I've never minded this Lily and I DON'T want to watch another cancer death on Y&R! Hope was depressing enough! I think this was supposed to be KAREN'S story because SHE was worried about cancer although she had a hysterectomy to lessen her risk! It seems strange that after her concerns about uterine cancer, we get a storyline with her former(?) step-daughter getting sick with cancer! |

Kenny thanks for the info but is it possible you can post the script for "Julia" I wonder which character is being recasted, if this is a recast for a current character then why has Colleen and Phyllis name been replaced? :unsure: because they would test scenes only relating to that ONE particular character i mean WTF from going onto Colleen, then to Phyllis scene? |

I hate the cancer storylines! My husband (who was 30 at the time), was diagonsed with testicular cancer in 2004, and had 2 surgerys and lots and lots of chemotheraphy. My aunt died of breast cancer a year later, my close friend at 24 was diagonsed with breast cancer, lost both of her breasts and cannot have anymore children because her cancer was hormone driven, thank God she had a son, and my grandfather died of lung cancer when I was 19. They never get their shit right in these storylines. It makes me sick. And dying of cancer is not funny in anyway shape form or fashion! To watch a vibrant life slowly and painfully wither away into a skeleton of a person is haunting... To see them in pain, sick, wanting to eat because they know they need to and can't because they throw it up and that takes all of the energry they have. Not being able to sleep because chemotheraphy puts a woman into menopause and the hot flashes are unbearable, AT 24. You have no idea until you go through it yourself, or someone you love does... And I don't wish that on anyone. Not even Lily.... |

I'm sorry for everything you've gone through, but come on. This is a fictional character. If I want to wish for her to get brutally raped and murdered, it doesn't make me a bad person, because she's not real. |

Cancer happens, so be it. As long as they are real with it- I say go for it. I for one just like the s/l to be presented realistically. On DOOL there was a character with supposed stage 4 cancer, she never looked sick, never a day without makeup and of course was miraculously cured. Cancer sux, but it happend, so why not on a soap- and why not Lily? Why not anyone...you don't get to pick in reel life or real life. :shame: Edited by restless daze, Jun 30 2009, 11:11 PM.

Some more news about the recasting spoiler Soap Opera Digest reports that the magazine was told "not to assume the show is recasting the lovely lawyer." A show source echoes the report, telling soapcentral.com that the show doesn't want anyone to catch on to the role that they are really recasting. And they are using Heather's old scenes to audition for new actress, but the recasted character is supposed to be the same ethnicity and around the same age as Heather. So who is in Heather's age group hmmm? |
