Why??? I thought Stefano was over the whole wanting Marlena's daughter for his son. Why would he want to break up Sami and Rafe, meaning Sami would probably go back to EJ?
Oh God! I thought we were over this coupling that makes no sense.
I don't really mind Stephanie and Nathan coming together. It ties Nathan more into the show, rather than having him instantly strike up a relationship with Melanie. That's unbelievable. I'd buy it if Nathan met the other women on the show first and then decided to pursue Melanie. That way, at least he had some variety, and the couple won't seem so contrived. But I'm a Philip and Stephanie fan so I hope this remains just a friendship.
What past? Brady married and divorced Chloe and that's pretty much it. I guess they are talking about his addiction. I wonder if Arianna has had her own addiction and that's why she's backing off. Two reformed addicts coming together is never a good thing.
This must be Rachel Kimsey's character Meredith. I like Kimsey, so I hope Meredith is going to be here to stay and not just a typical Higley short-term character that will serve her purprose (probably being a psycho ex) and then vanish without a trace of ever being there three months later.
I can't believe this story is actually still going on.
Are we even surprised by this spoiler? With all of the talks about how great this "triangle" is going to be from the young actors, I was hoping we'd get more than just your typical jocks butting heads over the damsel. I do have to ask, where the hell are the Bo and Hope spoilers? In the summer previews, Corday mentioned Bo and Hope a little, but said there wouldn't be much for them until July. Well, the July spoilers are here and we don't get jack shit about Bo and Hope. Based on the casting news (Stabile and Graham), we know that something is going to happen to Bo and Hope. I'm just disappointed we didn't get even a mention for the show's veteran couple. |

Ugh, the Kate/Chloe thing is dragging out way too long. The story sucks! Phillip and Melanie?? I thought they were done with that. Thanks, Ellie! |

I donīt see a problem here. Phillip and Mel had great chemistry during their little adventure when they tried to safe Steph. And I doubt anything serious will happen between them. Not anymore, because Mel is already getting interested in Nathan and besides she will know Phillip is still in love with Steph so I doubt she will agree to be just his bed warmer. And I doubt Steph and Nathan will be anything more than friends as well. I think itīs a great setup and classic DAYS quadrangle. It would be too easy if Mel and Nathan just fell for each other and thatīs it, end of story. And if Phillip and Steph really love each other they will find a way to each other again. I can already see the scenes where Mel is flaunting her relationship with Phillip (which is really not so great behind the doors) only to be secretly jealous at Nathan and his friendship with Steph. Good times. ;) |

Wow...it seems like we go through this everytime SOW does these little preview tidbit things. These are just vague TIDBITS. They are in no way a comprehensive preview. I would think people would know this by now based on the past. They are like this for all the shows. I don't even know why SOW did this for July when July is not a sweeps months or anything. These don't sound bad. I'm ready for the Kate/Chloe/Daniel stuff to end. The fact they are dragging it out tells me that some people in this story are definitely leaving. You almost get the sense they are stalling until some contract cycles are up or something. I can see why Stefano is screwing with Rafe and Sami. Rafe is getting close to the truth so he is going to break up Sami and Rafe as a distraction and to try to get rid of Rafe. Makes sense. I don't mind Philip and Melanie. Melanie is much different now then this past winter and many praised her and Philip on their recent adventure. As Jane said, I don't expect Melanie to be as accepting of Philip's attention as she once was because of Nathan and throwing Stephanie at Nathan is not a bad idea either. I would like them to develop Stephanie on her own a bit but I think an interaction with Nathan could be good for her and may renew the Melanie/Stephanie tension. We know Bo and Hope have stuff coming up and we know there is no way EJ and Nicole are being backburnered so them not being mentioned here means nothing. They are just vague little tidbits and I like that. I wish spoilers in general were more vague. |

Thanks for posting these spoilers Angie! Nightmarish spoilers indeed, but at least I know I'll have more free time in July. The Kate/Chloe/Lucas/Daniel mess is atrocious. Why do they think I want to watch Chloe work things out with Lucas when we never saw Broe trying to work things out? Luloe are awful and boring, Danloe got a naughty start but at least they don't bore me to tears. |

Yeah but no one ever behaves like it is, mostly because it's summer and most of primetime is in a hiatus. Whatever the case, these aren't exactly meant to be comprehensive so I wouldn't take July to be a shit month based on just these. Hell, if you read the tidbits listed for all the shows in SOW, they are just like this for pretty much all of them so I think it's too early to say how bad or good a show will be next month. |

I'm with you Paxton - I can't figure out why Days seems incapable of putting Philip with an age appropriate woman. I guess I should at least be glad they had Stephanie finally graduate college - but isn't Melanie just out of high school? I keep thinking JKJ just can't be happy about this. He didn't like being part of the teen scene the first go-round and wanted more mature storylines...and now here he is seven years later after he first left and dating girls the same age as before. Plus, so far (IMO), Philip and Melanie have had a zero on the chemistry scale (although the show seems not to care since he has no chemistry with Stephanie either). At this point I'd rather see him with MM's Belle again (which isn't my first choice since I do prefer him with Chloe and I don't want him to be on the losing end of a triangle again which he would be if Shawn were in the picture) than be stuck with any more little girls. |

Okay, I'll give you that much. There is the possibility that some other things could happen which aren't listed in these spoilers that might be decent, but the fact still remains that these particular spoilers suck. These things will be happening, and none of it sounds interesting. Don't blame SOW. You're acting like it's SOW's fault the show sucks simply because they're the ones who released the spoilers. Don't shoot the messenger! LoL. Shoot the fucking idiots in charge. |

I have to (respectfully) disagree. A classic quad is one where it's natural for all sides to come into contact. I know a few people like Melanie and Philip together, but basically you have the same issues with what we had with Chan and Chex/Stax. The people who are opposed to it are GREATLY opposed to it and thus the show must take precious airtime to try to convince us "give it a chance, you'll like it" when "No, we won't" becomes louder and louder. I know the ratings are improving but I still don't think Days should waste any time on couples who will be going no where. And treating Molly Burnett like she's Heather Locklear coming to save Melrose Place isn't gonna do it. It's almost laughable, except it's just not funny. Probably the bigger issue is Philip in this quad. The character (and actor) should be about 30 now, so having him hang around people barely twenty is icky. I know Dena has a hard on for age appropriate relationships, but it's getting ridiculous. It was her decision to make Melanie 18 and casting young MB (both in face and voice) keeps her that way. She looks ridiculous opposite guys like Philiip (which is bad enough) and Brady too (which is even worse). I am fine with Nathan for her, and I realize this may just be a means to keep conflicts for the new couple, but Philip is being ruined in the meantime. I can deal with him and Stephanie but barely. I dealt with his chasing after Belle because she was someone from his HS years but now he's a ruthless business tycoon and war veteran. The idea someone as adolescent as Melanie turning his head in any form is just another staple of Dena's ability to ruin characters. |

Well, first off...I don't think the show sucks and many agree with me, just like many agree with you that it may suck. Neither of us are right or wrong so assuming either position is a proven fact is unfair IMO. Secondly, all I was saying is that you can't base viewing decisions on a couple of vague tidbits in a magazine. Hell, you can't even when it's more comprehensive. That goes for ANY show. not just Days. All the tidbits are like this for the shows, some worse then Days, so my point is simply this. If your already down on the show, fine. However, to those who may be trying it out or watching sparingly or consistently, I wouldn't let these tidbits deter me from watching but, again, that is just my opinion. Soaps definitely behave like it is. There are usually big July stories and historically many stories have climaxed in July. Soap viewership is different than primetime during the summer; many people who are not home during the year are home during the day to watch soaps in the summer. Now granted, Days' attempts at July stories (elevator sex) haven't been that wonderful in past years, but I think they are acknowledging that they should be ramping up their stories. I agree with the others in this thread that the problem is just in the execution though, lol. |

God will the Danloe storyline end!!!!!! I kinda liked Melanie/Phillip but I wanted Melanie to move on from that little crush, because I don't like this. Since they're bringing on so many people on they should have just brought back Martha Madison and another recasted Shawn for Phillip to hang around because him and Stephanie ain't gonna last. Not so sure about that as in all my years I've seen more stories climaxing in August then July. Hell, I see more in June. This is only the second year I've ever seen SOW do these little tidbits and you never see soaps mention July sweeps and how big everything is going to be and so on. All the soaps amp up their stories, particularly involving the youth, in summer. It has very little to do with any sort of July sweeps effect IMO. Usually, you see big things spread out over the 3 month period of summer, which is why sometimes May sweeps sucks for most soaps because they are building more for summer. |
