OMH Thanks... Please don't have Dinah die though...this show has killed or will kill enough characters as it is. Good luck to Gina wherever she may land.

I knew that her contract was up around this time, but since she loves GL so much, I thought for sure she'd extend it through the finale.

I'm kind of pissed that she did this since Dinah is my favorite GL character and I don't think it would have killed her to stay on ONE MORE MONTH, but I hope this means she's signed on with Y&R!

Meanwhile, hooray to the news that Scruffy O'Neill is being killed off! Do you have any idea when this glorious news will take place on screen, Nelson?

What long term story plans? A month? Comon, lol.

For that matter, did they ever have long term story plans?

Well, let's hope the new soap gig is Y&R, if in fact she has signed elsewhere.

As for Guiding Light, it no longer matters who quits and who sticks around. They'll all be jobless soon enough.

It looks like Jeffrey's demise is the week after the BBQ at least according to the spoilers we do have.

Her story affects a lot of people. Long term story in terms of a Sept-18 finale. I had that in, but my editor took it out saying — that's obvious.

Always the Panic Spreader

I like that Nelson..."She stopped drinking the Jesus Juice." I must have drank some to continue to watch it.

What is it with GL and planning story for people when they may not be available to play them? This is not the first time this has happened (like when more than once they wrote it as if Phillip was going to come back and Grant said no), though considering the cancellation it may be the last.

Dinah's story should effect a lot of people, but Gina has to do what she feels is right for herself.

Yeah, you'd think they'd solidify something like an actor's contract before writing them heavily. Especially when they know everyone on that show is looking for work now. If they really wanted to, they could always have recast.

If she is coming to Y&R, I only want her as a Victoria recast. I dont see the need to prop up the useless Heather character with someone like her, unless they're going to give her a total overhall. She'd make a great Mac and probably have chemestry with Billy Miller if they're willing to give Mac a total brain transplant.

Really Gina? I thought you just loved Guiding Light so much...I would almost be willing to bet her new home is at ABC, why would CBS need her NOW, when they could have had her in a month. This is sad, makes me less of a fan!

LoL! I can't see Gina Tognoni as a Mac recast AT ALL. She would be horribly miscast in that role.

if CBS cared about GL they wouldnt have cancelled it. So, moving one to another soap early is not going to be a big deal.

I'm waiting for the standard early cancellation from the local affiliates.

Me neither. She's way too old, IMO. Mac should just be written out altogether. She's a dishrag.
