The youth today missed out on some fucking AMAZING cartoons. Rocko's Modern Life, Doug, Sailor Moon (it was pretty brilliant)

:flipoff:

LoL. Seriously, I used to be a BIG Dragon Ball Z fan (NO IDEA why they made a movie?!??!???) and a secret Sailor Moon fan. The battle between Queen Beryl and Sailor Moon was awesome. Actually, I've heard the later years with the new sailor scouts was even better, unfortunately I never got around to watching them.
Did you know in the Japan version, a little before that showdown, Mars actually slaps the shit out of Sailor Moon. Another great moment!

Seriously? Damn I never knew that. I'm going to check YouTube for that one. Why did Mars slap Sailor Moon? I always thought Jupiter was the strongest, and Mercury and her bubbles were lame lol.

Jupiter was easily my favourite.

Well as you know Mars and Sailor Moon have a freinemy relationship. Sailor Moon as Serena was crying that she couldn't be Sailor Moon anymore, she didn't want to have to save the world blah blah blah, so Mars slapped her and told her to get her shit together. I'm paraphrasing of course LOL It sucks that whoever edits for the US version thinks kids can't handle a slap but they can handle people blowing up. Makes so much sense [/sarcasm]

I loved "You can't do that on Television" and Fifteen, I think it was named something else in Canada. It was a teen soap, much like the old Swan's Crossing (not on Nick) back in the day. These days Nick sucks.

You know I must say that I still think Nickelodeon is a quality network, the writing is far superior to that of the Disney Channel with the exception of A.N.T farm which amuses me deeply. At long last Winx club has finally arrived too.

I never watched Nickelodeon lol. The cartoons from my era were sooo much better lmfao. We had good stuff like Fraggle Rock, and the Smurfs ;)
I liked 80's cartoons better too and was She-Ra once as Halloween. The damn plastic mask was hot and muggy as hell though.

Nick had a few cartoons I enjoyed like Doug, David the Gnome, Noozles, Rugrats, The Ren & Stimpy Show and Rocco's Modern Life.

Anyone else remember this show that I loved called Today's Special?

loved all the 80s show, remember strawberryshortcake, carebears, rainbow brite,he-man,woodywoodpecker,tom&jerry etc. love old school cartoons they need to make a channel for these,
ohh yay smurfs ,fraggle rock

LoL, I totally missed this.

The youth today missed out on some fucking AMAZING cartoons. Rocko's Modern Life, Doug, Sailor Moon (it was pretty brilliant)
Sailor Moon's not Nick but you know the creator announced there's going to be a new Sailor Moon series in 2013? She's making so it premieres all over the world at the same time. It's aimed at fans of the original cartoon who are adults now so I'm excited! Sailor Mars was my favorite, with Pluto as a distant second.

But I agree today's youth missed out on some amazing cartoons. My sister and I make fun of our youngest sister because she's watching complete crap on TV, in our opinion. Between Rugrats, Doug, Clarissa, My Brother & Me, Land of the Lost, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Alex Mack, Global Guts, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, Wild & Crazy Kids, All That. Just thinking about it makes me wish I could go back.
