Y&R/B&B: Sean Kanan brings Deacon Sharpe to Genoa City

Some have been wondering if he might be the person behind Daniel's (Michael Graziadei's) recent troubles, since he shares a past with Amber (Adrienne Frantz). That still remains to be seen. What we do know is that Sean's first scenes will be with Amelia Heinle's Victoria Newman! Soaps.com is so pleased to see this actor return to Daytime! Mark your calendar for July 10, which is when Deacon is first seen!

They just added Tricia Cast, the old Phillip is coming back, John Driscoll is joining, and now Sean Kanan (who i think is hot by the way)...And how are they going to be able to write for everyone? The cast just seems way too large.. Don't forget that MTS just re-signed "on her own terms," as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few actors get the axe over the next couple of months. The cast is too large and there are many characters I forget are even on the show because they get so little play. As for Deacon/Kanan... ugh. So unnecessary.

Also, I did not realize that MTS resigned on her own terms, whatever that means. So I guess she is staying put at Y&R? Is Decan on a contract, or is this just a short stint? I did like him on B&B. This means now that Y&R has 6 newcomers on the show: 1.)Thom Bierdz 2.)John Driscoll 3.)Wilson Bethel 4.)Deacon Sharpe 5.)Shemar Moore-only for a short visit 6.)Michale Muhney I suppose this means there will probably be some characters exiting the show to make room for all the newcomers. The piece at Soaps.com is not exactly the same as your piece at SON. At least they had the decency to re-word it, LoL. We know you confirmed the news. I can't tell you how many times things have been taken from here and credited to others. In fact, it wasn't so long ago that Toups was urging SON members to copy the weekly Y&R/Days articles from here and post them at your site without credit or a link. When I asked him about it, he simply said that he doesn't want Daytime Royalty promoted at SON. So... yeah. That road travels both ways, but you were given credit. No worries. :)

I'll be interested to see what Maria can do with Deacon, since she made me actually like Amber. I agree wholeheartedly. Amber's still too shrill (I blame Frantz) but I like her far better now. She's much more well-rounded. I always liked Sean Kanan and especially Deacon so I can't wait to see what Bell does with him. I suspect it's short-term with the possibility of long-term.
