Jillian Michaels said that I was trying to find the quote, but I was sure that VM said it. Maybe I mis-read but every other message board indicates that it was her words/she implied it. The last time she returned, she brought a million viewers back to GH with her. No other return this decade in soaps has been that successful. When she left, those viewers she brought back left with her.

Besides for me she was the only pairing that I have ever liked Sonny in. I haven't cared for the character since.

What was going on with GH at that time? Btw, I found this from Soap Central: Adding to the hype of Franco's addition to the GH cast is a tweet claiming that Emmy-winning former General Hospital star Vanessa Marcil (Brenda Barrett) "would consider going back [to General Hospital] to work with him." Anyways, the whole thing just left me cold. I guess it's not VM own words, but still implied that's where her intentions are.

Like she's not willing to come back to act with Maurice Bernard or Steve Burton or anyone but heck if James Franco comes on that's a different story.

Enough with the James Franco fawning already. How the heck is he slumming it? I know soaps aren't what they used to be, but are soap fans really that jaded(yet here we get riled up when the Emmy's can't put on a decent telecast, or the mags don't acknowledge daytime as part of television.) If so, I say just cancel all the soaps and set these poor stars free. I like James Franco, and I'll admit it is surreal (that's the word I'd use) because it doesn't usually happen. But to say that, "an actor of his caliber" and the excessive praise pretty much humiliates these daytime actors whom have been working their asses off for years. I understand respecting the actor and wanting to work with him because you appreciate his "craft," but just to work with him for exploitation is pretty stupid.
