spoilers do seem to do what they mean--spoil the story, not to mention they seem to bring out the hostility in posters...the weekly discussion always seems to be much more civil.
I think that's partially because a lot of the people who come to get spoilers don't stick around to discuss the scenes after they air.

On one hand, less spoilers might help the ratings, but on the other hand, how many general fans even have the amount of spoilers that the message board types get? I wouldn't think SOW/SOD buyers make up a significant portion of the general audience.
People say it's fanbase war stuff, but what I see is people speculating about things that haven't happened and wanting to be right or not have anyone disagree with their POV more than anything.

Probablly not much.
That's part of why I stopped debating in those spoiler threads, for the most part. People would get all up in arms about scenes that usually didn't even play out the way we thought they would.

IIRC, someone said JS had a medical condition that made him blink, but it was annoying just the same, since it would make me conscious of my own blinking, instead of just automatically doing blinking when needed.

As long as EJ's not choking anybody, though, I'm on board. There are other people doing things that are way more distracting.
I don't know that it was a medical condition because he's made a huge effort in trying to correct it and that's when he started developing these other weird things, the choking though is separate, lol...it's his signature move.

Oh shit, Who/what is more distracting? Molly smiling like she's a snotty toddler or all over voice pitch (don't know how to word it)? Wally's smirking? PR's jaw clenching? Ali's less than dainty way of running? BD's nose whistle?

I heard he had dry eyes, and had to blink a lot because of it.

BD has a nose whistle? lol, Glad I don't remember that. As for the more annoying things, you got two of the ones I was thinking of with the overly huge grins, and the jaw clenching. Add to that, Sami's tendency to be on overdrive all the time (that insane look of glee every time the phone rings, or how there's never silent tears, but always an over the top meltdown, GG's and TS's lack of vocal inflection, the way LH looks like she's going to cry all the time....I could be here all day. :D

Speaking of, LH is probably the best crier...maybe over Marlena. She started crying in the scene with Brady yesterday and it caught me off guard. Why was she crying? Like that manipulative cry that some of my relatives do to get someone to feel sorry for them. Holy cow!

Sami's tendancy to be the least graceful person in the room, especially when she walks/stomps or has a purse.
Hope's eyebrow gets me ever time.
EJ's hand on his hip, his helicopter arms, caffiene hand quivers (LMAO!) etc. Lots of acting nuances recently.
Melanie's teeth.

Okay Halloween, you have me laughing. I saw each actor in my mind performing his/her signature foilbles.

In their defense, despite our own personal regard for certain actors, they are not perfect. LOL I kinda like to see the "flaws". It's all part of the entertainment of daytime tv.

Long live EJ DIMERA!

I caught up on both Wed. and Thurs. epis last night, and AZ just had me destroyed. She is so good. Damn!
The only other things I can really think to mention are that I wanted to choke Sami every time she was on camera, and when EJ did his little smirk and sarcastic clap, I wanted th judge to take his gavel and smack him between the eyes with it. Oh, and when it got to the end with him showing up at Anna's door, my mom (who is spoiler free) simply said, "son. of. a. bitch." LMAO! Yup.

Yep, that seems to be the mentality alot of people have when it comes to him. It's all about looks and accent, nothing about acting.

Well, I guess we all have different standards when it comes to our preferences in acting. Actually, I do agree with you, though. My preference would definitely be for the so-so guy who can act the hell out of everyone else as opposed to pretty packages. It's a bonus when they have both, like JS DID in the past. Right now, he's too hammy for me. He can bring it when he wants to, though.

I thought he did a great job with the last, or was it second to last?, baby reveal. The one where he confronted Nicole about adopting Sydney.

This kitchen table weeping over Mickey is putting me to sleep. And while Maggie's crying in the kitchen to Hope, Will's in the living room arguing with his girlfriend?! Cause that couldnt wait an episode or 2? This story is DOA.

Loved the Carly/Vivian scenes and how they tied in with Carly's claustrophobia. That buried alive flashback was a nice touch. I love how they are utilizing that story so much in this. Vivian as hilarious eating the chips and then walking by as the maintenance man worked on the elevator.

LOVED Bo and Carly at the end.

Enjoyed Justin vs Bo.

Mia being a bitch is saving the teen scene IMO. I hope they keep this up and good for Will dumping her. Dylan didn't bug me today. First time since November LOL.

Good EJ/Anna scenes. I like that they had her reach out to him both after Tony's death and after Nicole took Sydney. EJ and Anna always liked each other and Tony would want Anna to look out for him. I also love why Anna is doing this...she feels she is entitled to the money because it Tony's rightful inheritance and she wants to achieve their dream house in Bora Bora. That is SO Anna. I was shocked, too, that Anna brought up Marlena and how she can't understand how Sami turned out how she did having her for a mother. I love her bashing Sami so much this week. Where was this Anna in 2007 when she first returned and interacted with Sami? The only thing that would've made this better was a mention of all Sami did to Carrie.

Suzanne Rogers NAILED it. Good scenes with Maggie and Hope. Very well written. The scene where she recounted what happened upstairs was POWERFUL. I liked the scene of Maggie getting Mickey's ring and putting it on his finger. KS did very well too and she seemed to get the most emotional when Maggie brought up Alice. No surprise as KA is very close to Frances. I was glad they brought up Alice being frail and unable to take it. That gives them something to use also as a reason why Alice is not at the funeral. Glad Maggie brought up calling Melissa AND Sarah.

Fantastic episode. Can't wait for Monday!

Body doubles aren't weird at all. Stop making excuses. The scene definitely would've been perfect if John Clarke could've returned. Since that was impossible, the next best thing would've been to have a body double. Let us just see from the chest down, or maybe a limp arm. Whatever. OLTL did it when Nigel found Asa and it made the scene so much better and more effective. I'm not saying that I'm pissed about the way the scene was handled, because I'm not, but lets not try to make up excuses just to suit the show and say that a body double would've been a bad idea. Because it wouldn't. It would've been the next best thing after not being able to get Clarke back.
It would've been especially nice in this kind of situation, where we haven't seen Mickey in such a long time. As it is now, Mickey's gone, but that's exactly the same as it was before. It would've given it more of a feeling of loss, if they'd reconnected the character to an actual person, even briefly.

Even though I think what EJ is doing is WRONG,the scene with him singing to Sydney was cute.

its a sad day when I cant stand Bo. pot meet kettle. If Bo wants to be with carly go for it. Just dont pretend like he wants to get back with hope at the same time. shady.

I wish the Maggie/Hope scenes were a little more emotional. If I found a family member dead. I would fall apart completely. Hope was too restrained for my taste. The previews with Melanie? I know it wasnt supposed to be funny but it was. who died? Ouch.

Mia and Will break up for the 12th time. yawn.

Anna bashing Sami never gets old. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: I would love to know what went on between EJ and Anna these last few months. He knew about the tacky mansion in Bora Bora. Hmmmm. Been a busy boy it seems.

EJ clearly thinks sami is an idiot. Nice touch twirling the baby toy as he was lieing to her. maternal instincts? *snickers* Good one EJ. and welcome back!

Forgot about that. It was cute, especially the end where EJ put his finger to Sydney's nose. However, was it just me or was he reading off something while singing the song? He had his face turned away from Sydney and it looked to me like he was reading something LOL.

Did he? I will have to go back and look later.

I hope he did because, otherwise, he ruined that scene.

Oh I don't watch DAYS or any of the other soaps for that matter for the acting. Please!

When I watch a soap, I want hot daily romance and angst with super attractive people! Great acting be damned. (except maybe for Ari Zucker - that chick rocks!)

If I want to watch great acting, I'll go watch something like LA Confidential, Memento or Unforgiven, but that's me.

That was good. When he was with AZ, they both did a great job. They seemed to bring out the best in each other. At least in my opinion.
