Posts: 630 Group: Elite Member Member #2,660 Joined: July 27, 2008	i missed most of last week, so i just have a few thoughts for today. first, i kind it hilarious that bo and hope's conclusion of bo's vision is that they need to hide ciara's bear in a safe place. i guess we can safely assume that zach was right about some misfortune falling on ciara, but i doubt putting her teddy bear up in the attic is going to make a damn bit of difference. my suggestion to them would be to forget all about the bear and keep an eye on their daughter. i guess stephanie has decided for the umpteenth time that she can't change philip and has to dump him again? this storyline would be more convincing if this wasn't the tenth time she's dumped him for the exact same reason. rafe needs to get a life. admittedly, i missed most of last week, but i can't understand why he is so interested in nicole and mia. he needs to lay off and worry about comforting sami right now. i also can't get interested in the big emily secret. it's obvious to anyone with half a brain that rafe didn't kill emily or directly cause her death, so i don't get why they are spending so much time focusing on this story. i am so over arianna and whatever is going on with her and brady. why they have to waste melanie's air time on those two is beyond me. i'd rather see her bantering with nathan than sticking her nose in this. nicole and sami...civil? i loved the scenes between these two, and am really excited to see the two of them scheming against ej. the ej/stefano/judge stuff just pissed me off, as it would anyone with the tiniest modicum of knowledge about how the legal system works. number one, if sami files an appeal, she WILL get a different judge. i hate how this fitzpatrick woman seems to run the criminal, family, and appellate courts. it's stupid. two, i can't for the life of me understand why ej and stefano would even need to bribe anyone. what sami and rafe did goes so much father than trampling on ej's parental rights. they forged a birth certificate for heaven's sake. i'm not even sure how they got a death certificate for the poor child, seeing as how legally, she never existed as a human being. anyway, what the two did was defraud the u.s. government at best, and is also a freaking felony, and that should be enough to send them both to jail, or at the very least, enough to ensure sami loses custody of johnny to ej without him having to do anything underhanded at all.

The only thing is, is I don't see what Sami did as so horrible. It looks like someone messed up SH's eyebrows, she has this perpetual look of skeptism. Fuck EJ. Brianna is just ugh, they've even managed me to not like Melanie. Melanie look like she took one of Stephanie's pills when she was looking up her horoscope. She looked like she was going to have a narcaleptic episode. The actress playing Ciara looked cute trying to sleep.

Not only forging a birth certificate, but the adoption papers and whatever papers at the hospital. Since we're not supposed to "count" that, then I think Sami would lose joint custody and be given court supervised visitation with Johnny. It really takes a lot to END visitation/custody completely (i.e. abuse of the child) and even then the courts revisit the case in 6 months. Liz

I still don't get how Sami loses custody of Johnny if there aren't extreme circumstances. Uncle Mickey should be able to do something...is there any proof for the courts that Sami did anything wrong? And ditto about using Judge Fitzpatrick. Didn't she go against them in the last trial they had with her? When I see the Bope story or anything Brianna, my finger just itches to the FF button.

I'm pretty sure you need roots but I guess all it takes is one. Speaking of legalities, is it against the law to not let the father know of his paternity. What about women who have one night stands?

My "husband" and I have been together for 12 years, and have 4 children together, but never legally married. We had 2 of our children in different states, and in both NV and UT, because we were not married, they would not put him on the birth certificate as the father. We had to send in a signed affidavit stating that he was the father (no blood tests or any other proof, just a statement with our signatures) with our request for the birth certificate, and he was then put on it. In CA, where my other 2 children were born, it didn't matter that we weren't married, we were there together in the hospital room, stating that he was the father, and they put him on the birth certificate. So anyway ... there's that. Don't know that it matters anyway, since this is DAYS, but still ...

I'm annoyed with EJ and Sami, and am enjoying Melanie. It's like the Twilight Zone. Could Kate be any more suspicious? You'd think she'd be better at this by now. If Chloe can't put two and two together once she gets sick, she's an idiot.

If anyone has info on the legal stuff, it'd be interesting to know about all this. Edit - I didn't delve that deeply into all this, and it would depend on the state, but in some areas, EJ would have automatically legally been "the presumed father" of Grace* with all the standard rights/responsibilities because she was conceived while ejami was married. yea, I know Sami didn't conceive Grace, but work with me here. :laugh: Edited by six*, Jun 30 2009, 05:25 PM.
