The one thing I feel with the addition of Lindsay Hartley and Crystal Chappel returning, is that Days will finally have a more powerful cast of stars..I haven't been watching, but what's up with Nick Stabile? Is he on the show? What's his character?
He's in the credits this week, actually in the contract section. He's listed as Dean Hartman. He was the man that gave the candy to Ciara and has been circling Hope's picture in the magazines. Since John Aniston wasn't on this week, it's hard to be certain that he's on contract, but since his name came right after Casey Deidrick and before all the other guests (Maxine, Chris, etc...) it looks like he'll be on contract. I'm waiting to see if Aniston is listed next week, then we can be certain he is on contract.
I apologize if I come out a bit ignorant .... but how does the fact that Aniston is listed [or isn't..] relates to whether or not Stablie is on contract ?

John Aniston is recurring, and his name usually starts the list of recurring actors, since he debuted back in 1985. Anyone whose name is before his is on contract, since "Days" lists their actors in order of seniority, by the date they signed a contract. Then comes the recurring guests. Susan & Bill Hayes also recur, but aren't on too much. They appear first in the recurring list (before Aniston) the weeks they are on, since they debuted back in 1968 and 1970 respectively. But for most weeks, Aniston is the break between contract and non-contract actors.

the show is anything or gonna be anything like Passions!
You don't think that this whole storyline with Kate and her poison apples was classic Passions???? It reeked of it and the fact that everyone was walking around like a bunch of fools when it was quite obvious who was poisoning Chloe was another Passion's move. THANK YOU!! :applause: Three Passions characters (Rafe being identical to Luis), and with Arianna (Lindsay) as his sister, the poison apple (aka Snow White) storyline. Bo has visions... Days is OVER!
They don't care about their long-time viewers anymore. That much is clear. They are banking on the influx of Passions and Guiding Light fans (with the introduction of Carly) to make up for those of us that leave.

I agree about the repetitive scenes of them bumping into each other. I know it was chemistry testing and they wanted to progress slowly just to be sure but I really wish they had handled all that differently.
The thing that has to be noted here is that the show is taping well in advance. I believe they are likely taping episodes that will air around early September and the Brady/Arianna romance is just now getting a bit more heated so what they are taping now must feature Brady/Arianna in a full fledged romance, I would think. My guess is with that being the case, the show finally realized it just wasn't working with them together in scenes and that the romantic chemistry was not there so they made the change. I'm interested in seeing FT's final scenes and LH's first scenes because I'm wondering what may have been the straw that broke the camel's back and made them realize there had to be a change. So is it a general consensus that people didn't like Arianna and Brady/Arianna? Like I said I liked her but I didn't like the idea of those two together which I recognize made me biased when it comes to the chemistry part, people generally didn't think they had chemistry? I thought the mechanics of the kiss was good but really I was only looking at Brady and that man can kiss.

I've seen more fans for them as individual characters though.
I just think for the bulk of fans they weren't working out romantically. The sad part is the show seems to not grasp the fact that alot of the issues people have with them came from the way they started their interaction with each other. It's all been so forced. Perhaps if they handled the initial chemistry testing scenes differently, maybe things would've been different.

Well Im not familiar with her, But I could not connect at all with FT as Arianna, I dont think she ever once changed her tone or expressions. So hopefully this will be a good move and I will see more of a connection between her and *anyone*.

I think both of the Hernandez siblings are suffering from not only being type B personalities, but they both sort of randomly appeared and were just shoved into scenes. I was open to a brianna relationship, and but wasn't 100% sold on them yet.

^Thanks for that, six. I will have to pay attention to that producer's page now since it seems she posts interesting facts and seems to hint at upcoming things.
I think some of us from DR should go over there and tell her to start producing better and longer promos LOL. No problem. I see you got an answer from her...assuming you're PRising over there. :)

If all the Passions actors were so good Passions would still be on the air.
So not true. . .If Passions were WRITTEN and PRODUCED better, it would still be on the air. They had some decent actors on the show, but the writing was crap and over the top.

I don't know anything about this Hartley woman, and I never really watched Passions, other than the witch woman and the baby with the bubbles thoughts, but I find it tacky and stupid to fire some decent people and not write for some current characters, then hire three of the same actors from a failed soap and put them in the same relationship as they were on the failed soap.
If I wanted to watch Passions, I would have watched it. I guess this is great for Passions fans, but I think it is ridiculous for Days. You know, Alligato, you and I may not always see eye to eye on Days, but on this.............your on the money, my friend!! I couldn't have said it better myself.

Exactly, good and no so good shows get cancelled all the time for any number of reasons, doesn't mean the actors were bad and that they should never be allowed to work again.

Right look at GL.They have some of the best actors on there and it didn't prevent them from being cancelled.Theres also AW and SB who also had terrfic actors.

It's good that people from the show are making use of the internet to reach fans, especially in the days of DVR and people watching online and missing all the commercials.

I agree its not the actors that get a show canned, its the writing. That said, the writing for Days seems to be rehashing Passions lpots and characters, which doesn't bode well for the future of Days.Even an SOD editor in their Hit or Miss pointed out how the character of kate is way over the top and resembling a Passions character. You can't save a show that sucks, and for the most part,Days sucks

Haven't read all (16 pages!) of responses, but how funny that she's Rafe's sister and Brady's love interest - just as she was the sister and love interest of the same actors on Passions.
I do like her, and I might actually tune in to watch some of her scenes.
I'm wondering how many Passions fans this will bring over to watch Ethan & Theresa Part II.
