Lauren Koslow Stars in When Actors Need Money

Lauren Koslow (Kate, DAYS) stars in the new Strike.TV comedy pilot "When Actors Need Money."

The lovely DAYS actress stars as Marsha Leigh Dixon, a soap-opera actress. Marsha and her husband, makeup artist Bobby Malloy, have been struggling to make ends meet ever since leaving her role on the daytime drama "As Time Passes By." In the pilot episode, she enlists the help of music producer Alan Martin to help her make an album. She has even agreed to sing at a Turkish music festival, even though she has never sung publicly before. At the end of the 10-minute episode, Lauren sings "The Size of Your Love" during the credits.

The pilot episode can be viewed at Strike.TV -- http://www.strike.tv/show/when-actors-need-money/pilot/ . "When Actors Need Money" was created, written, and executive-produced by David M. Matthews and Nick Schillace. David won an Emmy in 1989 for Outstanding Musical Direction & Composition for his work on "The Young and the Restless." Nick is a makeup artist and also Lauren's real-life husband. The series also stars Barton Tinapp as Bobby Malloy.
