Please link to DR. While Rex is dealing with the revelation of his true paternity in Michigan, his father Mitch Laurence is showing his true colors in Napa, where he has Natalie, Jessica and Jared trapped. “I think it’s quite exciting because first of all, doing anything with Roscoe [Born] is awesome,” gushes Melissa Archer (Natalie) of Mitch’s return from the grave. “He just brings it to a whole other level; he’s a really good bad guy, in the sense that he plays it well.” A horrified Jessica discovers Nash’s skeleton in the greenhouse at his old vineyard when Jared appears outside and begs her to open the locked door for him. “He’s kind of going back and forth, side to side, trying to get her to let him in and trying to warn her, but she still thinks he’s this bad guy”, Archer explains. “And this greenhouse is so cool. The whole setup reminds me of a scary movie.” Natalie, meanwhile, has disappeared. “They start hearing a knocking sound, so Jessica runs over to this closet and opens it, and Natalie comes falling out; she had passed out in there!” After Jessica revives her sister, Natalie’s first instinct is to reunite with Jared and let him inside the greenhouse. “She believes that he’s innocent,” says Archer. “I don’t know if she knows what all of this adds up to, but she believes that he’s not this bad, awful person. And then, we see who’s behind it all.” Enter the frighteningly wicked Mitch Laurence, who faked his own demise in Llanview six years ago. “[Natalie’s] in complete shock that he is even alive. I don’t think there was any suspicion of that whatsoever,” explains Archer. “Her first reaction is, ‘Is that really him?’ And then, ‘Oh, my God, what does this mean now’”. However, after Mitch reveals himself, “Everything is explained. Things are made very clear, and he has very clear intentions for Natalie and Jessica.” While this is going on, John and Brody hurry to rescue the Buchanan sisters after John realizes that Mitch is the only person who could be responsible for the murders and grave-robbing. Unfortunately, things take a tragic turn when someone tries to be a hero. “It has a pretty dramatic effect on Natalie. It will change her life forever,” previews Archer, adding, “The aftermath brings even more people into it.” |
