Y&R: Christmas Tragedy for the Abbotts?; *Updated 11/28*

A reliable source has revealed to us that Y&R is currently taping scenes (set to air around the holidays) that feature the character of Billy Abbott fighting for his life after being involved in some kind of dramatic accident or car crash. He appears to be at death's door and it's looking like he might not survive...

So much for happy holidays in Genoa City!

*UPDATED 11/28*

I'm being told that Billy will miraculously survive this accident and he will be a changed man (maybe?) after a Christmas Carol-esque encounter with his dead father, John Abbott.

I highly doubt they'll kill off Billy. This is probably going to be a "trip to heaven" thing where Billy realizes he needs to shape up his life for the people he loves and cares about.

^^No doubt! Are they tryin' to kill 'em off?

I bet his accident is, somehow, caused by Mary Jane/Patty/Wack Job.

After all... tomorrow is another day!

Billy Miller is one of the only things I like about Y&R right now. They best not kill this boy off.

I'm thinking this might be part of an "It's A Wonderful Life"-esque holiday miracle.

Agreed.

I've seen speculation everywhere for a long time now that YR would probably go down that road with Billy this year. He's YR's golden boy of the moment, and their Mikey-centric episode of this type last year went over well (didn't CLB win an Emmy based on those reels?) It makes sense they'd try to repeat their success with their current go-to guy. Plus...with all his screw-ups lately, he's the obvious choice for a holiday change of heart.

I just hope they don't use this as a vehicle to make him accept Mac's surrogacy....because IMHO....he's acting out because of it....but he's not wrong to dislike the idea. I hope the turnaround has more to do with him being an absentee father....while his nephew's been doting on his daughter.

I hope they aren't killing Billy off, there's been enough death on this show this year, so much for looking forward to a Christmas miracle, something positive happening.

Billy's been making me mad lately and hasn't been very fun to watch, but I hope they're not killing him off. Instead of risking the legacy characters the show should be focusing on getting rid of the crap characters (ex. Kevin, Jana, Ryder, Chloe, Amber, post-porn-Daniel, Jeffrey, Gloria, etc).

With any luck, this illness will bring Billy and Mac back together and make him act like less than a jerk.

Billy Miller is my favorite actor on the show! If they fire him, I'm so done with the show!

I hope this brings Billy and Chloe together! Maybe, Billy will realize how much Delia and Chloe mean to him. His family. His girls.

Hoping for CHILLY!

Rooting for Billy and Chloe!

I was thinking the same, but would they really go to the same well two years in a row?
