Soap Opera Digest has learned that ABC has just released a casting call for the role of Sam McCall, which has been played by Kelly Monaco since 2003. She is described as "early 30s, female, Caucasian, brunette, sexy, dynamic and fiery...SERIES REGULAR. This is a character who has been established on the show." An ABC spokesperson had no comment.

Just let Sam McCall die in one of your big sweeps events or leave town. That said, any chance this is a recast of Claudia and not Sam?

She fits well into Alexis' life and I also enjoy her as Jason's girlfriend. I'd be very sad to see the role recast because her likability (against so much bad writing) is thanks to Monaco's acting

My only question is why would they recast? The character is horribly written and needs to go anyways. She really has no ties to the show so let them finally cut their losses with Claudia.

I much prefer her brother lmao. You know its weird I never thought I would accept anyone besides Sarah Brown playing Carly... and now I can't even picture her playing the part of Carly.
