Major Melrose Place Teaser!; Guess who meets their maker?

A trustworthy source has revealed to me that the first episode of Melrose Place will feature the shocking death of Sydney, the Melrose Place landlord portrayed by Laura Leighton of the original series. According to my source, her lifeless body will be found floating face down in the pool, an apparent homicide. I'm told that this will kick off an exciting season-long murder mystery storyline, but Sydney has met her maker and risen from the grave before. This time, is she really, most sincerely dead? Also, I'm told that Ashlee Simpson's character is definitely the wicked witch of Melrose Place 2.0. Total bitch on wheels. Just to clarify, I have not seen the premiere episode of MP 2.0 with my own eyes. I'm simply passing along information that comes from a trustworthy source. Make of it what you will!
