I like Liam and Ivy. I think he'd be better with Annie, and I'm still hopeful that they'll get together in the future, for real this time.

I love Teddy and Silver. I love how the writers write Teddy. He comes off as this arrogant bastard, but we slowly start to see these likable qualities in him that make us like him. I thought everything he did to raise Jackie's spirits and then help her celebrate all of the birthdays she missed with Silver was really sweet. That ending made me so sad. :'( I wonder if Jackie really died though because they showed nothing in the previews for next week about this story. If Silver's mom died, and they ended it with that scene, you would think they would show Silver being comforted by Kelly and her friends in the previews for next week, which would deal with the fallout of Jackie's death. That makes me think she didn't actually die and is saved next week.

Jasper creeps me out, but I guess he's supposed to. I'm just ready for him to go all psycho, probably die, and then Annie can be free for Liam. :cheer:

I'm really not interested in Navid, Adrianna or her drug problems.

OMG I love Jasper, he reminds me of Christian Slater in Heathers.

I'm digging on Ivy and Liam too. I wanted him with Annie until I saw Ivy.

I'm addicted to this show. This season is so much better than last season.

It's a week or so old article but a good read....

90210 Kills Off An Original Cast Member

90210 executive producer Rebecca Rand Kirshner has decided to kill off one of the original Beverly Hills, 90210 players. On the November 17 episode of the CW drama, Kelly and Silver’s alcoholic mother, Jackie Taylor (Ann Gillespie) will succumb to breast cancer. Jessica Stroup spilled all on the storyline shocker that will unravel over the coming weeks.

So, brave move here killing off an original 90210-er, eh?
I know. I know. We shot it about a month ago and it was really kind of sad having to say goodbye to Ann for the last time. She was like my second mother. You know she’s an ordained minister in Virginia. It was a pleasure to work with her. The reason my character was created on the original series was because Ann got pregnant and they wrote in her pregnancy. So I’m grateful to her and I think we’ll keep in touch.

So how did Ann feel about killing off the character she first started playing back in 1990?
It’s never nice to learn that you’re character’s dead, but I think she was actually kind of happy to find some resolution. And she pushed for the storyline to be treated with respect and dignity so those who are going through breast cancer can relate.

You also get the word out about breast cancer awareness, don’t you?
There’s a lot of mentions of Ford Warriors in Pink which is a charity with proceeds going to Susan G. Komen For the Cure. I did a public service announcement. This is a beautiful project, with T-shirts designed especially for teens.

Has cancer touched your family?
I have lost a couple people from it. People starting in their teens should be aware. I used to go to tanning beds, and now I realize how easily we can get cancer. You need to know your body and take care of yourself. I get checked for breast cancer twice a year and do self-exams.

Jackie was painted last season as a horrible lush. How is she redeemed before she says goodbye to her daughters?
At this point, Silver wants to not trust her, but when she realizes it’s coming to the end, Silver tries to build a relationship. She moves in with her. Her mom actually recreates all the birthdays and special moments that she missed because of her alcoholism. It’s really sweet, with Silver being the parent.

And how does Jennie Garth’s Kelly figure in?
Kelly’s had more time being let down by Jackie and has built up more resentment and hatred. She has given up on reconciliation and doesn’t want to deal with her mom’s condition. But in the hospital, Kelly walks into an empty hospital room and thinks she’s lot her chance to say goodbye. This wakes her up and makes her realize she has to say goodbye.

How did Jennie feel about killing off this original character who has so much history?
(Laughs) I think it was kind of strange for her because it was ten years of their lives they spent together (on the original series). But it’s been taken with such caution, that I think Jennie in the end was happy with it.

What was it like shooting Jackie’s death scene?
For me it was kind of hard because I never get to see my own mom, because she lives on the east coast. I realized how short life is and how quickly you can go, so I shed a lot of real tears. When Jackie actually passes away in the hospital, Jennie and I are on either side of her. Jennie leaned over at one point and grabbed my hand, and that was it for me. Jennie was definitely crying too. It was very emotional for us all.

Is there any mention of Silver and David’s father, Mel, who is divorced from Jackie?

No there’s not, and I’d like to know where he is as well. He’s a bad man who we’ve given up on.

Is there a big funeral with all the other original 90210 kids and parents?
We come from a funeral, but we didn’t actually shoot at the gravesite. We kept it simple and honest.

How will this loss impact Silver?
I think it makes her stronger. She’s been through so much with her mother that’s already made her independent and strong-willed, but this will show new sides of her character. She’s becoming more of a whole person with this closure. It’s a huge growing point for her. And she and Kelly have bonded through this loss.

Anything more chipper we can look forward to in Silver’s life?

Teddy will be able to relate to her because we’ll find out that he’s gone through something similar in his own life. He’ll be there for her, and a little spark happens between them that’s sort of out of the blue. And we learn Dixon goes to the funeral. This will bring them back together when he comes to her. He’ll realize that maybe he misses her as more than just a friend. So ‘Sixon’ may not be done!

At first, I was really pissed off when I read that they were going to kill Jackie off. But after this past week's episode, I actually think it might end up being a good decision (not that I won't miss Jackie).

And I had no idea that Jackie got pregnant with Erin because AG was pregnant in real life at the time! I always just assumed that was the plan from the beginning.

Me neither! I was blown away by that remark, I thought it was Ann wearing a pillow.

This was, by far, my favorite episode of the season, so far.

So sad about Jackie's death. :(

Something I've been wondering for a while now, do the writers even remember that Kelly has a kid? I can't even remember the last time we've seen him, or even just heard about him.

I feel like Ryan serves no purpose on this show anymore. His scenes always seem so disconnected from the rest of the show.

Totally did not see that ending with Navid coming.

I wish I could care that Naomi is FINALLY going to learn that Jen slept with Liam, but after dragging it out so long, I just don't.

Yeah, where IS Kelly's kid?

I like the show, but I still feel like something's missing. I don't care about the characters as much on this show vs. Gossip Girl...It's like I'm watching, but I'm not 100% invested...more just watching because.

90210 Goes Star-Gazing

90210 is looking for a movie star but, let's face it, will probably have to settle for a sitcom star from the 80's. The CW's second-time-around soap is finally introducing Teddy's (Trevor Donovan) dad, Spence Montgomery, a major film star in his 50's who is (no surprise here) very charismatic. He'll work for at least four episodes and the series is looking to cast only someone who is well known. I'm thinking Pat Sajak....

They show is also looking to bring in a famous pop star named Jonah, who'll romance one of the series regulars for at least three episodes. He's supposed to be African American or Latin— and has to be a good singer. Could Peach Pit After Dark be reopening?

I sincerely hope that Naomi and Annie don't end up becoming friends again. Those two should never be friends.

Also, I feel like Naomi is taking Liam back too easily. She just learned that he slept with her sister, and (whether he knew it or not at the time) that's a lot worse than sleeping with Annie.

Right, Liam still did sleep with someone else... I don't care that he was manipulated, he still did it. I think they waited too long to resolve it though, so personally I stopped caring. I like Naomi and Liam, and was glad they finally got back together.

How did Jasper know Annie ran over his uncle???

I think he had a hunch, especially how she got so emotional over it when she first met him. The face she made when he confronted her was priceless.

I really want a Silver-Teddy hookup! What would they be called, Steddy? Dammit Dixon.

When Dixon refered to himself as "Dix" in the kitchen talking to his mother, I totally lost it. I wonder how many times they broke out laughing. So silly.

This show may only mildly hold my attention but I'm sucked in for sure. Can't wait for it to come back.

I can't believe the last new episode was on December 8, 2009 and the next new one won't be until March 9th.... :shame:

Melrose Is Back!

It's ridiculous. It feels like FOREVER since I've seen an episode. I really think the CW is stupid as hell for keeping new episodes off the air for so long. If my DVR wasn't set to record all new episodes I'd probably forget when it does return.

Melrose Is Back!

90210 was renewed for a third season. MP's future is up in the air but sadly I think it's DOA.

I'm just curious to see how they'll write out Rob Estes (Harry). I'm sure he dies. I can't see him and Kelly leaving town together or hooking up.

Preview for the March 9th return:
Naomi returns from her vacation in St. Bart’s excited to spend time with Liam, which leads to the two getting up close and personal in his newly built boat. Adrianna and Gia bond during an AA meeting and establish a support system for each other which leads to the two sharing a kiss at the Beach Club. Navid and Dixon devise a plan to eliminate Jasper from Annie’s life, but never anticipate the outcome of a school drug search. Dixon attempts to rekindle his relationship with Silver, while Silver hides her true feelings for Teddy. Harry and Debbie run into Kelly while attending a school function and Debbie confronts Kelly about having a crush on Harry.
