For this week's special We Love Soaps video podcast, Damon L. Jacobs and I traveled to Venice Beach, future setting for Crystal Chappell's highly anticipated new web series, to discuss the events of Daytime Emmy weekend. We Love Soaps brings you footage from the red carpet at the Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday and the Daytime Emmys at the Orpheum on Sunday. Actors appearing on the show include all the Emmy winners (from backstage in the press room), as well as Van Hansis, Eden Riegel, Elizabeth Hendrickson, Colleen Zenk Pinter, Daniel Goddard, Melissa Claire Egan, Stacy Haiduk (and Kitty), Kim Zimmer and more. While in Venice, we asked the locals if they watched the Daytime Emmy telecast or soaps in general and received some interesting responses. http://www.welovesoaps.net/2009/09/we-love-soaps-daytime-emmy-wrap-up-from.html We broke the Tom Pelphrey news on Sunday from the red carpet. I'll put his entire interview and all the others online as soon as I can. |

Thanks, Kenny. We plan on doing more "on the street" videos as well here in NYC. If anyone has any funny (or serious) ideas, let me know. Just posted Bradford Anderson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VeVrKWxNzk |

The fabulous and amazing Suzanne Rogers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UmN7rbwz4w (she mentions an upcoming spoiler about Kate in a vague way but wanted to warn folks - it's not anything specific but just in case anyone is totally spoiler free). LOVE HER! |

We sort of went all fanboy with Suzanne but I think she is a treasure and I wanted to make sure she knew how appreciated she is. I'm doing these in random order. There are dozens and not sure how many we'll really publish yet. Here is Tamara Braun in the press room after her win: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_lM-p-FZQQ Edited by RogerNewcomb, Sep 2 2009, 01:43 PM.

Um, how could you not. The woman doesn't get enough praise anyway. The fanboy-ness was well accepted by me. I would have done the same damn thing LOL |

She made me want to go dancing with her. And I either didn't know or forgot they were considering a Maggie and Mickey spinoff. James Reynolds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YhpXV2LA68 |

You guys did well and are continuing to impress me. You handle yourselves with class and in inteviews tend to ask the right questions. I won't name names, but another soap site *cough*DAYTIMECONFIDENTIAL*cough* are leaving me scratching my head. I was listening to their Emmy podcast and all of the pundits were so uneducated about the Emmys and it's a soap site! People were screaming that Alicia Minshew was robbed and we know that isn't possible with her Emmy reel. It was just vulgar and not even in a well written Nelson Branco way. I feel like I can come to WeLoveSoaps for a fairly unbiased take on things and a great diversity in material. The Vodcast was very enjoyable and I wouldn't mind seeing more here and there in the future. I prefer the format of a Podcast for a more regular feature. But for interviews like the in person one with Tina Sloan, it might be better to house it within a Vodcast. |

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. It was a whirlwind few days. Damon and I also taped an episode of Imaginary Bitches before the Creatives so look for that soon. |
