Grey's Anatomy was ROBBED in the Drama Series category. They should have gotten in over Lost, which had a crappy year. Very happy to see Toni Collette get a nomination, but I wish United States of Tara had gotten one for Comedy Series. Also love that Sarah Silverman finally got a nomination, as well. |

No True Blood? How disappointing, LoL. That isn't really an "Emmy" show though, so whatever. Kudos to Michael C. Hall! Perhaps he'll actually win this year. |

I've given up on that ever happening. Between his work on Six Feet Under and Dexter, it's a travesty that he has nothing to show for it. |

Michael C. Hall is fantastic and deserves an emmy, but every year he has incredibly tough competition..I'm just glad he continues to be recognized for his fantastic work..Also I wanted to add that I'm stoked that Jimmy Smitts got a nod for guest actor..But i wonder why he wasn't in the supporting actor category, as he was on pretty much the entire season.. |

I really hope Justin Timberlake wins for the stuff he does on SNL. He is one of the best hosts and then the cameo stuff he does is funny too. |

Justin Timberlake's nomination is a pleasant surprise..Hopefully it will get some of the big actors to step up their game for SNL, as it can now result in an emmy nomination.. |

I think all the women in the Outstanding Lead Actress Drama Series category could win, all are so good. I am disappointed that Denis Leary never seems to get recognized for his work on Rescue Me. Edited by Kirk, Jul 16 2009, 03:18 PM.

I'm all for a MCH win this year. He definitely deserves it. True Blood was nominated last year in several categories w/ Anna P. taking home a win. The reason it wasn't nominated this year was b/c of timing. The first season was up for last years awards and this new season falls just short of elig. for this years awards. I wouldn't be suprised to see noms for next year! |

Doh, you're right! I don't know what I was smokin' earlier, lol. :joint: I thought about it as soon as I logged of too. I was like, wait, True Blood had just started when the Emmy's were going on last year, lol! Sorry about that Kenny. True Blood should have def. gotten some noms. |

Gald to see How I met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory get some love. I am so torn on Betty White and Christine Baranski for guest actress. I just have one big WTF? Where is Bernadette Peters as guest actress for Greys! Her performance was heartbreaking. Edited by Rick, Jul 17 2009, 01:02 AM.

This was The Shield's last year, and what did it get? Nothing. Not a nomination for best drama, not a nomination for Chiklis as Vic Mackey, not a supporting nom for Walton Goggins for Shane Vendrell. Nothing. Are they seriously telling me that The Mentalist dude has done anything even near the level of the confession scene with Chiklis' Vic Mackey? It's a fucking joke. The sheer amount of nominations that 30 Rock got is fucking ridiculous. It's not a bad show, but it's not THAT good. Two big lulz from me @ 1) Family Guy being nominated for Best Comedy Series. 2) Amy Poehler being nominated for anything, especially her "various characters" on SNL. Jenna Fischer got robbed. tl;dr - The Emmys are a huge load of bullshit. I hope 30 Rock gets snubbed across the board. Edited by Shylock, Jul 17 2009, 11:50 AM.

I have watched one or two episodes of 30 Rock and didn't think it was that great. I don't get it. I also think with all the hype it gets makes me turn away more and not even want to try it again. |
