Hopefully in a few months, we get news that Max tragically died in a bad accident.
I would settle for him being paralyzed before he leaves Salem, but Dena saves that kind of extra-special romance for veteran characters.
lol! The sad part is this is COMPLETELY TRUE.

Max and Chelsea were together from Summer 2005 to Fall 2006, originally. I wouldn't forget torture like that.
Yea but most of the time was spent Chelsea wanting someone else. Or giving him a blow job. And then they only came together this year because there was no one else left in their age bracket since Max couldn't date Melanie. (Though not sure what's stopping him).
   Max/Melanie post is too damn funny! LOL!

Looking at the current cast, Max practically is a veteran character.

I swear if SAFE ever gets married they'll have Rafe propose after the wedding.

LMAO! No shit!
In order for Safe to work for me, I think they need angst or something. For Sami Brady, this couple is just too boring...why do all the men Sami ends up with turn into tail-between-the-legs lap doggie?

Also, LMAO at Max being back! When will this dude just go! This is just too funny and everyone's comments are spot on! I am also waiting for Chelsea to pop up too. There is just no excuse, other than stupidity, that these two get such a long departure where interesting characters and exciting couples are written out in an hours notice. Just weird.

Usually, I might like a strip poker scene (wouldn't it be awesome to have Sami, EJ, Nicole, Rafe, Lucas, Chloe, Brady poker scene?? Oh, the jealousy, anger, fun of it all!) but with these people - two of which are newbies, the other two acting like brother/sister, its just not doing it for me. I am just not warming up to Arianna.

Syanara to Steph/Phillip! I am so damn tired of those two breaking up, getting engaged, breaking up, Steph is okay being a Kiriakis, breaking up, etc. For such potential with them, I hope they are splitsville for good!

NOt too bad spoilers! Thanks so much, Angie!

Holy crap! Someone should check the temperature in hell...I totally agree with every word of your post! :P Especially your scenario for a strip poker scene. *fans self*

And as for a Safe wedding...that could only happen IF they found out the one or the other is actually still married to someone else so they could first forge the paperwork to make their new marriage 'legal'. :eyeroll:

What is so hilarious about this dragging out Max's exit thing is that despite his uncle-fucking ways, despite how all over the place the character was written, I haven't come to hate Max UNTIL his exit where he keeps popping up every two weeks after I'd already thought he'd left town and have been ready for him to be gone.

Up until this I never would have had a problem with Darin Brooks coming back to the show if his post-soaps career didn't work out but now I don't ever want to see his character's ass on this show again.

LOL at Sami asking Rafe to move in now AFTER she had already consented to grant him legal custody of her infant.

I swear if SAFE ever gets married they'll have Rafe propose after the wedding.

Well Grace has died, Will is living with Caroline, EJ has taken Johnny and Sami has Ali part time. She's techically going to be living alone in that town house now....whereas before with all those kids and their still adjusting to Grace as a new edition to the family it would hardly have been appropriate for Rafe to join them too!

So EJ's kind of helped this new offer from Sami to be possible. Thanks EJ.

Arianna gets promoted.

Max asks Bo for permission to marry Chelsea.

Mia discovers that Chad has taken a job at the Java Cafe.

Nicole gets worried when she finds out that Stephanie and Philip broke up.

Brady, Arianna, Melanie and Nathan play strip poker.

Chad tells Will that he and Mia used to date.

Brady and Nathan take Melanie and Arianna out to dinner.

Victor wants Stephanie to make up with Philip.

Stephanie runs into Nathan.

Hope gives Ciara a new toy.

Nathan and Stephanie discuss family.

Melanie wants to help Stephanie and Philip get back together.
Don't care about Arianna, Melanie, Nathan, Stephanie, Chad, Mia or any of these fucking idiots. Why are they in every spoiler for every episode? Good God! This show is so unrecognizable. These stories are bullshit and I wish all these random nobody characters would die.

Aren't Max and Chelsea already gone? Why should we care what happens to them now? They're off-screen.

Why the fuck would Nicole care about Stephanie and Philip?

Strip poker will only be interesting if Nathan freaks out over the possibility of them seeing his herpes outbreak. Then he should break into song about it.
I just need to ask this...how do you expect to care about these characters when your not even watching the show?! Even if you were watching, I doubt you would allow yourself to care about these characters because you and a few others are so set against liking these characters and what the show is doing that I'm pretty sure the show could be up to the quality of Shakesphere and some of you would still think it was the worst thing ever. Your entitled to that but I'm just saying.

Seriously, I know you feel the show is no longer the show you love and that is fine but you know what this show is now yet you and others come into a thread expecting something else. I don't get that. The show's been like this for months so it shouldn't be a surprise that the spoilers are all focused on people you either don't like or don't know when that has been the case for months. The show no longer caters to you and others likes. Sometimes that happens. I think many are getting their hopes up now with WK and CC returning and I just have to say that those unhappy now are probably going to be unhappy when they return too. This is not the same show and it's never going to be again, nor should it be. They would be stupid to abandon something that is working.

Again, no offense but I just don't understand all the shock and disdain when you know what to expect LOL.

Anyway, on to the spoilers...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Max is still on the show!! I kept wondering where the farewell scenes with Bo and co were because Darin mentioned them. I thought they just cut them or something. Damn...longest exit in history. I agree that they've pretty much made me hope he doesn't return. Ugh. Max asking Bo for his blessing to marry Chelsea is just...ugh.

This Chloe poisoning plot entertains me a little but it's beyond old now. I get they are stalling but enough is enough. If you have to stall, put the bitch in a coma and pick up the story a little down the road and then climax it. Don't subject us to days of Chloe suffering with Kate spewing over the top dialogue. This has Whitesell/Tomlin written all over it. Channeling JER, much?

Looking forward to the rest.

I'm open to new characters; this has nothing to do with that. I've watched, and I haven't liked what I've seen. Is it really so inconceivable that I might have given them a fair shake and still not liked them?

As for the show in general, it was only a year and a half ago when I was loving the show and thought it was firing on all cylinders. But then, Higley and Tomlin and Whitesell came in and pissed all over that, and ever since then, I've found what I used to know as Days of Our Lives to be a boring, poorly written and acted plot-driven mess filled with people I don't know and, for the most part, don't like. And it wouldn't take writing the calibre of Shakespeare to make me happy. I can look past poor writing, as long as I'm entertained (obviously, since I loved DAYS in the 90s). The number one thing I look for when I'm watching a show is to be entertained, above all else. But I'm not entertained, so I won't excuse these writers' pathetic attempt at writing.

You're absolutely right on one thing, though. They aren't catering to me or any other longtime DAYS fans anymore. Instead, they're constantly flipping us the finger as if we never mattered.

No, it's not inconceivable. But I do think that if you already make up your mind before a person shows up, then it's hard to change one's mind. I think so many are resistant because of those let go and of who is writing that they set themselves up not to like these characters. It's kind of like how many were with Passions. So many AW fans stuck up their nose at Passions because of AW being taken away to make room for it and I think that happened here. Days got rid of many of the vets and brought in new characters and now many fans are reacting the same as those AW fans did to Passions. Again, not saying it's wrong to feel that way. Just pointing it out.

My original point, though, was that people know what to expect now yet it seems they open this thread up and act shocked by what they see. That is all I'm saying. I don't get that. The show has been this way since November so I just don't get the tone of surprise and shock.

Also, this statement you made:

"You're absolutely right on one thing, though. They aren't catering to me or any other longtime DAYS fans anymore. Instead, they're constantly flipping us the finger as if we never mattered."

That is how many felt in the 90's when JER came on and completely changed the show. That was the basis of so many debates on message boards over the use where you had JER fans vs JER haters. When JER came on, Days gave a big FU to most of it's long-time fans. The same thing happened in the 80's to fans of Days before the supercouple era. It's happened before and the same is happening here. It's sad but sometimes shows go in directions that many fans hate. Maybe it will revert back someday, maybe it won't.

I think some feel I don't get it. I do get it and I respect the opinion of those who just aren't into the show right now. I know it sucks to see a show change like Days has. I hated what JER did in the 90's at first because I grew up on 80's Days. It took me awhile to actually enjoy it but I did eventually. From that point on, I've learned to kind of just roll with the fact that shows change eventually. They have to evolve and change but some aren't as patient and tolerant as me, obviously LOL.

Those hating the show now may not come to enjoy it eventually and maybe they will. It's sad that not everyone can be happy but it is true...you can't please everyone. However, the one thing fans always have is their memories of the times they did love the show and I think that is something a fan can always take heart in.

I'm so sick of the argument that I have to watch the show every day to have an opinion. I'm not watching the show because the characters suck and the writing blows. I don't have to tune in every day to form an opinion. I follow the show via spoilers and I do tune in once a month or so. That's more than enough for me to know that these people don't interest me and the stories suck and the show looks like hell.

Tomlin/Higley will never be Shakespeare.

I didn't come into this thread "expecting something else." I expected shitty spoilers and that's exactly what I got. Am I not allowed to express my feedback? Why is it suddenly so wrong for me to say that the spoilers sound like crap?

I'm glad you said this isn't the same show though, because that's the damn truth. I don't understand why anyone would continue watching out of loyalty just because it happens to still be called "Days of Our Lives." What's happening on-screen is anything but Days of Our Lives. I'm glad you and millions of others are enjoying it though. I hope the critics have to wipe jizz out of their Hanes with every episode.

So what?

Is this supposed to mean that we should be more understanding of the current transition just because we liked the show during the JER transition almost twenty years ago? Should we turn the other cheek and act as if the shit taking place right now is soap opera gold just because we liked JER? Does it make us hypocrites that we were so willing to accept the other transition but we're unwilling to accept this one? I don't understand why you constantly bring this up. We know that JER made the show different than it was before, and we know that Tomlin/Higley are doing the same thing. The difference is, I liked JER's transition. I don't like this one.

It doesn't mean anything. Just pointing it out.

I never said that you couldn't express your view either. I just didn't understand the need to broadcast once again that this is not the same show because that fact has been established for months now. It's getting repetitive now IMO.

This is exactly why I've been keeping a low profile in Days threads because it's hard to even point out certain observations. That is all I was doing. Just posting a view about how this has happened in the past and what I feel may be affecting the way certain viewers react. That doesn't mean anyone is wrong to feel as they do. It's just observations I've noted. I could be wrong about those observations. It's just my view on things.

Oh, come on! I could make a laundry list of things you say that are repetitive, LoL.

"We can't judge the show based on these spoilers."

"They have no choice but to change the show because of the budget."

"Tomlin is doing a great job of giving the show a vision and making decisions that other producers were too afraid to make."

"Ed Scott had no right to do what he did and he deserved to be fired."

"The show is in a much better place with Tomlin in charge than it was with Ed Scott in charge."

"The show is much better with Higley than it was with Hogan."

"The show is much better with Hogan than it was with JER."

"The show is much better with JER than it was with Higley."

"The show is much better with Higley than it was with Langan."

"The show is much better with Langan than it was with SSM."

We've been hearing the same schpiel since 1999. You always give the benefit of the doubt and make excuse after excuse when it comes to Days. They could air nothing but a black screen in place of Days every day and you'd be like, "Well this is great. At least they're saving money." At long as it's got that hourglass attached, you'll be ready to eat it up.

Sorry if I'm being mean, but damn it, you don't get to come in here and tell me that I should basically shut the fuck up because you're bored with my opinions. That's shitty.

But who isn't on Stefano's bad side really, except for Nicole and EJ.

Is Max ever gonna leave? Why get permission from Bo to marry Chelsea, not like she is gonna have to change last names, she'll still be Chelsea Brady or actually Chelsea Brady Brady.

First off, I've only been on the boards since 2004.

Second off, my point was that people shouldn't act shocked when they come in here and see who is in the spoilers. That's all. I just feel it's repetitive. I never said don't state your opinion.

And I've never pretended to be anyone but who I am. Yes, I always seem to enjoy my show (except for most of 2005, which I did post about and bash over on SON) and I do get repetitive alot. Yes, I like to play devil's advocate and can be argumentative alot but that is because I like debate and discussion. I don't think there is enough of it. People either like something or hate something. There is never a in between anymore.

I never said you or anyone else couldn't voice their opinion. NEVER. I was not telling anyone what to do. I often make suggestions or post things that I would do. I never once direct anyone or tell someone they have to do something. Sure, I point things out about what viewers may be thinking or what may be why they are reacting the way they are. That is what started all this in the first place. How is that wrong?

Whatever. If I offended anyone, I apologize. I am who I am, love me or hate me.
