With all the sadness surrounding Jared’s death, the Buchanans get something to be thankful for this week when Matthew regains feeling in his legs. “After the surgery, they’d been told bad news, and then Superman showed up and it was, ‘I think I’ve done it!’” Hillary B. Smith (Nora) recaps, about Greg’s efforts. “So right now, there’s still hope, but they don’t know that he can walk.” After learning about Jared, Bo and Nora are forced to leave Matthew in Seattle to return to Llanview. Meanwhile, Nora has been preparing to tell Clint about her and Bo, but a halt is put to her plan by Jared’s funeral. “Nora is distraught that they’re having to put this on hold, and Clint walks in on them hugging and says, ‘I know what this is about. You need to be with Matthew.’” Consequently, Clint flies everyone, including Destiny and her family, out to Seattle for Thanksgiving. “They are sitting around Matthew’s bed, and Destiny’s fork falls on his leg,” previews Matthew’s portrayer, Eddie Alderson. “It’s a shocking moment. Matthew says, ‘I just felt that,’ and everyone is just freaking out. Greg runs into the room and checks out his legs.” Even though sensation in his legs is far from getting up and walking, Alderson is sure that the drama between Matthew and his parents is behind them. “Matthew has a line where he says, ‘Look, I’m really sorry we had to go through all this, but I told you it was all worth it, because everything was going to be okay. And it ended up being okay, so you guys were just too worried,’” Alderson recounts. And, if none of this had happened, Matthew might never have met Danielle. “He really likes her,” says Alderson. When Danielle leaves Seattle, “he even asks Bo, ‘Dad, is this the way you feel about Mom, and how you felt when she married Uncle Clint? Is this the [knot] in your stomach that I’m feeling now?’ And Bo says, ‘Yes.’ It’s a good moment between Bo and Matthew, talking about girls.” At this point, “[Matthew just] appreciates life,” smiles Alderson. |

Awwww. I kind of feel bad for Destiny but I think Matthew and Danielle are cute together. Clint is so dumb though. Just screw Kim already and get it over with! |

How sweet for Matt and Dani. I really like them together. Destiny is a nice girl, but...she's just...eh. Bo should have some interesting advice about women, considering he has had about 57 different ladies. |

Finally! I'm glad Matthew's surgery is successful and he's on the road to recovery. And I love how this storyline brought Bo and Nora back together, gradually and naturally. Nothing felt forced. I do feel bad for Destiny in all of this now that Danielle is in the picture. :( I hated the character for months, but her scenes with David made me an instant fan. Shenelle Edmonds managed to pull off comedic relief. Only thing I have a problem with is most of the Buchanans besides Jessica and Natalie are going to Seattle for Thanksgiving. Natalie's husband was just killed. Doesn't Clint think he should spend the holiday with his daughter? Edited by DrewHamilton, Nov 19 2009, 03:33 PM.

I don't think Clint goes to Seattle... he just fly's everyone else out there. I honestly can't see him leaving his daughter at a time like this. As soon as Dani came on the show I saw the sparks between her and Matthew instantly, and I really enjoy her. I'm surprised I like Danielle considering that I really don't like either of her parents. LOL. Destiny I go back and forth on but I do hope she and Matthew remain friends. With this being a soap, that doesn't neccasarily mean she's out of the picture forever. lol. I'm glad Nora gets to be with Bo and her kids... I was afraid she'd be stuck with Clint for the holidays. lol. |
