Maybe he can go help the Melrose Place redux find itself. They need all the help they can get in the writing dept on that show.... |

That sucks for the actors to have to find out this sort of shit on the Internet. I'm wondering what finally sealed the deal on ABCD's decision. I'm thinking the Adam purgatory scene. |

I'd be all for that, actually. He may suck at writing daytime soaps, but the new MP needs someone who understood the old MP. |

This makes me think ABC is behind All My Children, almost more than the move. He was the wrong fit from the start, and most of his choices have been wrong for the characters. The only idea he had that I agreed with was that Adam and Erica should have storylines. The storylines he gave them were not good, but I agree they should be featured. What a mess, and they are so far ahead who knows when his stuff will finish airing. I hope they take the time to find the right writer who is the right fit for the show. Now if we could just get rid of Guza and his team on GH. All this talk about how great GH has gotten- Michael killed a woman, and Sonny and Jason are covering it up, with little devotion to the mental disturbance of Michael, and all the focus on covering for him ( at least in the clips I saw), Nikolas and Liz, and James Franco's character is an artist obsessed with death. Sounds like the same old Guza from the last 7 years to me. What a waste of all those James Franco fans checking out the trainwreck. Edited by titan1978, Nov 20 2009, 10:09 PM.

The buzz is that the search for a replacement hasn't started yet but that ABCD hopes to find one by the end of the month. This is from one of my sources. |

How stupid to be doing all of this before the big move. If they wanted to get rid of him, they should've done it so by the time the LA episodes air they can promote a great new HW in addition to improved production values and the HD format. Now people will tune in and we'll either have a dull transitional period or absolute chaos as the show transitions. Thats what killed GL. The writing was so bad (especially with the writers strike) that it just highlighted all the kinks in the new production model. THis'll be interesting. Both of McTavish's replacements have been huge disappointments. Even in the announcement. I wonder if they'll announce someone similar (maybe even McTavish herself). |

Is there ANY way... any at all... they can reverse that fiasco??? And I've been a Bob Guza fan for a long time, but I understand how polarizing he can be. Hell, that's another thread entirely. |

That ABC didn't have a replacement in mind before the firing makes this seem really odd. Does that mean Pratt quit or maybe some ABC exec finally actually bothered to watch an episode of AMC and realized how bad it was warranted his immediate dismissal? |

I am sort of sad in a way because Pratt actually made AMC entertaining. That doesn't mean the storylines were good but it kept me watching. I also liked how he used Erica/Adam more. Those are the characters the new HW needs to focus on. More Tad/Adam/Erica/David/Angie/Jesse. Less Ryan/Annie/ect.. |

If they were smart, they would just keep her on as permanent HW. But this is Frons, so.... |
