the show without a substantial payoff, LoL.

That could actually be a really awesome twist.

The best fights in the house are usually when someone gets money or a prize and everyone gets bitter and jealous if they didn't get one. In this scenario now you'd have people getting in fights over whose fault it is that the overall prize money isn't big enough.

LoL. Every day would be an argument of "you stole my money, BITCH!" Remember how pissed Michelle was last year when Libra ripped off her prize and gave her the unitard instead? Classic!

I just can't see it happening because of how stupid it would look if someone made it to the end and won the show, yet they got a payout of like ten bucks because they didn't win any of the competitions to accumulate a big prize, LoL.

I think it would be awesome if the houseguests had to accumulate their own prize, but I really can't see it actually happening.

The downside to this twist is that potential strategies could be compromised when people are forced to win competitions they would probably be better off not winning. Also, I think the houseguests are more willing to fight hard and stab each other in the back when they know for sure that there's a $500,000 prize at the end.

I guess the twist has its pros and cons.

We had something similar.

I think one year we had a starting sum and then when someone would do something against the rules, Big Brother would take away a certain amount from the main prize. Whatever is left in the end, the winner would get.

This year (not on Big Brother), but on a similar show called "The Farm" (people being sequestered on a Farm and they had to do farm jobs, with an HOH every week nominating two people for eviction and then the two nominees fighting in some game to stay alive) they had to earn their money by working. Whenever someone was voted off, they had to give their earned money to someone else. They could share it among all of them, or give all their money to one person. In the end, one person would win only what they were given/earned.

I do think it would be better to not start from 0, but I like this twist with earning money. Money issues in the house always bring big drama. In season 3, I think, our Big Brother house got a supermarket. HG got ONE credit card and every week they would earn a certain amount of money, depending on how good they did a weekly task. So it always got interesting when by the end of the week they would be hungry, but have no money because someone bought cigarettes. LOL It would always end up in a fight.

That's an AWESOME twist!

However, I would want it to be designed a little differently. Instead of each houseguest trying to increase their potential prize money, I would want the houseguests altogether to increase the pool of cash for the end winner. For instance, in competitions there would be a certain threshold that all players have to exceed in order to win a certain amount of cash towards the final prize. That way, all the houseguests would be forced to improve their gameplay, and those that lack will be targetted by their housemates.

And, when it comes to luxuaries etc, the houseguests would have to sacrifice money from their pool of winnings. The houseguests would vote whether they want to make that sacrifice or let the luxuary go. Majority rules.

Whatever they decide, I would be for it. Cause like I said, this kind of stuff would definitely provide drama. People in the house are obviously money hungry and any chance to increase that prize they would take. Also anyone who would ruin something for them to get that prize (or even decrease it) would cause some drama.

My only fear is that this could backfire and people will just give up too early. If they know there's a HUGE prize waiting for them at the end, they'll fight hard for it no matter what.
