It's only about, I dunno, six YEARS too late, right? But yeah, I doubt it would have killed her to stay another month or so. But if they can use the money on another vet (I know I know, don't get your hopes up), then I'm all for it. |

The thing is though the show is NOT OVER! They have announced the dates that P&G will release the actors, extending your contract for six weeks would not have been so uncalled for. I'm sorry daytime is (or at least) should be about the fans. Have a little loyalty. It's just as if I the company I worked for was to close in six weeks and I bailed all of a sudden, after the fact THAT THEY MADE ME THIS STAR!! |

Even though Gina had been on OLTL for some years, she wasn't a household name in daytime until GL. She wouldn't be the hot commodity she is now if it hadn't been for her time on this show. |

I dunno about that. It was a pretty big deal when GL snagged her in the first place. She was already known for Kelly and was almost the Tamara Braun version of Carly on GH. |

So realistically, you're being laid off and are going to need money. You can get a good paying job RIGHT NOW, or stay and wait 7 weeks and hope you can find another one. The choice is obvious. |

I read that she already taped all her scenes that will be aired throughout the rest of the series. Since GL tapes (way?) out of sequence, this makes sense. A few years ago, Kim Zimmer joined a stage production and took a month-long leave from GL, but she taped all her scenes before she left.
