It's really not fair to let Speidi come back after they skipped out on the public vote and didn't have to participate in the food challenges, but I still want them back. The show is boring without them! |

Heidi & Spencer's Spooky Night in the Lost Chamber They tried to quit the jungle in Costa Rica three times, but newly undeterred Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt spent the night in the dreaded 'Lost Chamber' while waiting for the cast of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! to vote on their possible return. The attention-starved pair thought they would be surrounded in the dark by creepy crawlies as they were in an earlier challenge, but this time around, "What we did was a far more interesting psychological experiment," says Paul Telegdy, NBC's executive vice president of alternative programming. In scenes likely to be shown on Monday's episode, Speidi were tormented instead Thursday by the sound of an acorn dragged by a fishing pole along the floor of the chamber, and the feel of wind on their backs blown by a small tube. "When we cut the lights," Telegdy says, "We have them on infrared cameras, and all we can say is you see two sets of very terrified eyes, blinking, goggle-eyed, terror-struck! They prayed quite vigorously." Before the lights were even turned off, Spencer hurt his hand while trying to dispatch a single offending spider seen in the room. Telegdy says Spencer called out, "I've dislocated my thumb! Emergency! Call a medic!'" But when the medic asked if Spencer could give a thumb's up, he still could. "'Then you haven't dislocated your thumb, Spencer! Sit down! Don't be ridiculous.'" Telegdy says the medic responded, adding that Spencer continued, "'No, I've got to see a medic! This is the worst thing I've ever done in my life!'" Angela Shelton, the comedienne who was voted off the show Thursday night, had this to say about the notorious twosome in a conference call with reporters: "My immediate instinct is they want to get back on the show [because] they are definitely people 24/7 on the J-O-B of promoting themselves." She added, "The show is all about giving people chances, [but] I've never seen them do any work in their lives. They're pretty closed off." |

Why am I not surprised? :eyeroll: What happened did she break a fingernail? I am so over these two. They held my attention for about 1 day on this show. Just tired of all their antics. It is going to be like the Boy Who Cried Wolf. They are actually at some point going to be real and no one will care because of how many times they were acting. |

Heidi & Spencer -- Tortured? Heidi Pratt was tortured by NBC to the point she was "convulsively throwing up" -- that's what some people on the set of "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" are telling TMZ. We've learned Heidi was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a gastric ulcer, after being held with hubby Spencer Pratt in a dark room for a day and a night with only water, rice and beans. It was designed as punishment because they left the show. One cast member described their treatment this way -- "It's the same as Guantanamo Bay." And get this ... a cast member tells us NBC execs tried to convince Heidi to stay on the set rather than take an ambulance to a hospital for treatment. She has now left the hospital and is on meds. We're told some of the cast members want to quit, but their passports have been taken away and they are under guard. Paul Telegdy, NBC's Exec VP of Alternative Programming, told Ryan Seacrest about holding Heidi and Spencer in isolation as punishment, adding, "...They are now going to be examined, and their value system utterly deconstructed ...These people really are going to bare their souls. We're told Spencer has fired his lawyer (who wanted him to stay on the show) and is now planning to sue NBC over the show. Spencer and Heidi now want out ... for good....but there's a problem -- they signed a contract with NBC to do the show. ---------------------------------------- Wow. This show is such a disaster! LoL! Now the cast wants to quit and Heidi almost died? Ridiculous. Stephanie Pratt tweeted that Heidi was left in a dark room for three days with no food or water. Clearly, she is full of crap. Oh, and why wasn't Speidi's contract an issue when they tried to quit the show before? My guess it that it was all staged. This show is such a hot mess. |

Good point about the contracts before Kenny. Goes with my Boy Who Cried Wolf Theory. What is an act or what is real. Was everything else an act and this is real or is this still part of the act? The show is a total mess. Have to wonder how much now is a staged just to get media coverage. |

OH GOOD GRIEF,being left in a room with water, rice and beans,oh good grief you self centered idiots people have survived on alot worse than that, this show is a piece of cake compared to SURVIVOR,suck it up,so I guess its easy to assume that Speidi would have sucked and whined just as much on SURVIVOR or FEAR FACTOR.Why the heck did they agree to the show in the first place,oh yeah THE HILLS isn't on tv at the moment so Spencer probably wanted more people to see him since he's the ''most popular celebrity there is right now'',I just about GAGED when he said that,he's so popular that most people I know have no clue who he or Heidi even are. |

For real? There's 9 players left and only two and a half weeks left? So I take it that a person will leave every other episode then? Color me surprised. I thought it was a whole summer. Edited by Rick, Jun 7 2009, 02:22 PM.

From TMZ: Folks behind the scenes at "I'm a Celebrity ...Get Me Out 0f Here!" at are going after Spencer Pratt something fierce. Here's a source is saying... -- Spencer and Heidi Pratt quit the show last Monday, and stayed in hotels for 3 days. -- There were no critters where they stayed, other than the usual bugs in Costa Rica. -- They were indoors at all times protected from the elements, even though other cast members have been sleeping outside in daily thunderstorms. -- They were never in any danger and they slep most of the time. -- No one is being held against their will. Spencer says it's all BS ... they were effectively tortured and he's planning on suing NBC. |

Yes this show was only for the month of June and when it started they said the "stars" would be stuck there for three weeks if they won. Joel McHale had a field day on "The Soup" about this show, and "Best Week Ever" was all Hey Frangela. |

Apparently Spencer fired the lawyer who convinced him to stay on the show. He and Heidi have officially quit and will not be going back. Heidi's sister will take her place. NBC is backtracking quite a bit here. At first, they were talking about how Heidi and Spencer would be "broken to their core" by the experience of having to stay in that room overnight, and now they're making it sound like the whole experience was nothing more than a spa vacation. Which is it? Torture or no torture? Real or fake? With NBC trying to make themselves look like innocents in all of this, I have to wonder if they'll water down the Speidi footage on tomorrow night's episode. I'm guessing they'll try to make it look as tame as possible, which sucks hardcore. |

You know there were cameras on them the entire time. So either NBC is lying or Spencer is. Even if they water it down, it will be interesting to see what that room was like. |
