It was a really stupid move on his part having Carly sleep in THEIR bed. It "being the safest room in the house" is such bullshit. Where do they have Ciarra sleep? On the roof?

I just watched tomorrow's episode on YouTube (courtesy of the hippie singer) and I can't decide if I like Louise Sorel's hair dark or not. When I first saw it in pictures, I didn't like it. But now that I've seen it in motion, I think it looks interesting on her. Somehow, it makes the character of Vivian seem darker... which is nice, because I don't want a caricature.

Anyway, I loved Louise's scenes! Clearly, the character of Vivian fits her like a glove. It's almost like she never left because she's just so natural in the role. Also, I like that Gus calls Vivian "madame." It makes me miss Ivan though.

It was not about that being the only room. Bo mentioned it was the safest. It was a bit forced but, for all we know, the other rooms may not be very accommodating. Ciara's bed may be a tad too small LOL and who knows if the other bedrooms have a bed for her. We don't know what Shawn, Chelsea, etc may have taken with them when they left.
I call bull as far as Bo's explanation about the room goes! He said it was the safest room. Why? Because it has several locks? Because it has a security system installed? No, none of those reason that could be taken as logical, although ridiculous. Instead, it's because it had shutters on the windows and it was upstairs. I'm sure the other bedrooms in the Brady house have shutters and are upstairs. They just needed a reason to create initial conflict between Carly and Hope from the beginning and this is DAYS so they can't take the subtle approach. They have to instantly have Hope learn there is a woman staying with Bo and then Hope finds said woman in her bed. F-O-R-C-E-D.

As for the other bedrooms in the house, I'm pretty sure Bo and Hope would have beds in those rooms given the amount of family that pops in and out of town and crashes at the house. It's lazy writing and that's that.

Of course it's bull....the same bull written by the same people that have Hope declaring there is no place for her to stay except at Victor's....cause Dad and Julie were going away; Maggie's house is too crowded?; Alice's house? Caroline's upstairs has accommodated many.

Either it is for "da Plot" or for the saving money because DAYS wants to use the same sets....

Not the most spectacular episode except for a few things that stood out today:

Oh shit, watch out for Brady when he gets angry!

Rafe's collection of DNA leaves a wide margin of error. How does he really know if that's syd's paci and not a playgroup one? How does he know if he has Sami's toothbrush and not Nicole's since she's staying there? Most likely it's theirs but still not very accurate.

Good for Nicole for stepping up for Mia to Sami. I understand why Sami flipped out and I really don't care for hysterical-mode Sami but I saw it as mommy looking out for baby Will. It appears Will is more upset that Mia lied and the slutty part is just the straw that broke the camel's back.

I can't help but be captivated by Stefano, I'm dying to see how he's going to change EJ's stance.

Justin's insertion into Hope's life-a married woman with marital problems-is annoying as it's trying to be passed off as innocent friendliness. The upside, tho, is seeing Bo get territorial and call him on it. Bo's not much better either, as soon as Carly unloaded her problems on his doorstep he should have taken her to the station right away. He KNOWS if Hope found out she would be pissed. It was a really stupid move on his part having Carly sleep in THEIR bed. It "being the safest room in the house" is such bullshit. Where do they have Ciarra sleep? On the roof? Ciarra's room SHOULD be safe enough for Carly and who cares if the bed's too small, she isn't too good for the floor if it's too uncomfortable.

ETA: Oh I forgot the BEST part! EJ's comment about his life being "reactive". That is one of my biggest complaints about the downplaying of EJ, EJ was always PROACTIVE not REACTIVE. On of my favorite quotes of his is about him not believing in fate, he's in control of his destiny.
I'm saying! I wonder why they chose to do it this way instead of doing it in a more concrete way. The margin of error seems too obvious.

Today's show was a load of horse shyte. Listening to Sami's wack-a-doodle bi-polar swing; ranting to Mia about keeping secrets and sleeping around, then coddling her and inviting her call on her for support anytime was just...... :drunk: EJ moping around some more in his Professor costume, Will playing a judgmental card and Rafe hiding behind a chair were all just bleech. I will say that I was distracted enough by the shine on Rafe's nasty pleather coat and the huge bump-it in Arianna's hair that I heard not a redundant word from their mouths. Carly in the safest room in the house and Bo busting Justin's balls at the Pub were almost entertaining but I won't even go that far. And they continue to destroy Hope in short blasts....ummm, Ciara is pissed at her for keeping her away from her dad, because she' keeping her from her dad!

Not even the super-cuteness of Sydney could save the day.

Does the writing team produce a week's worth of scripts that the interns then cut and paste to re-conceive two more weeks of material?

I didn't watch the whole episode but found clips of all the Hope/Carly/Justin/Bo and Vivian scenes from tomorrow's show on YouTube.

I can deal with Vivian no longer being a redhead but the styling of her hair bothers me. I'd rather she would've wore some sort of scarf/turban type thing over it with her housecoat rather than having it be all wet and stringy and short looking. It's just too crazy. But it still is pretty fantastic having her back. I'd rather Ivan was with her but I think this Gus guy is kind of cute.

Enjoyed the Carly-Hope showdown too although one thing that confused me was whether or not Hope ever was around during Lawrence's craziness or if she ever knew that he had raped Hope's BFF Jennifer. Even if Bo didn't talk about Carly for some reason I just felt like Hope should know who Lawrence was. Anyway... still loving BOTH Hope and Bo and not annoyed with either of them but loving Carly too. I just can't lose in this triangle.

But for the first time today I finally noticed the weird uncomfortable smiles that WK does sometimes that a lot of folks at DR have been commenting about already and it kind of bothered me. Something just feels off about Justin. I'm not sure what it is, but he's definitely the weak link in this quad. Maybe it's just that I have no nostalgic connection to either the character or the actor AND he's being written and played now as so vanilla and boring it feels like they could plug just about any character in Justin's spot and it wouldn't make a difference.

I personally don't mind it, I love when DAYS does the "house of crazy" (when we have a ton of people living in various mansions, namely the DiMera and Kiriakis ones, LOL). This always provides great story, loved it in the 90's, too!

i dont get all the hate towards mia i think this is a great character i think she is a softer side of a younger sami or maybe a younger belle with more of an edge, i hope she sticks around for a while.. so many people are all pissy about these new younger characters and saying bring back such and such...well this is days of our lives now! there was ages ago where the marlenas' and hopes
were just a teenager on the show..in the early 90's hope really sucked acting wise and storyline but look what she became! i think mia has great potential! i just wish they d have her be in her senior year (she is a junior right?) so next year we dont have her still in school.. either that or bring martha madison back as a school councelor !! lol

I watched Wednesday's show last night and I love the Justin/Hope/Bo/Carly story a lot. all four actors are a joy to watch. I look forward to more of this fun quad.

The showdown between Hope/Carly was great. KA/CC were rockin' it. I can't wait for more.

Still do not like Vivian. She just bores me.

And I still not seeing this suppose inappropriate smiling/evil grin or WTF ever that Wally is supposedly doing. But whatever... I have seen a lot worse quirks from other actors that are more offensive. And still NOT seeing any agenda or inappropriate behavior from Justin either. JMHO.

Bring on more WK/KA/PR/CC (Justin/Hope/Bo/Carly). This is the only interesting story on this show, a least for me.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
no, but if sami had marlena's brain, her advice session with chad would make more sense, as well as her total memory loss when it comes to the fact that she has also had problems knowing who the father of her children were.

really tho, that comment was more a dig at the writers for trying to make sami into salem's new heroine, a role that would have been better filled by belle. typically the heroines in storylines are clueless-they're always the very last to know that the villain has tricked them, and more often than not, a man has to come to their rescue. this sounds more and more like what sami's role in all of this will end up being--she's standing on the sidelines aghast as rafe swoops in to deliver sydney into her arms.
I agree. The writers are trying to make Sami into Salem's new heroine. I think they, IMO, have chosen to forget Sami's past and her misdeeds, etc.,for her to portray this new role. Everyone seems to be going to her for advice-- especially the younger set and she is paired with Rafe b/c he is the new hero of DAYS who is going to swoop in and give Sami her baby back. I guess I can understand the reasoning-- Salem needs a "good" woman figure. With Marlena, Kayla, Julie, and Alice gone and Caroline only on sporadically, who else is there to play this role? All we have left are teen or young girls, such as Mel and Steph, and the villains Kate and Nicole and now Vivian. We longtime viewers of DAYS haven't forgotten the old Sami, but the writers have and IMO, the old Sami is going to stay in the past.
All the more reason to bring back either Martha Madison or Christie Clark to fill that void. They certainly are having no problems bringing in new or returning characters so I see no reason to take what has been one of the most compelling, love her or hate her you talk about her characters in the history of the show and totally wash her out. Maturing Sami is one thing - but it's a shame to take away the components that have made her so much fun to watch and root either for or against all these years.

It will be interesting to see how the baby reveal is handled as far as Sami's reaction. I'm hoping we get to see a reemergence of the Sami of old. She's certainly been missed.
From what I had heard awhile back, it was always thought that Belle would fill the Marlena-like role in time; however, TPTB decided to not bring back her character and decided that Sami would fill the role instead. I had also read that they decided to not have her do anymore of the past things she had done-- kind of just forget they happened-- and start her on a new path. Again, IMO, this is what they have done. I think it will be interesting to see how Sami reacts when she finds out about Sydney and what will be both her short and long term reaction to Nicole. If she is, indeed, a new Sami as they have portrayed her, then she will probably be angry as hell at first, but then mellow out in time. If they are going to turn her around to the old Sami, then she will not only be angry at first, but will plot something to get back at Nicole. I just don't see this second scenario happening unless they are going to completely undo the character they have built over the past year or two.

todays episode with Bo and Hope is so good because he finally stands up to her highness and doesn't back down. this is getting good and I'm glad Bo makes really great points about the way Hope moved out taking his daughter away and not contacting him for days then moving into Victors house. Hope made her bed now she can just sleep in it. and you can tell today from her voice and her facial expressions that shes aware of how stupid her decision was. Hope is a hateful shrew and Bo might just finally get his fill of her and be done I hope. again I wish Justin could get unwrapped from Hope's thumb and find a storyline away from playing her lapdog. maybe after he springs Carly from jail he will have more to do then comfort pouting spoiled rotten Hope.

It's about time Bo grew some balls! I love the way he calls her on her hypocrisy at every turn.

I'm going to defend Bo putting Carly in BOPE's bed - my husband has ALWAYS believed that your guest should be put in the best room/bed in the house, so he too would have put an old girlfriend in our bed vs one of the kids rooms or guest rooms. Dumb yes, but polite maybe.

I also don't see how Mia's sex life is any of Sami's or Will's business. She didn't cheat on Will. He should just shut up, wear a condom and be happy he has a chance of getting laid with that bad hair of his.

As for EJ, I have defended him endlessly thinking he will come to his senses about Sydney, especially since Chad will be out of the picture, but I think I am done with him now. What a total asshat.
