Here's Monday's epi online.

The beginning part is kind of cut off. Not sure if anything else was left out.

Yep, Daisy. That is a heavily mulleted Peter Reckell as Bo.

What's with Sami wearing scarfs all the time lately? And Nicole had one too I think. I guess that must be the wardrobe monster's newest thing. And while I'm on the subject of appearances. Will needs a haircut. And I hope Nicole grows her hair out while AZ is on maternity leave and we're spared from that disastrous Little Lord Fauntelroy look they gave her recently.

For some reason Rafe and Arianna both annoyed me less than they do usually. Hopefully that means they are improving and not just that I am being more charitable than usual having had that nice break from the Rafe character recently. Anyway I noticed Rafe mentioned Mia McCormick. Has Mia's last name been McCormick this whole time? For some reason I was thinking it was something else. Wonder why they brought it up now unless they're going to tie her to someone else? Oh and if it wasn’t clear before, boy does it look like Arianna killed Meredith’s sister. Also, I kind of wish Rafe was a bit less blasé when Arianna pointed out that if Rafe’s suspicions are confirmed then they’ll have to tell Mia her kid died. It was just kind of like oh well… not really sympathy at all and not even any acknowledgement that regardless of Mia birthing her baby that the baby was sort of HIS kid in that he helped care for in WPP and provided a middle name for is still gone even if he finds this other baby for Sami. I don’t know if GG was just going for trying to appear strong while he’s really hurting inside there, but whatever it was just wasn’t working for this viewer and looked like he didn’t care at all.

Love Kate prying into Nicole's business. It's too bad they couldn't have wrapped on the Danloe saga earlier so that Kate could have been living in the DiMansion with Nicole and seen the fur fly between them earlier. And God I hate Nicole and want to see someone, anyone rough her up and wipe that smug delusional smile off her face. It’s definitely a credit to the writers and AZ that I hate her this much but don’t want her off the show. But still I hate her manipulating dumbass Mia into doing her dirty work and turning her life upside down to save her ass after Nicole took her infant and then threw her away in the swap only to let her die without giving Mia the chance to properly grieve her dead baby. Of course, it’s my hatred of her that allows me to understand and forgive EJ for being so stubborn and dumb in not fighting to keep Sydney in his life. I don’t agree with his hard-hearted stance but I totally get it and sympathize with him as he tries to shut her out of her life when he sees Nicole so shamelessly exploiting Sydney to weasel her way back into EJ’s heart every damn second. Even if it deprives Sydney of his love and support, I can get the sentiment of pushing her away with Nicole in not wanting to feel like he is rewarding Nicole for her duplicity by forgiving it and moving on as if nothing happened. James really sold me today on the idea that the reason he is shutting Sydney out of fear and vulnerability and not callousness. Both he and AZ did really well in their scene.

Also, on the subject of EJ… while I have no interest in an EJate redux, I am kind of annoyed how Kate and EJ’s history has like sort of evaporated entirely even while they share scenes together. I mean aside from the security cam porno directed by John Black there was their whole history as business associates at Mythic and friends/confidants before their relationship totally fractured with all the drama with Lucas and EJ over Sami. Now it’s like… they’re not best friends or enemies, but it’s as if EJ is thinking “oh haha this golddigger has married my dad and I don’t really care even though this woman I slept with and whose son tried to kill me is living in my house and could walk away with my inheritance. “

WTF at Sami being Chad's confidant after the way she was exposed as totally playing him? If they're going to have her doing shit like this can't they make it a little more sensical by saying she's taking classes to be a therapist or something or volunteering at some sort of youth center rather than just having her son's biggest enemy showing up at her house (how does he even know where she lives?). If they were to go to the therapist/counselor angle then that would give her a career and could be a nice homage to her mother, Marlena, as well. Just the same though, was very impressed yet again by Casey Diedrick. Is it weird that I kind of feel bad for the kid playing Will now? I mean when he came on the character had so much potential (as did the actor IMO) but now he's just so lost with nothing to do besides just alternating between being the shoulder to cry on for his lady friend during her time of trouble and browbeating her when he discovers the latest lie of hers to unravel before he takes her back and starts the cycle over again. I mean yeah they've written Lucas like that the last few years but at least when he was a teen/young adult they had the decency to give him more fire and spunk.

Finally, where the hell is my VIVIAN dammit?!?!

No shit.

Vivian isn't in today's U.S. episode and she isn't in today's Canadian episode either. Such a disappointment. It irks me when the writers give us a great Friday cliffhanger (because let's face it -- Vivian was the jaw-dropping moment, not Rafe/Arianna) and then they don't follow up on it in the next episode. I mean, who the hell brings back a big character on Friday and then doesn't have them on the following Monday or Tuesday episodes?

IMiss--

yes Mia's last name has been McCormick the whole time and has been mentioned several times in the last few months. Recently Stefano made a comment about Mia's ability to lie, "it's in her genes"...I'm not sure if he mentioned her mother or just the genetic capacity to lie.

Also, they've alluded to EJate's history together. They haven't spelled it out for the audience but someone (i forgot who, maybe Lexie) was mortified (well, not that strongly) about Stefano hooking up with Kate in spite of Kate's history with EJ. EJ and Kate also have had a conversation where he put Kate on notice if she tries anything to hurt his father.

i don't get why ej buys nicole's 'me and sydney are a package deal' BS. he's a lawyer for goodness' sake. he could fight for sydney legally and honestly--alone, and without nicole, who has no prayer of gaining custody--whether chad was or wasn't the father. he has a great shot at getting sole custody if the DNA tests prove chad isn't the father, which we all know they will. so why isn't he fighting for this kid? because he's mad he was duped? because he doesn't think she's a real dimera? sounds like pretty selfish reasoning to me.

I remember Sami telling EJ at the hospital that he was mad because Nicole outsmarted him. Now, that was Sami's opinion, but I think it sure plays a part here.

I agree - this bugs the shit out of me. I agree that it seems out of character for EJ to just roll over on this - particularly with Nicole continuing to try to manipulate him using Sydney as bait. Typically EJ would be all over the opportunity to prove her wrong on that. He didn't care about biology when it came to Allie being Lucas's daughter - I don't see why it would matter to him that Sydney is not a DiMera. Duped or not - it makes no sense for EJ to turn away from Sydney. It's just another classic example of plot point writing.

I'm pissed too. You can't tease me with Vivian on Friday and then wait until mid-way through the next week to give me more of her!

Add me to this train of disappointment. I resent the alterations that transformed EJ from a devious, charming, unstoppable scoundrel to the moping, powerless, victim we have on our screen today. I get his desire to protect a father's rights, I get that he has been burned and I get that he wants to protect himself but I'm struggling with him sitting on the fence for weeks, actionless and pouty. Nicole has no way to secure herself as 'package' deal with Sydney. Do something about it. I'm surprised that he just accepted that Chad was Syd's bio-dad.

My biggest question is why didn't Stefano create some 'adoption papers' when he first learned of Nicole's scheming to insure that Sydney stayed with EJ? The Phoenix is slipping.
