Wow. If this is true ABC is taking the right direction. We fans deserve someone like LB after Megan, B&E and Pratt.

If they were smart, they would just keep her on as permanent HW. But this is Frons, so....
Who knows if she even wants a HW stint that is full-time?

This is GREAT news for AMC fans. Hell, it's great news for soap fans in general- when is the last time a show hired a head writer from the past that can actually write and who's work is well-regarded? I really hope LB can provide the kick in the pants this show so desperately needs.

What is Broderick responsible for during her past time as AMC's head writer?

I am happy that AMC is using an accomplished writer like LB to helm the show if only temporarily. I know I am in the minority here for I have only been watching AMC the last couple of years, but I liked Charles Pratt, Jr.

Lorraine Broderick served as head writer for AMC when she replaced Megan McTavish from mid-1995 until she left in late 1997 when McTavish returned to the show.
