I agree with Nelson. It's sad to say, but Y&R is a pile of boring dreck these days. It's unfortunate, because the show was on fire just a few short months ago. No other soap could touch it. Now though, it's just... ugh. So boring. |

The show hasn't been anything special since May. Nelson, I'm glad you've finally seen the truth where the shit filled Y&R is concerned. |

Kenny, I agree. The show is awful. But IMO it has been for almost the last year. Frankly I never understood the praise for MAB after the first few months. She has written one awful story line after another that seems to have been thrown together without any thought to as to whether they even makes a modicum of sense. There is no substance to the plots or to the conversations characters have. Facts change from day to day for plot line purposes. Y&R has some terrific actors who are trying their best but even they can't overcome the garbage material they have been given. To show you how bad things are the scenes where Nikki gave Victor a dog as a present were the highlight of yesterday's how. LOL! |

I feel like Y&R's biggest problem is they're not doing what they are known for and that's showcasing their established characters and making the stories really about them. Let me explain. We may have had Victor and Ashley front and center during the gaslighting/fake pregnancy storyline, but it was really about Adam and focused on him. I enjoyed the entire storyline up until the point where Ashley and Victor started fighting and their marriage began to crumble. I didn't like how much Ashley relied on Adam either. It just became too much about Adam and Victor and Ashley were used as props. They failed at using established characters to establish a newer character. The same thing can be said for the art storyline. No one gave a damn about Daniel, Amber, Kevin and Jana's quest to retrieve that piece of art. And adding Deacon Sharpe into the mix really did nothing. Poor Michael Graziadei. He was on his way out the door and this was the big storyline he signed on to stay for? I remember when he first re-signed and we were told he was getting a big storyline, a lot of people speculated it could be about his biological dad. Sucks that never happened. That could've been a treat to long time viewers because the writers are using Y&R history. Instead, we got B&B history and the focus went on Amber...AGAIN. I'm still waiting for Gloria and Jeffery to be sent out of town. I wouldn't really mind Gloria staying, but Jeffery brings her down for me and since they're always together, I hate both of them. I see potential in Ryder, but I feel like he's getting too much focus too soon. That's the big problem. I understand that the writers probably see the next Kevin in Ryder, but we're being forced that. The reason Kevin caught on with fans was because it was a gradual build. We didn't learn Kevin was even connected to anyone in town for a few months after he was on the show. And then slowly, more of Kevin was shown to the audience and we were introduced to the character through more established characters like Michael and Lauren, who had just as much focus on them as Kevin did and it was his story. I just feel like Y&R has the wrong characters on the front burner right now, which I don't understand because they were using the right characters in the right stories for a good amount of time that I felt Bell, Sheffer and Hamner really knew what they were doing. |

I'm confused about one thing: who are the "inmates" running the asylum at Y&R? I don't quite understand the implication there. It seems to me that when the show is amazing, all credit goes to MAB -- but when the show is bad, blame goes elsewhere. Has MAB been kicking back and letting others run the show into the ground or something? If so, that's unfortunate, because the show was amazing earlier this year. I don't like seeing it like this. I want to know who I should be blaming for the state of the show right now. |

It just amazes me that the same people responsible for August-May are apparently the same people still writing the show. I'm hoping that this round of characters on the front burner is over soon and we can switch up the plate and start featuring some of our favorites again. |

LOL... No, Bill Bell isn't watching over Days. Chris Whitesell isn't Bill Bell and he's got a loooooong way to go before he gets there. But he's trying. I'll give him that. As for GH... my God, Maurice can act his ass off when he's given the right material. That whole scene with him and Sarah on Friday was spellbinding. |

If those scenes are submitted, Bernard deserves the Emmy and so does GH. |

I don't think Bernard was bad, but I really don't get all the fuss over his performance either. Way more impressed by what David Canary has been up to this year, personally. |

I wouldn't mind watching Maurice Bernard and Michael Park battling it out for best actor next year. Both are deserving and have been amazing lately. |

Maurice Benard cant act for shit. I dont know what yall are smoking when watching that clip. He's doing his usual stumbling through his lines, and looking at the floor (que cards?) when he's talking to other people. |
