Please link to DR only. Thank you! ;) "Oh my God, hold on to your seat," teases Co-Head Writer Scott Hamner. "There will be three weddings and surprise returns from past characters that will affect everyone on the canvas." Victor/Ashley/Nikki: "Victor, Ashley and Nikki have a huge storyline which is front and center, and it's going to revisit a lot of show history. Nikki and Victor can never completely escape each other, but what I think is really interesting about their relationship is we're not simply telling the same story over and over." Jack/Sharon/Nick/Phyllis: "We're turning the foursome upside down, but in terms of who decides to be with whom and how this all plays out, all bets are off. Phyllis's buttons have now been pushed and she's going to be unpredictable." Kay/Jill: "There's the potential for fireworks, but the story is based on emotions and the bond they share. It's going to be a fight for both of them as to whether they continue with this relationship or not." Weddings: "Of the weddings, I can tell you that Kay and Murphy are walking down the aisle. We were all very interested in telling the story about finding love late in life. The other big wedding is going to be a coming together of characters who've known each other a very long time and are principal characters. They've both had involvements with other people over the years, and for them to find each other is going to be very satisfying. Again, it's a very unexpected romance." Adam/Victor: "We're going to continue to see more of the darkness that is within Adam." Mary Jane: "She has a very dark side. She is willing to pretty much go to any length to get what she wants. But the complications and twists and fun in this story are going to be about this very carefully crafted plan of Victor's going awry." Billy/Mac/Chloe: "He's torn between the drama of having a family with Chloe and the draw of Mackenzie returning with new obstacles to keep them apart." Kevin/Jana/Amber/Daniel/Gloria/Michael: "This story is about hope because Kevin is a survivor and he continues to fight against the effects of this. His loved ones rally around him. Jana's headaches are about the bond she and Kevin share, but it's possible that there could be something more going on there than we first thought." |

How interesting that he mentions surprise returns (plural) from past characters, yet he never goes into detail about exactly who's returning. Very interesting. They must be wanting to keep it all under wraps. I'm guessing that one character is Nina, and the other character will be the revelation of who Mary Jane is. I also have a feeling that one half of the "unexpected pairing" will be a returning character as well. We'll probably see him/her for the first time when they're walking down the aisle with another character already on the canvas. Also interesting is that we have three weddings in May, but Hamner only went into detail about two of them. The third wasn't even touched upon, so I'm intrigued to learn more about that. I wonder why there was no preview given for the Tyra/Neil/Karen story? |

I don't like Scott Hamner, and these don't really have me intrigued. Three weddings, what's the point? Katherine/Murphy's better be GOOD! I thought something BIG was supposed to happen in May, which will keep us talking for years. |

These previews are so vague, they're giving nothing away. It's not like the previews for the other shows where so much detail is given out. |

Serious, I could have made most of these myself. But I'll take this ANYDAY over giving us the goose and the gander (Ken Corday) It,s going to be great getting all these surprises he alludes to. |

LoL, I wouldn't say it sucks. It just needs to be amped up a bit. I like it when they actually give it some play. |

Y&R, unlike other soaps, seems much better at not spoiling every single plot twist and story nuance way ahead of time. I wouldn't be surprised if Hamner was tight-lipped on purpose, especially if something big is happening that they want to play as a genuine shocker. |

Another more plausible reason could be, considering that these spoilers are vague, the show figures Nia Peeples ouster is all you need to know! |

Hamner says what he finds fascinating about Nikki and Victor's relationship is that they are not retelling the same story. HUH? How many times have we seen N&V realize they still love each other and reunite? And from the spoiler it sounds as if that is what is going to happen again so how is that not retelling the same story? I think Adam will cause Ashley to lose the baby, it will end Ashley and Victor's relationship and very likely Ashley will have another one of her periodic nervous breakdowns. |

I hope you are right. I detest the horrible abusive Victor and never want to see him anywhere near Nikki. But what else could Hamner mean by those comments about N&V if not hinting at a reunion? Does anyone think that the second wedding Hamner is referring to is Nikki and Paul. They fit the description in every way except that their's is not an "unexpected romance" since they have been involved for months though they rarely get any air time. It can't be Victor and Ashley (though they deserve each other) since that so called romance has been going on for months and could hardly be called "unexpected." That is an interesting theory that the second wedding involves a returning character with someone who is alread on canvas. |
