I'm glad they sort of attempted to tie up some loose ends by having the confrontation with Victor about the business, but I still don't get why Arianna shouldn't turn Victor over to the cops for his involvement in the drug dealing so in the end the scenes just aggravated me even more, other than Victor dumping all over Brady, which I enjoyed.
I haven't seen today's show yet, but I got unreasonably excited initially while reading Prevuze yesterday when somebody seemed to imply that Victor mightn't be off the hot seat just because he sold the business. I see that didn't pan out, did it. I really didn't realize the cops had to catch you in the actual act of whatever crime you were committing in order to be able to prosecute you. That's really useful information.

Is hell freezing over or am I really enjoying GG/Rafe? I thought he was good with Nicole yesterday, and I liked him with Abe and Gabby today...I think I just don't like him with Sami...come to think of it, I don't like anyone with Sami...well, she is fun with Lucas, but I digress.

Speaking of Sami, what is the deal with her bracelet, I am watching her twirl the shit out of it and it is distracting in her scenes. Is that a secret shout out to someone?

And as far as Sami's penthouse, it is the worst of the set...1980's light pink Marlena design just sucks for today's style not to mention Sami's. And for all intents and purposes, Rafe really is a nice guy and really stepping up for Sami and her kids. I kind of don't want him to have any alterior motives because I like him as this really nice noble guy. It suits him.
I know what you mean. I really enjoyed Rafe's scenes with Nicole. I like Rafe best when he gets to be kind of slyly snarky the way he was with her. Plus, I loved how emphatic he was that all he cared about was getting Sydney back, even if it ultimately meant losing Sami. I like that he doesn't have any ulterior motives in all of this. Sometimes it's nice to have a genuinely good guy around.

And since I'm talking about yesterday's show. I didn't find Stephanie to be out of line with Nathan or Melanie at all. I think it was a little ridiculous of Nathan to call Stephanie expecting that she'd be thrilled to discuss Philip and Melanie with him. So, he deserved that little smackdown. And I had no problems with her attitude with Melanie since it was clearly in response to Melanie's jealous/hostile attitude. Melanie was the one clearly trying to find out why Nathan was with Stephanie and clearly not happy about it. Stephanie just gave a little of it back to her.

I'm glad it wasn't just me. Today was my first exposure to these other teens and that Tad kid, in just those small scenes, acted circles around the other kids and has about 100,000x more character and personality. They need to increase his role in the teen scene (maybe, give him a parent).

I love the Tad love! But because the writers are stupid and brought on Chad, Tad now has to go by T. I thought it was just a nickname Will called him, but today, Maggie called him that when she told Mia that she spotted T and Kinsey leaving.

Tad and Kinsey were the highlights today.

I'm a little bummed that Syd looks so content with a stranger, one of the redeeming things about Nicole stealing Syd was their bond.

Every time Tad is on I wish he was on more, I wish he was cast as Chad instead. The girl that plays Kinsey is pretty good, but I can't get past her mole. All I can do in her scenes is think to myself moley, moley, moley, MOLLLLEYYY.

My VCR quit working and I am not getting a DVR until next week, so I am close to 2 weeks behind. I just finished up the week of November 30th-Dec 4th and was probably the worst week in months. Just by reading everyone's thoughts it seems the show is much better in the coming weeks.

I really enjoyed today's episode, despite what I originally thought after seeing who would be featured.

I actually liked Rafe today. I liked his scenes with Gabi. Galen Gering and Gabriela Rodriguez do have nice sibling chemistry.

Anytime we get an Abe and Sami scene, I'm happy. I love their relationship. Abe is like her honorary uncle and always has been. It makes me happy when the writers remember this. I'm glad he was there for her today.

I'm going to miss Dylan Patton. He may not be the best actor, but he has chemistry with a lot of the cast.

EJ and Arianna have me sold. Pair these two ASAP!

Are you ready for this? My favorite scenes out of this episode involved the teens! Yes, I know, but the scenes were actually good, especially the scenes between Mia, T and Kinsey. They've toned Kinsey down a bit and that was a huge plus. She's still a bitch, but she's not one-note anymore. And poor T. He just sat there, looking so uncomfortable everytime Mia and Kinsey argued about Mia's depression over Grace's death. And I loved Gabi and Chad's first meeting as well. I see chemistry there.

I used to peg this as the second hottest sex scene ever...after Kate and Nicholas. I don't know, it's pretty hot but the amount of shock I had when I first watched it? LoL. With that said, I think I was only 13.

Did I ever tell you guys that this randomly came on in my History class? My teacher, apparently, watched DAYS and had taped something on the news for us to watch - only it didn't record, so when she hit play it was like right in the middle of this scene. My friends and I burst out laughing, it was so funny - and I was like "OMG! Is that Lexie?!"

Vivian has brought back some much needed snark and humor to the show. Her interactions with Carly, Kate, Victor, etc. are priceless.

Ok...I am going to say it. The poorly acted drug dealer is hot to me...Yes, I find him attractive. I wish the fella could act. They might keep him longer.

Spoiler: click to toggle

Blue Blocker time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mOPbWNHPQM

When Victor was yelling at Brady while wearing those Blue Blocker Sunglases I could not help but laugh. I would pay a fortune in Betty Crocker points to hear Victor Rap this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Png-PC0ews

Who the heck were those teens sitting at Maggie's table with Mia? More Floppers for the flop house?

Mia totally has Blair hair http://factsoflifeshow.tripod.com/bloopers.html fun site.

Maggie ought to charge by the hour for her time...so many heart to heart chats...so little time.

The sweetness of Safe made me gag on my Christmas cookies.

I love the kidnapper's shoes!!!

The retelling of the Ari and Ej encounter was snooze worthy....And can a drug dealer sell a business? I thought they just closed up shop. Victor sold his street corner? Really?

The show had its moments...better then the last few.

Much prefers sweevil, snarky EJ over Father Figure Fucktard Eejiot.

Thursday's show - my single laugh out loud moment:
EJ to Arianna: "I get lied to a lot. I think I know when somebody's not telling me the truth..."

Really, EJ?? Really??? Because up until like 10 minutes ago you've been pretty much falling for every line fed to you by Sami, Nicole, Stefano, etc. But thanks for the chuckle. ;)

It's not a good thing if the teenager in the family is the only one feeling like they shouldn't be doing normal things like say...oh...going to dances, having a laugh, having sex...while the baby is STILL MISSING. Stupid writers. :shame:

Maggie and Mia's conversation seemed to be a whole lot of foreshadowing...particularly the part about being able to move on and live life after a loss and what people would want for you. :'(

I actually liked the Chad and Gabi scene. It was nice to see Chad just being a teenager and not running around demanding things. And his scene with Mia was sweet, too - I liked that he acknowledged that it makes sense that Mia is feeling the loss of Grace more than he is because she had a much stronger connection to her.

Despite the chuckle worthy line, I enjoyed the scene with EJ, Arianna and Brady. It's nice to see EJ getting back on his game. If he was using the phone call about Sydney to manipulate Ari he did a damned good job - it would have sold me.

And either I blinked and missed the Safe love scene...or it put me to sleep. Either one is entirely possible.

"Relax nobody's having sex.... at least not yet"

I thought for sure that girl that played Kinsey was gone. I think we could have a nice little teen set with Will/Mia/Gabi/Chad/Tad/Kinsey. I hope there something they could do, that could shake things up. The idea that was discussed in the Death of a Horton thread, could liven things up.

Yesterday's show was great. And while I'm sure some delighted in the extra sugary Safe Christmas, not even Sami's Pepto-Bismal colored blouse could quell my nausea. Loved EJ getting back on his game and like SocR noted, I laughed out loud at his statement of desire. Clearly not fact.

Vic telling off Brady was great and I appreciated Brady calling him on his own dealings. Finally! Vic should feel lucky that Brady is still involved with Ari, otherwise he might currently be sharing a cell with Stefano rather than cock-tailing with Vivian.

The teens don't bug when T is involved and it seems that Kinsey toned down her shrill to snarky. I believe that might be the first teen scene that didn't grate on my nerves. I liked Chad better without the yelling and Mia is easier to handle when she is with Maggie.

Sami continues to suck and even Abe couldn't salvage that dynamic. Poor Abe, he really has no idea what the mayor is supposed to do does he? I'm confident it doesn't involve riding in the sidecar of a police investigation run by an unemployed construction worker. Would the Salem PD just hire Rafe already? argh.

I didn't enjoy Kinsey before--she was too OTT mean girl--but I enjoyed her Thursday. Especially because I so agreed with her about never again wanting to hear about "my baby" from Mia.
