The Suds Report has exclusively learned that that a coup d’etat — helmed by the major veterans of the soap — is in the works.
I go years without hearing the term "coup d'etat" and now all of a sudden it's everywhere, LoL.

It wouldn't surprise me if Frons cancels OLTL, the best ABC soap, first. He's not exactly known for being a good judge of quality - or a good anything.

But, it's weird. As much as I don't want to see OLTL cancelled next year, I would be strangely at peace with it. At least it would go out on a relatively high note, versus so many soaps that just limp on to their deaths (i.e. GL, soon ATWT, etc...).

Of course, this is all really trivial, since all soaps will be gone in a matter of years, anyway.

Oh, that wouldn't surprise me at ALL. I'm sure that's their plan. I think the fact that OLTL was sort of left behind in NY should have them very worried.

The AMC stars need to realize that they don't stand a chance..If Days can survive without John and Marlena...AMC can survive without Kendal, Adam, and possibly even Erica. Plus AMC would save a fortune..

I wouldn't say that Days has survived yet, though. They're getting low ratings and flooding the show with 91 vets in order to try to get the ratings up and get it renewed.

"—Which head writer is painfully sensitive when people criticize his stories?"
I hope that's Chuck Pratt.
The idea of him hearing complaints/reading message boards and being emotionally crushed appeals to me.

I like that idea too! Interesting that KSJ mentions SHEFFER but not MAB! I still think she's being steamrolled by Rauch and Hoagie! The "iconic leading lady" who was close to being outed as a lesbian? Stephanie Forrester!

All that says to me is that KSJ is too much of a coward to criticize the person who can fire his ass, so he goes after someone who really can't do anything to him.

RIP GL

—Which Emmy-winning diva refuses to congratulate her co-star on her historic nomination?

Susan Lucci

—Which iconic daytime character was about to revealed to be a lesbian but the network nixed the idea? Too bad — it would have made A LOT of sense!

Stephanie Forrester

—Which head writer is painfully sensitive when people criticize his stories?

Guza.

# 3 is Bradley Bell. Jean Passanante is another one too...

Frons has always regarded OLTL as the red-headed stepchild.
