2009 YEAR-END STATS PACKAGE: ZUCKER TOPS LIST, SETS NEW RECORD: Arianne Zucker (Nicole) appeared in the third-most amount of episodes in a calendar year since records began being kept in 1980, behind only Kristian Alfonso (Hope/Gina in 1999) and Eileen Davidson (Kristen/Susan in 1997). However, both of those actresses were playing dual roles. Zucker now holds the record for most episodes in a calendar year playing a single role (old record: Drake Hogestyn as John in 1997). SINNEMA TWINS SET TWO RECORDS: Hailey & Lauren Sinnema (Sydney) set two records in 2009. They were the first non-contract actors to appear in more than 110 episodes in a calendar year (old record: Don Frabotta as Dave the waiter in 1990). The Sinnema twins were also the first children to appear in over 110 episodes in a calendar year (old record: Shawn & Taylor Carpenter as Will in 1996). VETS RETURN TO THE SPOTLIGHT: Suzanne Rogers (Maggie) appeared in over 80 episodes for the first time since 1983. Joseph Mascolo (Stefano) appeared in over 120 episodes for the first time since 1999. John Aniston (Victor) appeared in over 90 episodes for the first time since 2003. Ron Leath (Henderson) appeared in over 20 episodes for the first time since 2003. TOP 15 RANKINGS: With one week of episodes yet to air, these actors have clinched their spots in the top 15 rankings: Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe), Molly Burnett (Melanie), Shawn Christian (Daniel), Galen Gering (Rafe), Shelley Hennig (Stephanie), Jay Johnson (Philip), Lauren Koslow (Kate), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Joseph Mascolo (Stefano), Peter Reckell (Bo), James Scott (EJ), Hailey & Lauren Sinnema (Sydney), Taylor Spreitler (Mia), Alison Sweeney (Sami) and Arianne Zucker (Nicole). It is Reckell's 20th time on the Top 15 list, followed by Sweeney (16th time), Koslow (10th time), Zucker (8th time), Mascolo (7th time), Johnson (6th time), Bjorlin (5th time), Hennig (3rd time), Scott (3rd time) and Christian (2nd time). In their first year of eligibility, Burnett, Gering, Martsolf, Sinnema and Spreitler all appear on the list for the first time. Full year-end stats will be released next week at http://www.jason47.com |

Man, it seems like Zucker has been on like 99.9% of the episodes this year. Please tell me she is taking an extra long maternity break. |

^ it really didn't seem like she was on THAT much. Had that been Sami, I would've noticed. With that being said, Nicole is definitely much more tolerable. I didn't realize Stefano had been on that much either. |

Jason, this is why I love you. You always bring out great stats. All of these are signs the show is headed in a GREAT direction or is in one now...remember when the top fifteen consisted of Heather Olsen, Kirsten Storms, Nadia Bjorlin, Jason Cook? Jesus. We are much better off now! I love the DAYS of Nicole's Life! I think this year has been excellent. I probably watched more episodes this year than 2008 or 2007. |

I would take any of those 4 over Zuker. Even Nadia (mostly for those ta ta's though). Ari's just not that strong of an actress. Better than Sweeney, but still pretty amateurish for such a major storyline. Edited by dylan76, Dec 27 2009, 03:08 PM.

Thanks Jason! I find your statistics very interesting. They really do give viewers insights into where tptb are going with the show. I certainly hope they are correct in their choices. |

Wha..........??????????????????????????Well, you're one of the VERY few I've read who has that opinion! To each his own, I suppose. (Although, you know, at least you're honest in why you watch Nadia......) |

For me, you have to be either really hot or a great actor. Ari is...alright looking & an adequate actor. While Olsen, Bjorlin, Storms and Cook aren't powerhouse performers, they are pretty damn good to look at. |

Different strokes and all that...............................I would disagree, except maybe for the Jason Cook part. I think Arianne Zucker is a highly attractive woman and more to the point, she is willing to learn to be even better at her craft. And, I really can't overlook poor acting, no matter how someone looks. After all, Marcus Patrick or whatever the hell that guy's name is is damn good looking, but I cannot overlook cringeworthy acting. Same with Bjorlin. Give me a Joe Mascolo over a bad actor with good pecs any day. If I wanted to look at good bodies only, I'll buy a magazine. ;) |

I think AZ is one of the strongest actors the show has had in a long time. She acts circles around the majority of the cast, remaining vets included (I can only think of a couple of exceptions and they don't share the screen with her anyway). When her hair isn't weird, she looks better than most of them, too. Actually, she looks better than most of them when her hair is weird. |

More like acting in circles, meaning she doesn't have a lot of range. She's not horrible, she's just never impressed me. I am willing to bet anything that she won't get nominated next year. If they can overlook Kristian Alfonso & Renee Jones in the last few years, than she has no shot. |
