Please Link to DR, Thanks :D Episodes of General Hospital have been alluding to a mysterious character for the past several weeks, and on Friday, November 20, the who part of this mystery is answered when James Franco joins the canvas in role of an artist who has a fascination with murder, crime scenes and death. Franco see's Jason as an expert in the field and wants to compare notes with him. However, when Jason doesn't return Franco's admiration, his obsession will soon turn deadly," Head Writer, Robert Guza Jr. explains. Many of the residents of Port Charles attend the opening of an art gallery hosted by Franco's alter ego, Franco. Some, including Sonny and Jason are there to establish an alibi for another incident that took place earlier. A few of the attendees are unsure of the situation right off the bat. Lucky is on to something pretty soon into the evening and Dominic, who is also there for the purpose of an alibi, catches on to something familiar about one of Franco's pieces. "There is someone in town her nearly put a stop to Franco's criminal activities years ago," says Guza. "Franco will also find a way to get revenge against this person- and the people he or she loves the most." Franco also finds himself attracting the attention of several of the women of Port Charles. "His arrival is a big deal," Laura Wright(Carly) notes. Between what Carly and Jax are going though, what Lucky and Liz are dealing with and Maxie heading up the event, Franco has his plate full. Both Carly and Liz are in troubled times, during which some people stray. On the other hand, Maxie decided not to go through with her marriage to Spinelli because she couldn't let go of her freedom just yet. Even Sam, who has a 'no commitment' policy with Jason, could fall victim to Franco's charms. All four women are in the prime position for Franco to 'sweep' in as the sexy stranger. Towards the end of the night Jason and Spinelli are on a mission to find out who sent the picture of Claudia's dead body to Sonny. Curious as to what Franco's real motives are, Jason starts to put the pieces together that Franco may not be telling the whole truth. Concerned for Michael, Jason is willing to do anything it takes to protect him, even if that means taking the fall for Claudia's murder. During all of this, Franco puts the moves on Maxie and the two are soon in bed together. Maxie wants to get Franco do a photo shoot for Crimson and he appeals to that edgier side that Maxie has. In a not so surprise turn of events, Maxie soon feels guilty for cheating on Spinelli. As the coming weeks unfold, the consequences of the actions taken by the majority of the canvas will come to light and who Franco really his and what he is ultimately up to will be revealed. The article also notes that the mysterious tag viewers have seen, CO77X, will continue to play a part in the story and what it means will be revealed on December 11th. |

It was really hard to type this summary with out adding my own running commentary. I'll be tuning in for Franco's story, but I couldn't help laughing at some of what Guza 'gushed' about. It's no surprise that Franco will be playing a rather dark character. I'm sure he'll be great at it, but it would have been nice to see someone come in that wasn't so obsessed with murder and death. It's GH though, so again, it's no big surprise. The part that had me rolling my eyes was the 'justification' of why one of the female character might sleep with Franco. It totally, in true GH fashion, makes them sound so trashy and desperate. Like Liz or Carly really need to be 'toying' with the idea of sleeping with Franco, especially Liz. Maxie makes a little more since to me, and instead of playing it up and then spilling the beans a few paragraphs later, they should have just explained more in depth, Maxie's reasoning for giving in. Even here, getting him to do a photo shoot by sleeping with him, sounds pretty low for Maxie. There was also another part of the article that talked about how Jill Farren Phelps was listening to a CD her daughter made her and that's where she 'discovered' the song(Mad World) they just had to use for Franco's character. :laugh: She's so full of herself. |

I'll admit it's been a long time since I've watched GH, but JF coming on has me curious, so I'll check it out, but don't have high hopes, that hack Guza still writes the show afterall thanks Mateo! |

:laugh: Always a day late and a dollar short. I really don't care how bad this storyline is gonna be, I'll be glued to GH for as long as James Franco is on. I also hate the way way Maxie is being portrayed here.. Granted its almost worth it if it ends up breaking up spixie.... And being that he is a crazy ass murderer, I see no future pairing of them .. which will hopefully send her into the arms of the good Dr. Matt. Although I did hear (a rumor) that Maxie is drugged by Franco and that is how she ends up sleeping with him, kinda a date rape situation. That atleast would leave her with some redemption even though Im sure the guilt will knaw at her. |
