Actually....

You know who would make a good Bill? Joe Lambie (ex-Logan Swift, Edge; ex-Lloyd Kendall, SFT). He's the right age and still looks good.

I don't even remember who Kale Brown played - well, there ya go.

And I agree that we really don't need another kid disaster involving Sami's children.

You know, if Jennifer came back, she could bring a slightly aged Abby with her who could stick around as a junior investigative reporter for The Spectator. Of course, she'd start to investigate the Salem drug trade which would put her into direct conflict with the Kiriakis since she believes that they're still involved with puts her into Philip's orbit and puts them in conflict because she's trying to get dirt on his family to make a name for herself.....

I know people are sick of Sami drama and all (and I am too, honestly) but this is no different then in the past when for a period of time one female on the show had everything thrown at her. I don't want the show throwing away potentially good storytelling just because people are sick of Sami. Like it or not, Sami is now the central character of the show and that isn't going to change until the show becomes fixated on someone else for awhile. It happened with Marlena and then Hope and now it's Sami.

I want this story to have long-term impact. Would I prefer it to be someone else other then Sami? Sure. But who else could it be? Do we really want another Bope child drama? Would anyone give a damn if it were Theo? It HAS to be something with Sami to make it have impact and, if it's Will, it brings Lucas into the mix. That is why I think even if it means more Sami drama, it's something that is tolerable. It would give Lucas more to do, give the teens something of impact, and involving Maggie in story with Sami means more airtime and many more ramifications.

That could be good. I'm sure they would age Abby a little bit if they ever brought her back.

I've always liked the idea of involving Abby with Nicholas Alamain due to the whole Lawrence/Jennifer thing.

Well, they'd have to de-SORAS Nicholas. There's no way in hell I'd by someone Victor Webster's age as Crystal Chappel's son. For all intents and purposes, Nicholas should be about Philip's age (probably between Philip and EJ). It helps that the only 2 people he's related to is Vivian and Carly which makes him ripe for any of the younger females (Melanie, Stephanie, There...um...Arianna). If you add a mid-20s Abby in there, you've got quite a nice little young-adult canvas.

I'm sick of Sami drama in general, yes. But let's get specific for a minute. I'm sick of Sami children drama. And no...that didn't really ever happen to Hope and Marlena because they never had 47 children all at one time. I've been sick of Sami's man drama for a decade, but that's clearly not going away.

I agree that if Nicholas was ever brought back, he'd need to be de-SORASed. Philip's age is the perfect place for him, and it'll be nice to have someone who is actually competition for Philip unlike Nathan.

Last I heard, they were trying to get Lisa Trusel but, other then that, I've heard nothing else on the return front.

I think this is the perfect time to recast Sarah and make her a permanent character on the canvas. Melissa, Jennifer, Laura, Marie, and Mike AT LEAST should be there.

Days was able to keep the secret about Leann Hunley returning for quite awhile. Let's hope this is the same case for any returns for Mickey's funeral.
I was thinking the same thing.
About that, OBK I'm just curious if your source or sources had told you about Leann or you were just as surprised as the rest of us about that?

Tom Pelphrey as a de-SORAS Nicholas.....

As long as The Biggest Loser does well for NBC Sami will probably be the "star" of Days...... :-/

Ah, yes! But, you see.... if you put Kate and Nicholas's past into play and she has a thing with him on the downlow behind Stefano's back. If Carly finds out, she could easily become concerned for her son's safety and wellfare and that puts Carly into conflict with Kate -- so you've got Carly, Kate, and Vivian all against each other! Would Vivian and Carly work together to keep Nicholas away from Kate?

Victor Webster was brought on as Nicholas at a time when DAYS probably thought they would never get Crystal Chappell back as Carly. No way in hell if Chappell was ever intended to be brought back they would've SORASed Nicholas to his late-20s by 1999. It was ridiculous.

Not kidding. I swear the writers read this board. When Stefano said Sami had a dozen or so kids today, I nearly spewed coffee out my nose and thought the writers had been reading DR again.

Probably. But I doubt it. When people bring up Kate's whorish past, Nicholas is never mentioned. Victor, Stefano, Bill Horton, John, EJ, Roman, even Vincent Maroni is mentioned. No Nikki though.
