Which never gets brought up, so why start now?
Watch it be mentioned on tomorrow's episode, LoL.
Probably. But I doubt it. When people bring up Kate's whorish past, Nicholas is never mentioned. Victor, Stefano, Bill Horton, John, EJ, Roman, even Vincent Maroni is mentioned. No Nikki though.
Because Kate and Nicholas never slept together, and not many people even knew about them getting close.

Well, can't say this wasn't predictable. But that doesn't mean it won't be a great story. Frankly, this should have been done eons ago.

I didn't know about Marlena and Mickey's history, but it would be stupid to bring her back for his funeral. What about for Grace's death? For this kidnapping scenario? Frankly, if they were going to bring her back, this kidnapping s/l was the perfect way to do it...so I'll pass on her return for now.
With that kind of thinking no character should ever come back. Frankie never went to funerals or weddings but he came back in 2005. Same with Kayla and she came back in 2006. Brady, Austin, Carrie. The list goes on.

They're going to have to kill off Alice, eventually. In fact, they probably should have taken care of that before offing Mickey...because now they have two big Horton funerals to worry about.
It really is a cluster, but I would hate for them to have Alice die before Frances actually passes away IRL....
Completely agree, and this is something I've thought of, too.

But still, isn't it kind of sad to kill Mickey off before his mother?

LOL! It's a freakin' technicality - they may as well have slept together, LoL - it's not like ACTUAL love scenes are much different than a whole bunch of making out anyway! And with the power of YouTube, more people WILL know, haha!

I'm talking about the people in Salem. When they bring up Kate's past with men to rub it in her face they don't mention Nicholas because they don't know about him and Kate.

If Will really does get paralyzed, they need to keep him in a wheelchair for awhile. No getting paralyzed for a couple of weeks or so, then having a miracle healing with everything being swept under the rug and forgotten. If the story is going to be done, let it have long lasting consequences.
I heard that OLTL recently did a long story arc with a paralyzed teen....I don't watch but maybe those that do can relate....I see it as a good story if done correctly, but then with DOOL you never know...

Fortunately, I think the show is in a place now where we can have a little more confidence that they will do a story justice.

Yep...was about time....and this is a good story too....they can really play up the drama on this...plus it involves the founding family...it would be great to see less and less of Rafe while this story plays out...I don't mind him but I don't want him to be front and center around Maggie and Lucas and other Hortons if he doesn't need to be....I'd be so pissed if these jackasses do that and they once again make this story about someone that shouldn't be there.

If done well this could be awesome but they need to bring back a lot of the Horton family to pull this off right and I don't think Days can pull it off. I hope I'm wrong. At a minimum you need Jennifer and Melissa.

I don't watch OLTL either, so IDK how it played out over there, but if this is the reason Days recasted Will, it seems like they're putting a lot of planning and effort into making it good.

It would be nice if they could recast Bill for the funeral, and let him stay for support if the Will story line happens (just noticed how it worked out that Will has the same name as his grandfather).

It's too bad the show doesn't really have the money to bring back and keep a lot of characters who'd add to the story. Going full circle, and rebuilding the Hortons could really help now that the super couples are gone.

I'm assuming bedroom since she finds him "upstairs."

I agree with OBK though. I've been hearing about this being in the works for nearly a year. Sure, it was only confirmed recently but they re-established Maggie as a presence in order to make this powerful for even the newer fans. I think the actual story and aftermath will be well thought out and good. The only thing I worry about is the funeral because I know there is no way they can make it what it should be. Too many of Mickey's siblings/friends/etc have been forgotten and we have the fact that some of the actors and actresses who played his siblings have passed on.

The Horton's were pretty much forgotten and I also think the show waited way too long on killing Mickey. They should've never recasted after John Clarke. That was a mistake.

And this is obviously the reason the photos in Maggie's house were changed to ones with her and John Clark.

Finding the body of a loved one is BAD. And soaps will never portray it for the reality it is.

Yep.

And your right. Discovering the body like that is horrific. Even if it's written and acted at it's best, you can't ever truly capture that kind of feeling and moment.

After all... tomorrow is another day!

Maybe this is just my own fanwanking in my mind, but I've always thought that DAYS was saving Alice's funeral for the final episode of Days of our Lives when it's cancelled. It's how they would explain everyone's returns to Salem for the final show.

I don't know why everyone is nitpicking that Maggie will find Mickey dead off-camera upstairs. Hell, when Tom died, Alice went upstairs at the end of one scene, cut to commercial, and the beginnig of the next scene had he coming down annoucing that Tom had passed and she'd found him dead in his sleep. And missing relatives at funerals is to be expected. Remember Tom's funeral? Of course, Marie came back, but there was no Bill (I don't think). And when Alice introduced Mickey to speak at the service, she introduced him as Tom's oldest son, which he isn't. Tommy (who was never mentioned) is the oldest.

I hope we get to see the actual discovery. I don't just want to have Maggie come running downstairs in hysterics to exclaim that Mickey is dead. Suzanne would rock the actual discovery.
