ATWT really has one of the most talented casts in daytime. Too bad it also has some of the shittiest writing, too. Just a guess, but maybe P&G/Telenext is sending whatever ad revenue GL makes over to ATWT? Edited by Mason, Jul 1 2009, 03:28 PM.

Sad! Steve Frame at soapsWeb just posted that he heard SD will be playing a mafioso!Better and better! I have no great hopes for him or Lynn Herring or Judi Evans when the show is as bad as I find it! And I DO think it will be going the way of GL when that one year renewal is up! What a shame! |

Exactly...someone said hit the nail on the head...hire a talented EP and HW and here's a novel concept use the actors/actresses you have on the roster now! YAY that these people are finding work, but really...Bob, Kim, Susan, Barbara, Lucinda..come on right stories for these guys before hiring ABC castoffs |

I completely agree with the writer of that article. It's a shame how much of the talent is being wasted on ATWT - especially given that most if it consists of actors who have been with the show for decades and are considered by many people to be the faces of ATWT. Colleen Zenk-Pinter, Elizabeth Hubbard, Eileen Fulton, Marie Masters, Don Hastings, Kathryn Hays...all people who should be used as often as Y&R uses Jeanne Cooper. They're the core of ATWT, and if P&G, Goutman, Passanante, etc. want to regain ratings, the first thing they should do would be to take advantage of the goldmine that they're just squandering.

NO OFFENSE at all to Stuart Damon (I'm a huge fan) or the actors, writers, directors and producers who are working hard every day to deliver a quality show. I would love to see Damon integrated into the show (paging Lisa, Barbara, Lucinda, Susan, etc.). I'm simply observing (and commenting on) an unfortunate trend that isn't serving the show effectively in the long run. These are incredibly desperate times, but sometimes desperate measures (stunt casting with ABC vets) aren't necessarily called for. |
