^^ Sure why not, it saves them from writing a new story ;) I don't think for one minute that they will kill Billy off, I doubt the writers are that stupid, at least I hope they're not. Gee won't it be just wonderful to see the Abbotts suffering again because they just haven't suffered enough yet have they. At least there aren't any more Newmans that need hearts so Billy should be safe :scared: Thanks Kenny |

Well crazygirl, I could argue that worthless POS Adumb might need a heart. He seems to live and breathe without one. I would love to see the show kill off that guy. But I guess it's more fun to continually bash and diminish the Abbotts. thanks Kenny! |

I don't think they would actually kill off Billy. Billy Miller is the best things on that show right now. I could see them giving him a type of episode that focuses on Billy rethinking his life in the lines like they did with Michael last year. Give Miller his emmy shot this year. |

If they're doing the same thing with Billy that they did last year with Michael, then what a cheap and lazy gimmick. Just when you thought the writing team at Y&R wasn't uncreative and repetitive enough, they prove you wrong. These people need to be fired, like yesterday. |

Looks like these casting calls might be related to the upcoming life-or-death drama with Billy. Thanks to our "royal princess" for sending 'em our way!

I hope they don't kill off Billy, even though he's not my favorite. They probably won't they have to start making some of the younger characters have more complex characters so that they can keep them around (most of the Abbotts and Newmans are starting to age a bit) for many years. And I agree, what a better way to add depth than to have some kind of it's a wonderful lifesque moment. |

Rocksey, this might be a random question, but where did you get that Mac/Billy photo in your avatar? What site? It looks new. |

Hey Kenny, any news yet on whether this will be an episode like Michael's last year or will it be actual Y&Reality? Please let me know, this post has had me on the edge of my seat (although I just KNOW they wouldn't DARE kill Billy Abbott off, the "what if" keeps picking at me!)? Thanks! |

Little "birdies" are now whispering that Billy will miraculously survive this accident and he will be a changed man (maybe?) after a Christmas Carol-esque encounter with his dead father, John Abbott. |

I don't want Billy to be redeemed. I want him to get further into the shit with his family, with the Newmans, and with himself. All the while making Restless Style a success off his own dickishness. Why the fuck does every goddamn character need to be "redeemed"? When we say we want Billy to be good, we mean "Hey, let him be a dick, but a dick with a conscience that basically knows what the right thing to do is and doesn't always do that. Whether for selfish or other reasons." Not turning him into some cookie cutter good guy. There's enough of those in daytime, that's why the business is in such a shithole. And come to think of it, didn't Days try to "redeem" Sami? No one really wanted Sami redeemed, we just wanted her to be more conscious that her family loved her and, if she needed to focus her mischief on something, to focus her fire on the DiMeras. But no, she didn't really do that. She fell in love with EJ or some shit, she wore a black wedding dress, and that's it. Stop with the redemption of interesting characters bullshit. Especially when said character is interesting and has future potential. And, not to mention, is way young in comparison to others on the show and shouldn't be finding redemption so early. And not through a stupid plot device. Most normal people try and redeem themselves after seeing how much heartbreak and hurt they've laid in their wake. That's how to develop someone from bad to good. Billy's not there yet. And won't be for a long time. |

Thank you! I don't see what's so bad about Billy in the first place. I was cheering for him when he ran that cover story about Victor in Restless Style. The old goat deserved it! It pissed me off when half the town was riding Billy's ass about it. I was like, "WTF? He didn't do anything wrong!" Really though, Billy isn't a "bad" character. He isn't stereotypically evil by any means. I wouldn't even call him a "dark" character. Just selfish and troublesome. Why strip those interesting qualities away? |

I don't think they are going to kill him, just rough him up a bit. Hopefully his brush with death will make him see what a jerk he has been. And I seriously hope this is enough to wake him from his Mac induced coma because watching him pine away for Miss Boring herself is getting old. I don't need him to be "redeemed" per se, I just need him to stop acting like a jerk and see that his actions have consequences. I don't want him to become some boring shell of what he used to be. That would be lame. |

thank you kenny for the update! Billy Miller is the reason I watch Y&R. He and Mac need to have their 2nd chance at happiness.. This will give it to them.. John Abbott loved Mac and so did Colleen.. When Billy and Colleen were talking at Colleen's house she told him that 'granddad' would be happy that Billy was back with Mac. This will change Billy for the better and then he and mac can have the future they've waited 6 years for. :D |

Exactly right! Why does Billy have be redeemed? Despite the writers trying to stack the decks against Billy in every instance he was the one who was in the right. It was perfectly understandable why Billy did not want the grotesque old man who was responsible to get Colleen's heart. The way Traci practically kissed Victor's feet at Faith's christening was disgusting. Billy was the only one with the guts to say what needed to be said in regard to the Colleen situation. So what if Billy ran a negative article about Victor in Restless? Everything he wrote was true. Jack and Ashley were the ones who were off base lashing out at Billy. Now with the Mac being a surrogate for Cane and Lily Billy's reactions are again understandable and don't make him an ogre. Billy is one of the few interesting characters left on Y&R. The writers start messing around with this character they will destroy him as they have done so many other characters. |
