Gabi is annoying, ugh. I already don't like Arianna - why the need to bring in more Hernandez family members? I found it strange that Caroline and co. took the twins, and Sami and Rafe kept Sydney. What was up with that? And the ridiculousness of ALL of Sami's kids being in one room reminded how STUPID it is that she has 4! FOUR! If anythings going to ruin her character, it'll definitely be this. LOL to Brady being the last to know. God, this version of Brady is terrible. Funny to laugh at, though. I feel like at this point, Nicole is being written as beyond desperate. I was really on her side, and still am to a point, but the continual lying to the only person who still cares about her - Brady - and the fact she won't just let this go is getting a little crazy. She's seriously going to kidnap Sydney? It might be hard to redeem her after all of this is through, particularly as she's already been caught, thrown in jail, and lied for the umpteenth time....and the manipulative tactics with the other characters? Who's going to believe a thing she says after this? Oh, Stephanie. Here we go again. I stand by what I said before - this character is a total slut! She bounces around from guy to guy aimlessly, and doesn't bother to wait 5 minutes either. Her desperation is annoying, though, this love 'square' could get interesting. Love Philip and Melanie. James acting was soooo over the top when choking Stefano, lol. Terrible. And Kate being there was pointless. If they're going to have her as the DiMera wife, then they should milk it and actually have her around consistently - it's like she's there less than 50% of the time. I think she had like, 5 lines too, which was lame. |

Guess nobody's going to comment on the classic Days Thanksgiving clips I posted? Well I just loved them. The first one it was so fun seeing the adventure and danger of the island intercut with the people waiting and worrying back home and getting to see the Hortons on Thanksgiving. The second one was from the first year I started watching Days and I loved Bo and Billie back then and it was great seeing the Bradys celebrate Thanksgiving at the same time you can see something is off with Sami and Belle which was to set up the kidnapping saga to come the following month. On to some thoughts about Monday's show: -Glad we finally got to see Caroline and Roman and Sami's children all in the same room with Sydney, but does Rafe have to be lurking there every second? It annoys me enough that there couldn't be a single EJ and Sami alone with the baby moment in this whole reveal, but because it was referenced that Caroline and Roman were with Sami and Sydney on Friday's show, I wish we could have got these scenes on Friday then while Rafe was hanging out at the Hernandez Pub away from it all. -That Phillip and Melanie kiss was hot. I liked the slap too. Even though I don't think the show will let these two be together in the end, dammit I like Phelanie now. The chem is just fun. Stethan is also interesting me. Although some of the music for some of Stephanie's scenes (at the end of part 1 on the clips for example) was weird in this epi. Anyway, yay for Phillip calling out Victor for ragging on every single woman that enters his orbit and damn if I don't enjoy Victor being an asshole too. Too bad we couldn't get more Vivian at the end but I guess that'll have to wait for Tuesday's show. -I enjoy Mia so much more as a bitch. And Chad is such an obnoxious prick, I LOVE him! I hope they have some good stuff for Chad coming up after this baby switch stuff wraps up. -EJ/Stefano/Kate continued to be enjoyably intense. Not too sure how I feel about the spitting though. Definitely interesting. :D I liked a lot of the things EJ had to say finally putting it together that his father is the root of a lot of his problems with Sami (even though that revelation was at least two years late in coming really) but at the same time I enjoyed Stefano throwing it back in EJ's face that he needs to take responsibility for his own mistakes as well. I wish I could trust this show to follow through on EJ getting his own place outside of the DiMansion but given what set cheapskates they are I doubt EJ's pronouncement will mean as much as it should even when it's not like Steve and Kayla are living in his old apartment any more. And as much as there are some continuity/common sense issues with the Kate-Stefano pairing that we talked about in last week's thread, damn if Kate and Stefano aren't just adorable playing chess together. Love her giving him pointers about how to deal with children disowning you. -Brady's just too dumb to live. But at the same time I wish he hadn't run to the pub to tell Arianna what was going on, but Nicole had convinced Brady to run away WITH HER and he could be her accomplice without ever knowing the full extent of the baby switch shenanigans until they were already on the road together, and had sex and conceived a miracle Bricole child. Brady was kind of being a douche to Arianna again in this epi just like when he ransacked her apartment. The show needs to stop having these scenes if it wants to wean me off my Bricole preferring and enjoy Branna. And is Arianna wearing the same teal minidress that Melanie has under her brown jacket? -Sydney's just too adorable to stand. They better not shove this kid in a closet with the baby switch story is done. -Nicole is such a loon. What exactly was she going to do in Sami's apartment if Brady hadn't stopped her from going in? -WTF at Sami thanking her Dad for the Salem PD browbeating EJ so she could take the kid home. EJ agreed to let Sydney stay the night with her even before that happened so even if the Salem PD had just been doing that to help Sami, it really only caused problems for her because it pissed off EJ when before he was being amicable about things. Also, WTF at Roman's nonsense about how he's not so sure that EJ didn't have anything to do with the hit? Why would that make any sense at all? Are they really going to continue with this stupid plotpoint? Also, I think I almost went into a diabetic coma at the sticky sweetness of Sami's "There is nothing better than being a Brady" and "This love, it warms your heart and can get you through anything" speech, but thankfully I managed to :puke: all that sugar up instead. I miss the anti-Brady sooooooo much. "You can all spend the rest of your lives boring the hell out of each other. I am going to lead an exciting life where I don't have to please anyone but myself." Oh that you would have done that Sami. Oh that you would have. |

Aww........that's the Sami I love, "the anti-Brady". Thanks IMA for posting this, I needed to see the old REAL Sami again. As for this episode, there were parts I liked and parts I didn't like. I liked that EJ FINALLY got his brain back and put the pieces together. I thought JS and JM did great in their scenes, maybe the spitting was a little over the top, but overall I thought it was good. I liked Phillip and Melanie as well, not sure what I think about Stephanie and Nathan yet, Stephanie just tends to get on my nerves as a rule. I hate that too because Steve and Kayla were "MY" couple back in the day, so for me to have such disdain for their daughter is so ironic. I HATED that Rafe has to be in every freakin' scene that Sami's in......tptb have forced him down my throat until the sight of him makes me sick. Seriously, it's pathetic that Sami can't wipe her butt with out eyebrows being there with the paper. What's up with Rotox?? Acting like he believes the hit man when he was there on the docks when Mateo named Stefano. He's up to something with his plastic forehead. Caroline getting all mushy with Rafe made me throw up in my mouth a little.......I know, I know he did put all the pieces together..........another point that I HATE!! I'm afraid if they keep interjecting Rafe into this story, it's going to fall flat. I think it has the possiblity of falling flat anyway, because of the dragging out and the "twist", which, by the way, I think is just Nicole kidnapping Sydney. I'm crossing my fingers that Ejami gets to go look for THEIR daugher, but I have a feeling Rafe will be right there sucking the life out of this story. Edited by JANALH, Nov 23 2009, 10:17 AM.

^I don't even recognize that Sami Brady anymore. It's like she is a totally different character...oh what could have been but what will never be! LOL! This episode made me laugh... And seeing Sami with all of those children..holy shit! That's crazy they did that to her character - a hot, young soap character shouldn't be saddled down with all of those babies. It was like a daycare! So Sami did call her dad so she could get Sydney away from EJ. Nice. That is something from Sami of old! And as far as storyline goes, it does make sense that Roman/Sami suggest that EJ was behind the hit. He's a Dimera. That's what they do...that's why Sami did what she did with his daughter. To make him anything else in their eyes would negate every reason for why Sami hid Grace other than she really does hate the man. And Rafe being there is fine with me. They are a couple, she's in love with him, and it isn't like he is all up in her face anymore than any other couple. He was the one that brought Sydney to Sami. It makes sense. But Sami's sweetness is kind of disgusting...especially with the Brady love. Good grief. We get the picture of how noble being a Brady is. LOL about Arianna saying that Nicole is the one person that tried to destroy Sami's life...um..obviously Arianna hasn't been around long because there were many other people who have tried to destroy Sami's life. EJ was WAY over the top with his Godfather-type line and the spitting. LMAO that EJ thinking that Stefano's little lie to him made his despicable. This is probably the least worst thing that Stefano has done of all of his evil deeds. Yes, EJ. Find your own home and family. Why you haven't done that before now, I'll never know. Daddy's little boy! Arianna and Brady aren't looking so good...warms my heart! :) Can't wait for a Brady/Nicole scene tomorrow. Kind of interested in Mel/Phil/Nat/Steph triangle! We'll see if it can hold my interest for more than an episode! Thanks for posting it...one less thing I need to watch tonight! |

I miss the Anti-Brady but like the slight maturing that Sami has shown over the years. What I don't care for is her strictly good girl routine and that she no longer has a manipulative bone in her body. Bring Carrie or Belle back for that shyte. The entire Brady family patchwork quilt of LOVE was craptastic. Why spend the money on the twins when they are immediately shipped off to Caroline's house? What Sydney really needs to know is that Sami will love her until she needs a shag and then it's off to Carolines... Today's epi is OK. I'm disappointed with the Stefano v EJ throwdown. It seemed truncated given the importance of the betrayal and then the attempted murder scene gets concluded with "I'm moving out." Sounds like a fight I had with my parents in high school. It is also disappointing that EJ/Sami were given no scene where they are realizing that they really have a living child together; instead they act like they've always known and immediately start the custody battle. ???? Somebody at NBC has been reading the boards and gotten it back to tptb that Stephanzzz needed some spice so now we get to see her scheming to get Melanie's guy. Gah. I'm still not interested. The young quad of doom needs something to do other than chasing after one another. I hate watching Philip constantly on the tail of Steph or Mel and arguing with Victor about it. I wish Vic was yelling at Philip for not being at work instead. Nicole is obviously off the deep end and Brady bailing her out then taking off to tell Arianna seemed like a really bad idea to say the least. Good thing that things at Titan are slow so he has the time to chase women all over Salem. Stefano and Kate are so delicious to me in this moment that I can forgive the obvious denial of their history. They would be better if we could see it onscreen but I know that is asking too much of the show. I really hope that the big 'twist' makes Rafe interesting to me because I still can't stand the character. With all of his 'hero' propping I have a feeling he might be in for a big fall. That would be great. It think the show needs good guys too but I don't need everyone telling me what he is because they have written the character so superficially. |

Preach it! When she was giving that speech, I was thinking 'what happened to Sami'?! I just thought it was so ridiculous, and like you I almost needed a barf bag. Sappy Sami sucks. Edited by klements, Nov 23 2009, 12:58 PM.

The thing is... I can't even imagine a goody-goody like Carrie Brady or Kayla Brady spouting that speech, let alone Sami Freaking Brady. It felt like the show was borrowing dialogue from the Brady Bunch there. |

Perfect starting to today's show with Brady discovering he is a complete moron! I thought it would take a while for that truth to leak to him. Meanwhile a nice scene at Sami's with all kids there for a change. Stephanie is such a little brat! Her little infatuation with the doctor is so highschool like. The way she is purposely trying to ensure he has to work late, and then offering him lunch etc. *sigh* Just tell him the truth. I'm surprised Kate actually stopped EJ from strangling the old man ... I guess she does love him. I don't think EJ would've been ablet o go through with anything serious anyways. |

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting that clip! It's definetly one of my favorite Sami Brady scenes ever. I miss this Sami. I miss this Sami and EJ. I loved how she mentions that EJ and Eric are the only people that she can be herself around because they accept her for who she is. The only thing I didn't like was her comment about Brandon. Yes, she said that she thought he was the same way, but then she said she realized it was a big lie. It really wasn't. Brandon is also the only person that accepts Sami for who she is. The only reason he left her was because she did a horrible thing to him when she tampered with Theo's paternity test results. Of course Brandon is going to be pissed off, but when he returned in 2004, after a year to cool down, he was back to being the biggest Sami Brady supporter, which of course was before EJ was introduced two years later. And I love how Sami seems to be the only one that can call Carrie out on her cheating ways. Everyone else in the family sweeps the fact that Carrie is a whore under the rug, except Sami. I love it. That scene will forever be a favorite of mine. |
