Click here to watch a video of Katie Neal describing her experience in the Big Brother house. I haven't listened to it yet, but there's the link, anyway! LoL |

I am watching that video now. The HoH room sounds neat! The bedroom that is locked is probably the room for the past houseguests. |

This season's house sounds schizophrenic and crazy. I can't wait for pictures! The kitchen sounds amazing. I've said for years that they need to do an oriental theme! The first bedroom sounds kind of "blah" but the pool-themed bedroom sounds interesting. I'm not sure if I really understand the concept, but I have no doubt it'll make sense once the pictures and videos start surfacing. How the hell do they have a slide coming right out of the wall? As for the living room, she didn't really give an in-depth description of it so I guess we'll have to wait for pictures to see what it really looks like. It sounds nice from the few details she gave. Thumbs up to no urinals in the bathroom! LoL. |

Actually, my initial thought was that the locked bedroom is for the "have nots." There are probably no beds inside, LoL. |

If there are 4 groups that means there's only 3 per group (12 houseguests) |

Another Media Day writeup with more details about the house... The House The inside of the Big Brother house is gorgeous. It seems to follow a Oriental motif with shades of environmentalism thrown in. The Kitchen: The kitchen’s reddish interior is decorated with Buddha statues, while a large red door hangs above and clings to the wall by the patio entrance. There are numerous separate recycling bins - for bottles, paper or plastic - and interestingly, upon our arrival we noticed there was no trash can, leading us to devise our own out of a small kitchen basket. A large industrial-strength composter sits intimidatingly in the counter, but we were not allowed to use it. There is also a miniature, portable herb garden located on the window sill, which also leads me to wonder if there will be an organic garden somewhere in the house? In keeping with the greening of Big Brother, we ate with disposable bamboo plates and cutlery, said to be environmentally friendly since they contain no chemicals, are organic, and completely biodegradable. There are bottles of sake propped up on the wall. And yes they are real and full! The Bathroom: This is an open space with walls made out of what appears to be parts of large industrial bins (the type you see at airports, train stations, or large construction sites). There is a spacious, comfortable black resting couch in the corner. But who wants to lounge around while your friend is peeing just a few feet away? The TP in the bathroom itself is also environmentally friendly (because it says so in the package!). The shower is large, and the door is transparent, save for a stripe around the middle, so that folks walking by aren’t force to look at your naughty bits. A bit too risqué for me to take a shower in there, but that didn’t stop one BB veteran housemate from cutting loose and showering away. There are cubby holes all around the mirror by the sink with towels and from what I can recall, the sink itself is made out of a dark cement-like material. The HOH Room: By far the most beautiful room in the house, the Head of Household room contains a large bed, with the wall behind the headboard consisting of a very lightly trickling waterfall. There’s also a round spinning couch, a flat-screen TV on the wall were you might secretly peer into other rooms (the spy screen); A CD player, a bowl of candies and toiletries, a Hef-like bathrobe; and a spacious bathroom to die for - with a bathtub as well as a shower (hmm, not very water-wise, if you ask me). To get to this room, you take the orange-colored spiral staircase from the first floor. There is also a small lounge area directly outside of this room, with a chess set. The Spa Room: This is an additional room with a large comfortable couch/bed and two stationary bicycles that power light bulbs when you ride them - and the faster you ride these, the brighter the light bulbs get. One half of the room is made out of giant bubble wrap and the other out of old recycled bottles, cans and cardboard. One piece of personal advice to the new BB cast? Try to curb your neurotic desire to pop the bubbles to pass the time. The Water Room: There’s a bedroom designed to look like it is under a pool. The four beds are covered with plastic pool beds, and the walls are painted to look like the inside of a pool. There’s also a fake underwater pool slide leading into the room, from nowhere in particular, and rubber duckies and pool toys as random decorations. The “Red” Bedroom: Not much to see in this bedroom for 4 people, but the walls seem to be made out of some recycled product. The beds are red and black, and quite small. The Yard: Not much seems to have changed here, except walls are adorned with pictures of wind-powered turbines. The washer and dryer remain, and so does the jacuzzi, the pool, lounge chairs, hammock and a pool table. The patio furniture is similar to last season’s but differ in terms of coloring. OMG! Did we have to see this Jen scene again? Thus, I love the nominees. Jen deserves her ass up there every week until eviction ... if she were in this house forreal. Can you detect my dislike for her? I love the second room with the pool theme. The beds look awfully uncomfortable ... perfect! The slide is cute, too. The HOH room has a very unique design, too. I like the walls, but the bed looks way smaller than previous years. That POV comp was cool but I also hate pies. That would've been hard for me to stomach. That would be my biggest problem in the BB house, I'm a picky eater and can't stomach too much! |

The new house looks amazing! I love it! Love the living room, love the kitchen, love the HoH room... and I even love the spa room! LoL It isn't as bad as I thought it would be, recycled garbage on the walls 'n all. The Diary Room is perfect! The only room I'm indifferent to is the "pool" room. That's just bizarre, LoL. The "red" bedroom is definitely my favorite, and I love the light fixtures in it. That purple couch is the living room has a nice shape to it. The pool room is bizarre, but I think its my favorite for that reason alone. I can't wait to see the personalities that take that room upon their own will. Kenny: thanks for all the info!!! :hail: |

Oh, one more thing, its not as 'green' as I thought it would be. Sure we have the one wall with beer bottles and caps, but aside from that, its relatively usual. Kenny: when do you anticipate they will release cast pics/bios? Wed? |

Apparently there are no covers in the pool room. The houseguests will have to use the floaties to cover up with, LoL. Also, the pillows are vinyl. Expect lots of sweaty faces! Now I wanna see what's in the other bedroom -- the one that was locked off from the media. |

I've heard that they will reveal the cast on Wednesday, but I wouldn't be surprised if we got some information tomorrow night. That's the way it has happened the last few years, so there's no reason to think it'll change now, LoL. CBS still has to release the official details about the twist and whatever the unprecedented premiere night surprise is. I expect those things to happen either tomorrow or Wednesday as well. |
