The NYE episode was fantastic, really enjoyed it. Sami and Rafe slowed things down a bit, but I don't mind them - not anything special, but they have a nice, easy chemistry. I actually really loved the buried alive flashbacks. I think they were well-edited and put together, production wise (right place in the episode, music was fitting etc.). They actually sent a chill up my spine, and I can't even tell you the last time a soap did that. As much as I love Vivian, as a viewer, I don't really know the "evil" side of the character...this was a great introduction to how sinister she can be, and justified Carly's fear for her daughter. When Carly was gasping for air, I almost thought I couldn't breathe...being buried alive is a disgusting, sick and scary thing.. Justin and Hope don't have good romantic chemistry, but they're fun as friends. They do have chemistry as actors though, and I enjoy them on-screen. I thought they were hilarious in this episode as "detectives." Laughed out loud when Vivian and Vic barged in with the WTF looks. Can't wait to see how they're going to explain this one...I still don't get why they'd be hooking up in Vivian's room, though. Because they didn't want anyone else to see...even after they sent the staff home?! And this is random, but I somehow forgot Tom is Hope's grandfather. LoL, obviously Tom and Alice were married, but the thought just never crossed my mind. Probably doesn't help that I'm too young to know Tom as a character, besides his "Like sands through the hourglass.." intro. Vivian and Victor are great together. I just can't get enough Vivian right now. Louise Sourel is amazingly campy, but in a good way. Her range is phenomenal...the way she can freak you out laying over someone buried alive, to delivering hilarious one-liners in the K-mansion. I don't forsee an over-exposure problem for her as she's such a good actor that she can handle and deliver it. <3 She's my favorite character right now. Victor has some great lines, but with JA getting older, I feel like he's putting less into his overall performance. It's definitely helping him that the writing for Victor is good. He still has a presence, though. Carly and Daniel = chemistry. I like them, and the Victor connection to both Bo and Daniel (and the fact Victor was married to Carly, and her arch-enemy Vivian..oy!) creates some amazing story opportunity. I still think Daniel is the father of Carly's daughter. Stephanie's such a bitch, and she's better this way. I think Shelley Hennig's days are numbered, but writing to her strengths could save the character. They just need to be careful that they aren't writing her as a Kate or Vivian type bitch, but more of a manipulative, passive-aggressive, "read between the lines" type character - like the lines she delivered to Mel yesterday. I didn't mind this quad at first, but the rushed marriage of Phil to some 19 year old is ruining it. Then we were reminded that Stephanie - who, herself, is too young to get married - was engaged to Philip just last year! Nathan looks like an idiot, since he was dating Mel for all of what...2 weeks? A month?! Philip punching Nathan was stupid, too. John Clarke really should have returned as Mickey. So ridiculous having Suzanne just "talk" to Mickey on the phone - waste of her talents. Nice to see Julie and Maggie, though. |

I had similar thoughts on Justin and Hope. I thought it made Hope look like even more of a bitch by kissing him after he told her about his feelings. That's Hope though - me, me, me. She's always had this selfish, princess thing going on. Seeing Doug with her was a reminder of why. And I also have to agree on Crystal's voice - it was like she had some weird, faux-Euro-ish accent going on back in the 90's, lol! |

This might be a stupid question, but that won't change the fact that I don't know the answer. What's a puzzle box? Why do you have to learn to open it? |

That's how I felt every day when that story originally aired, LoL. Every time I saw her in that casket gasping for air and clawing at the interior, I felt like I couldn't breathe and my palms would get all sweaty. The twisted pleasure that Vivian got out of torturing her just made it even worse. She would turn the little walkie-talkie on and force Carly to listen to how "happy" Nicholas was without her, etc. So deliciously cruel. I'm glad they showed those flashbacks so new viewers can understand just how dangerous Vivian really is. She isn't just some silly goofball with an odd sense of humor. Anyway, I agree with you that she's the best character on the show right now. From the moment her return was announced, I knew she would bring it and she hasn't disappointed me yet. Thank God TPTB finally pulled their heads out of their asses and brought her back. The show was sorely missing a character like her. |

Let me see if I can explain it. A puzzle box can be opened by usually moving/pushing a piece of wood built into it. Kind of like a trap door, but usually has a couple of places you have to move, then it opens. Here's Wiki's explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puzzle_box A puzzle box (also called a secret, or trick box) is a box that can only be opened through some obscure, and sometimes complicated, series of manipulations. Some puzzle boxes may require only a simple squeeze in the right spot, whereas others may require the subtle movement of several small parts, to open the box. Some puzzle boxes are comparable to burr puzzles. Edited by Liz<3Days, Jan 1 2010, 06:07 PM.

After watching 3 weeks of DAYS eppies in one week, its good to be all caught up. Thursday's show was awesome, too bad they can't all be that good. Ryan Quan has been a nice addition to the writing team. I am loving Vivian and Victor, a real goldmine. |

LOL, thanks. So it's not a box that holds a puzzle. That makes more sense. And you know...I vaguely remember that Gina clip, but for some reason it just didn't stick like it should have. But I might have shed a couple of tears just then. |

You may change your mind after Monday's episode. Justin's an ass. I also think he's trying to cause trouble for Bo and Hope because he wants Hope. Talk about desperate. I saw Mondays epi on youtube and the nasty side of Justin is starting to come out. I don't like him at all. Think Patrick and that's the way he is starting to act. Spoiler: click to toggle

Kristian Alfonso is pretty, but she used to be gorgeous. I really wish she'd put some weight on...she's way to thin for someone in their 40's.. |

Oh and can someone quickly remind me why Vivian hates Carly? Like, why did she bury her alive exactly? |

Wow - thanks for the clip, Kenny. I had never seen that scene before - both KA and PR were fabulous in it. And it was wonderful to see Frances Reid, again. I love Julie Pinson...but Lisa Rinna just rocked as Billie. |
