You know, if Jennifer came back, she could bring a slightly aged Abby with her who could stick around as a junior investigative reporter for The Spectator. Of course, she'd start to investigate the Salem drug trade which would put her into direct conflict with the Kiriakis since she believes that they're still involved with puts her into Philip's orbit and puts them in conflict because she's trying to get dirt on his family to make a name for herself.....
That could be good. I'm sure they would age Abby a little bit if they ever brought her back. I've always liked the idea of involving Abby with Nicholas Alamain due to the whole Lawrence/Jennifer thing.
Well, they'd have to de-SORAS Nicholas. There's no way in hell I'd by someone Victor Webster's age as Crystal Chappel's son. For all intents and purposes, Nicholas should be about Philip's age (probably between Philip and EJ). It helps that the only 2 people he's related to is Vivian and Carly which makes him ripe for any of the younger females (Melanie, Stephanie, There...um...Arianna). If you add a mid-20s Abby in there, you've got quite a nice little young-adult canvas. Oh, for sure. I liked Webster but I felt they went too old with Nicholas.

I know people are sick of Sami drama and all (and I am too, honestly) but this is no different then in the past when for a period of time one female on the show had everything thrown at her. I don't want the show throwing away potentially good storytelling just because people are sick of Sami. Like it or not, Sami is now the central character of the show and that isn't going to change until the show becomes fixated on someone else for awhile. It happened with Marlena and then Hope and now it's Sami.
I want this story to have long-term impact. Would I prefer it to be someone else other then Sami? Sure. But who else could it be? Do we really want another Bope child drama? Would anyone give a damn if it were Theo? It HAS to be something with Sami to make it have impact and, if it's Will, it brings Lucas into the mix. That is why I think even if it means more Sami drama, it's something that is tolerable. It would give Lucas more to do, give the teens something of impact, and involving Maggie in story with Sami means more airtime and many more ramifications.
I'm sick of Sami drama in general, yes. But let's get specific for a minute. I'm sick of Sami children drama. And no...that didn't really ever happen to Hope and Marlena because they never had 47 children all at one time. I've been sick of Sami's man drama for a decade, but that's clearly not going away. True but all I'm saying is the show always seems to throw everything but the kitchen sink at one particular female for a period of time. That doesn't necessarily mean child drama but other sort of drama as well.

They did recast Will, because they wanted to go in a new direction and he was going to have a new storyline..

About that, OBK I'm just curious if your source or sources had told you about Leann or you were just as surprised as the rest of us about that?
I can honestly say that I had no idea about Leann! I was indeed as surprised as you guys. Same here LOL. They really kept that one under the radar.
LOL Matt. I do know they read message boards. I don't know which specific ones but, judging by what has been mentioned at times this year on the show, I would not be surprised if the DR is one of them.
I do think the show will bring Nicholas back at some point and that may be when they decide to bring the Kate/Nicholas thing up, if they choose to bring it up. I can see reason why they wouldn't because, like Drew said, I do think they would like to forget Webster's Nicholas because I don't think they ever would've taken the approach they did if they believed CC would ever return.

I don't know why you think Sami has 47 kids - last time I counted, she had 902 kids.

Maybe that's what Higgs has been doing in her "spare time" while at work. Taking notes on script ideas mentioned here....

The only place she gets her inspiration from is from her bowel movements. Well I was going under the notion that she has nothing else to do then get storyline ideas from online and give them to the people who are actually doing things on the show..... :ermm:

It will be heart-breaking to watch, but I'm thrilled for SR. It's nice to see the older vets get decent storylines.
Hopefully the show will do this justice. I don't want a funeral that lasts for two scenes. And whatever they do... I hope that Marcellas Reynolds has not been hired as an extra... then again, if he had we'd probably have had the spoiler spilled completely already. LOL.

Days should hire Janelle so we can see her and Marcellas going at it like a couple of wildcats. ;)

Well, can't say this wasn't predictable. But that doesn't mean it won't be a great story. Frankly, this should have been done eons ago.
I didn't know about Marlena and Mickey's history, but it would be stupid to bring her back for his funeral. What about for Grace's death? For this kidnapping scenario? Frankly, if they were going to bring her back, this kidnapping s/l was the perfect way to do it...so I'll pass on her return for now.
I'm looking forward to some other returns (hopefully).

Since Maggie finds his body, I wonder if we'll get John Clarke back as dead-Mickey? LoL
I hope so, but this is DAYS - apparently, showing you a picture of Mickey (to remind you he's gone back to his "old" look, Phillip style) is good enough.

Hope acts like Carly never was close to anyone else in Salem but Bo. Jennifer is Carly's best friend and Hope's cousin. I really liked in the 90's how Jennifer was sort of torn between Hope and Billie and I would love to see her torn between Carly and Hope. That would be interesting.
I had no idea! I love learning DAYS history, lol. Yes, this would be interesting. I find Jennifer a total bore and don't see anything in Jack and Jennifer as a couple. They, too, bore the shit out of me and seem totally mismatched. I only enjoyed J&J once - when they were reporters around the time of Sami's Vegas wedding. Would be nice to have her for a short stint around the funeral, though.
And one of Sami's kids is involved? WHY WHY WHY? I thought this was finally a segway out of the "days of Sami's life", but no - they have to throw this in there. If I have to watch AS' hysterical heaving and 'crying' any more this year....damn.
Also, I think Maggie falling off the wagon would be a great story. It hasn't happened in recent years, that I can recall - unlike Lucus, who falls off the bandwagon every 5 minutes, LoL.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
But then you have the Nicholas/Kate thing.
Which never gets brought up, so why start now?
Good memories. I have no idea how this got brought up, but of course I have to chime in, LOL. I'll say this: Webster is a terrible actor. The storyline with Kate and Nicholas, really, wasn't that amazing either - hot, yeah, but otherwise...his dialogue was SHIT. Yes, he was aged too much (OMG, especially now seeing Crystal Chappell as Carly - and this Kate and Nicholas thing was 10 fucking years ago!). But...I'm sorry, Kate and Nicholas were hot. Good memories - damn straight. They can de-soras him - the timeline is so fucked up on this show anyway - but I hope they don't just 'forget' about it. I mean, it's the only storyline his character has EVER been involved with!

Sad about Mickey! If it's natural causes I wonder if it will be a heart attack? I don't like how they are getting rid of all the Hortons but if it will give Maggie a storyline then it might be okay! At least Hope can't blame Bo for this! She seems to blame him for everything lately! Maybe this will help bring Bo and Hope back together! I'm also glad this hasn't got anything to do with Carly!
