Is spoiler talk allowed in the weekly threads?
Why do you ask? It's already been revealed about Spoiler: click to toggle Anna. (Just playin' it safe here!) Back on topic: I watched a marathon three episodes while cleaning my family room and study. (YES, they were that messy). Still haven't seen Friday's episode, but.... 1. EGADS! I could go for Stephano and Kate! Their conversation over chess was almost touching. I like the human side of Stephano. 2. OK, the Bo/Hope/Carly crap is seriously going to become FF material for me, soon. Ciara was adorable in her boots and PJ's, however. I'm losin' my Justin love, too, although it was nice to see Crystal Chappell actually act animated in her little debate with WK. 3. The Nicole fangirl in me hurts to say this, but that damn hair HAS to go. However, I could seriously become a Bricole girl. once the black Max Headroom hair is gone. Arianna, chicka, you're toast to Brady. Arianna serves what purpose again? 4. Ali Sweeney should never go with the pulled back hair. Wayyy too damn severe without little bang thingies. Doubled with the persimmon mouth expression she sometimes pulls, and I just wrack my brain trying to think of way 2-3 guys would be fighting for her at any one time. 5. Sad to say, but I think Lucas sometimes just doesn't fit in anymore. There, I said it. I turned to the dark side. I hope they find something decent for him and soon, or just let BD go on without dangling promises to him. The Will/Mia scene: meh. 6. I'm officially in love with Vivian. 7. Rafe, well, hmmmmmm. 8. I was spared all things Melanie and Philip so far. (I guess that's coming now, as I trek back downstairs to finish that agonizing cleaning and watch yesterday's episode.) I can't justify liking Melanie and Philip just because Hope was young when she first hitched with Bo and Jennifer was young when she first hitched with Jack. Different actors, different writers, different feel. And it hurts my ever-lovin', Philip-lovin'-turned-to-almost-apathy heart. I need some good Philip-Kate-Vivian-Victor scenes, stat. Actually Bo was 20 when Hope was turning 18. So it's not true with Bo and Hope. Many, many scenes have confirmed over and over that Bo and Hope were little kids together. Peter is seven years older than KA but he always looked younger than he is.
Jack was a lot older than Jen for sure. A ten year age difference between actors seems to be the norm and I think that's what it is between JKJ and MB and JKJ and SH. It's no big deal. As for the characters' ages...heck that changes so often it's a moot point.

Is spoiler talk allowed in the weekly threads? No. I've already requested that people not discuss spoilers in the discussion thread, but that seems to have been pretty well ignored.... ^o)

I'm not letting go of my theory that Kate will be involved in the kidnapping. I just haven't figured out why she would do it. EJ or Stefano just seem too obvious with all their mysterious phone calls.
I agree, someone had to tip Spoiler: click to toggle Anna off. I just don't understand, again, how she would have the resources to pull this off. She has money, but connections to do so? And either way, the intelligence? The amount of plotting and scheming this would take is more in line with Kate than Spoiler: click to toggle Anna , lol. Further, Kate is right there in the middle of it, living in the DiMansion, so she knows what's up. I agree and I'm praying that Kate is behind Spoiler: click to toggle Anna as two women attempting revenge on the DiMera boys.
This week was pretty good overall but Viv/Vic/Kate/Stefano were the highlights for me. JM is doing an outstanding job and his genuine chemistry with LK is wonderful. Viv/Vic are a vet victory! I would like to see this quad get more screen time and go to war.
The more time Philip pursues Melanie, the less I like him. He is a character with so much potential lost in an endless loop of obsessing over women. Is it so difficult to write a decent story for the war hero son of a crime boss? oh right, this is Days...
I floved the Justin/Carly arguement and CC continues to win my affection but Justin has no business sabotaging Carly's job status. Douche-move Justin, I hope it indicates that you might consider not being squeaky clean for your tenure.
I cannot stand Hope.
EJ needs to stop talking with his hands. He is like a flapping, squawking bird and although I love him, he is making me crazy.

You know, I was just thinking yesterday how age has made PR more attractive. People seem to not like this Bope s/l but I am really liking the way Bo is acting, with some exception. He's standing up to Hope but there is no doubt in my mind that he is madly in love with this woman. Also, seeing PR the Dance Off video helped. I think PR looks better today than when he first started.

I still don't like Bope but Bo rocks.

Also, seeing PR the Dance Off video helped. I think PR looks better today than when he first started. LOL! I know it sounds stupid, but seeing the little snippet of GG in the Dance Off made me find him attractive. He has a two second scene but he has this rhythm head nodding thing going on and it was sexy on him. Who knew? And watching PR in that flashback with Carly this week made me think that PR has aged very well and looks alot better older and rugged than he did in his younger years. He, too, is a sexy man!
Days always had the sexy men!

Friday's show was really good. Lots of great character interaction. I'm loving Victor, Vivian, Kate and Stefano. Also I'm kind of interested in Carly interacting with Daniel.

For me, they don't click. It's possible, for me (trying to remember this far back) Jack and Jennifer worked for me because Jack was always kind of a goofball anyway. Not so Philip. For someone who went into battle twice, lost a leg (miraculously regenerated, I guess), married, divorced, running or helping to run a huge conglomerate, to fall in love with the ilks of Melanie just boggles the mind. Melanie just seems too flighty. Good grief! The very topic about her this week was her wishy-washiness about guys. That's juvenile behavior. What the heck does Philip want with that kind of behavior? Believe me. My husband is 9 years older than I am. I'm not speaking out of school here. Of course, I was also 24, we had been dating for a year, and I had two college degrees and was in the work force by that time. ;)

The years of smoking took a toll on that, I guess (just speculating).

But experience wise, the Horton girls had always had the "protected little girl" thing going. It's always bothered me about both Jennifer and Hope, that their men get blamed for all their stupid decisions. There's that pattern that they are forever girls and never women. At least that is what I got and why those formulas turned me off. Even now, Hope is acting like a spoiled teen girl and throwing temper tantrums of petty jealousy.
But Melanie, albeit, ditzy, has been on her own a lot more than Jen or Hope ever were.
I see Melanie and Philip a little like Hope going for Larry Welch (albeit I don't think Phillip is quite as low as Larry was...not yet anyway).

But still, for some reason, the actresses themselves (KA and MR) just didn't seem as flightly as MB. It's a whole personality thing for me. MB has her moments, but mostly, she seems to be all about flashing her gums. I could change my mind later, but right now, them as a couple just leaves me cold.

The Dance Off made me admire all of the actors featured in it, no one except Mark had skillz but everyone worked it and THAT is sexy.
I want to say one more time how good Joe M. has been and the writing for stefano has been as well. In the past, Stefano was so cartoonish in his omnipotence, so I feel like we are privy to seeing Stefano behind the closed door. Seeing him sweat out his power plays before he's able to twirl his moustache. It's a nice side to see.

It was such a brilliant idea to pair up Stefano and Kate. It's so amazing how enjoyable Kate is when she isn't meddling in her kids lives. Plus I can't wait for Kate to get jealous of Vivian and Victor's fake romance..

LOL to Melanie and Vivian's scene! Hilarious! "lack of child bearing hips..but I approve!" I love the comedic take Philip has on the whole "incubator mom" situation, too.
LK's looks are inconsistent. Thursday? Plastic surgery gone wrong! Friday? Looking good. WTF? I suspect this might be lighting.
LOL to EJ bugging Stefano's room. Is he going for another sex tape? I still think that Kate is involved with the kidnapping. It still might be EJ, or Sami. But this whole attitude Kate has towards Stefano is suspicious, and could be manipulative on her part. Also, twice in a row she's left to go "make phone calls." What phone calls?
Justin and Carly - still feelin' it!
And Carly knowing Daniel...who didn't see that one coming? *eye roll*

I still think that Kate is involved with the kidnapping. It still might be EJ, or Sami. But this whole attitude Kate has towards Stefano is suspicious, and could be manipulative on her part. Also, twice in a row she's left to go "make phone calls." What phone calls?
The more I think about the Kate theory, the more I like it. Taking Sydney is a perfect way to get back at the Dimeras for shooting Philip, and being able to hurt Sami would be the icing on the cake.

Surely Stefano would send her off to jail for trying to kill Dr Dan and Chloe then? Or just kill her himself...

If she is involved, and got caught, she could spin it into claiming she did it for him - hiding Syd to keep ejami from taking her from Stefano, and say she was keeping the truth from him until things calmed down.

You know, the more I see Sami in scenes with Rafe and EJ, the more I wonder why anybody roots for her to be with anyone. I don't care how the writers try to mold the character. Sami Brady is not a rootable romantic heroine. Not in her truest form. I understand that she's "grown" and "evolved," but she's been with so many men at this point that I just don't care who she's with anymore.
