Melrose Is Back!

Anyone watching?

A few minutes in and I like it.

For some reason, I don't know if I see it doing well. Probably another good ABC quirky show that's canned.

Like Cougar Town, I'll have to watch this one online later, too. Definitely planning to watch it, though!

I'm watching it. Not sure what I think of it yet though. Nice to see Ashley Benson and I'm not sure what to think of the slimmed down Sara Rue even though she's gone back to the red hair.

Sara Rue and Ashley Benson LOVE!

It started off decent but the bonding scenes, it just seems so rushed like they're forcing these women together. It's very contrived, IMO. The dialogue is definitely campy.

The cast is good but the writing is just too contrived. I get they have to set up the entire show but I dunno.

I know Kenny mentioned earlier that it wasn't getting good reviews, but unless the pilot is just horrid, I hope they give it a chance.(because that happens oh so often these days, :eyeroll: )

Not that I need anymore shows to watch though, lol!

^^^Word, I don't need any more shows LoL. Right now it's just background notice here, but since I'm still at my computer it means that I'm not engaged.

Ya... I think I'm going to dislike this. Just from the sound of it.

Paul Gross the guy playing Darryl is cute and if they ever tried another Dark Shadows remake for TV he'd make a good Barnabas. After looking him up I found out he's the guy from a show in the mid 90's called Due South.

It started out good, but by the end of the hour I was almost asleep.

Contrived setups, awkward dialogue and bad acting in parts. It was nice seeing Ashley Benson though.

I'll probably watch next week to see if it improves. Maybe once the initial setup is over, things will flow more sensibly. The show has alot of potential and I love the "look" of it, but so far it sucks.

It's horrible and unimaginative. Whether it succeeds or fails, I won't be watching. I really wish Rebecca Romjin doesn't return to Ugly Betty tho...

The look of the show was the only thing going for it. Who doesn't love the movie or the book, but this just wasn't the same. It was as if they tried to put everything from the movie into the pilot. I'm willing to give it another two or three episodes, but I can't afford to stick with it just b/c on paper, it sounds like something I would like.

I did like the nod to the movie with Veronica Cartwright.

Well, I liked it. It definitely seemed like they tried to cram too much into the pilot, and don't even get me started on how contrived it was that the women became such good friends in just the first ten minutes, but overall, I was entertained. I'll keep watching.

Sara Rue =

Have you ever seen Gypsy 83? I always think of you when I watch it b/c of the whole Stevie Nicks love. I think Sara looks better than when she first lost all the weight. She looked ill, but I thought she looked good last night.
