On the cover: 'One Life to Life's Robert S. Woods & Jensen Buchanan (Bo & Sarah)

Late Breaking News
On DAYS, Adrienne faces life as an independant woman, following her legal separation from Justin... Nick's life-threatening condition worsens as he tries to keep the news from April... Shane & Rebecca are on the run after murdering her husband, but new danger traps them... With Cal's help, Kimberly is hot on Shane's trail, but Ms. Donovan finds something very unexpected indeed!

OLTL's baby-switch trial reaches a feverish pitch at the end of the month, and Gabrielle's rather flimsy plea of temporary insanity could start to crumble when DA Herb Callison makes a sensational announcement. A surprise witness (you'll never guess who!) is en route to Llanview to take the stand against glamorous Gab.

On AW, Evan's obsession with Amanda leads him to more and more manipulation... and Derek and Stacey become increasingly desperate in their pursuit of the Red Swan.

Peter Bergman out as AMC's Cliff and in as Y&R's new Jack!

On October 5, Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) was given an unplanned, open-ended leave of absence from DAYS due to her troubled real-life pregnancy. The actress, who's expecting her second child early next year, has been suffering from non-stop morning sickness, compounded by fatigue and headaches. At press time, DAYS was hopeful that she'd be able to return to the show after a week or two of complete rest, but her hiatus might be extended if her medical condition warrents it. In the interim, pinch-hitter Rhonda Aldrich has taken over as Kayla.

When OLTL's Bo and Sarah start planning their November wedding, another branch of the Buchanan family heads for dire romantic straits -- namely Bo's brother Clint and his wife Viki. With her former lover Roger still hovering on the scene, a series of foolish misunderstandings are sure to cause a whole lot of heartbreak for Llanview's leading heroine.

On LOVING, it's pills, chills, and ills all the way around. Will Ava go to pieces when her mom Kate faces a life-threatening ailment shortly? How long can Jeff hide the fact that his paralysis is now just a ruse to manipulate Trisha's sympathy? And how far will Clay go to wrest control of Alden Enterprises away from his father Cabot? (He's already checking out medications that induce senility.)

On GH, Lucy's secret admirer, Victor Jerome, has an incredible surprise in store -- one that will truly leave Lucy in the lurch. As a result, she and Alan will be forced to become partners in crime and -- you guessed it -- bedroom buddies as well. Next month, Lucy's schedule will be extremely crowded as she tries to juggle pillow appointments with both Scotty and Alan.

Now that ATWT's Paul has been indicted for the murder of his dad, the notorious James Stenbeck, Paul and Emily's big secret (that they slept together) is bound to come out. Expect the bombshell in November.

On GENERATIONS, Friday, November 3 marks the wedding day of Jason and Monique, but don't expect the splashy affair to go off without a hitch. According to Executive Producer Sally Sussman, the shocking murder of a major character will be announced shortly after the wedding, setting in motion a dynamic story line, involving Rob, Jessica, and Jason, which will carry the show through November. The murder mystery will also allow Sussman to introduce an important new character -- a quirky young homicide detective named Kyle Masters. Will he be the next man in Sam's life?
