Don't look for Judi Evans (ex-Adrienne/Bonnie, DAYS; ex-Paulina, AW; ex-Beth, GL) to join Wally Kurth at DAYS. Soap Opera Digest got the exclusive with Evans, who is joining the cast of AS THE WORLD TURNS on August 26. "I need to get back to New York; I have a 20 by 20 storage unit full of furniture that I have to clean out," Evans laughs. "I was going to go this summer anyway, so it was very out of the blue and it was certainly welcome. I'm looking forward to working with Chris Goutman [executive producer, who she worked with on AW] again and I can't wait to see Julie Pinson [Janet; ex-Billie, DAYS]. I miss her!" Details of her character and who she'll interact with are being kept under wraps for now. Soap Opera Digest

And its too bad she won't be returning to Days as Adrienne with Justin back...but maybe this is short term(aren't roles on ATWT typically shorter now days anyways? Though maybe I have it switched up with GL or another soap...not sure) and she can come back later on.

Posts: 691 Group: Elite Member Member #11 Joined: June 11, 2007	When it was reported that Cady McClain was returning, it was said that they scrapped a Mary Beth Evans return as Sierra due to money issues. I do think Evans could end up being a cheaper recast. We know ATWT loves to do that.

If it's going to be a long-term role, they'd need someone to move out there and do it. She liked to fly out when there was actual story, tape, and return home. But when they put her on contract, all the constant back and forth seemed not to work for her...Maybe it didn't work for her family. But Judi wants to move back to NY, sounds like, so this'll be right up her alley. I wonder what the role actually is? A new role or a recast?

My wish list and random guesses (based on absolutely nothing)... - Frannie Hughes (probably not since ATWT tends to hire big names for short-term guest roles but I'd love it) - Noah's Aunt Ruth (Robin Mattson's character's sister) - Some random psycho (ATWT loves the psycho of the month club so this could be yet another one of those) - Paulina Cory (yes, I'm an AW fanatic but if Jake was on ATWT why not Paulina?) :)

I really do hope they have it that Justin and Adrienne are no longer together. There are too many limitations when you bring on someone like Justin, who is married to someone off-screen.
