Arianna manages the Pub so that is why she is handling it. Caroline seems to only work when she wants.
When was the last time we saw Caroline? Was it the day Sydney was with Sami? I can't remember. Before that I certainly couldn't tell you when she had last been on.

Caroline was at the Sydney vigil on the pier. However, she had no lines and was just in the background.

She was on the Christmas Eve show. She was standing next to Stephanie at the vigil.

I didn't remember seeing Caroline at all. Sad that they couldn't give her a line or two but they really do seem to be downplaying the Bradys' involvement in Sydney being missing, don't they? Roman isn't really doing anything any more as far as we know, Bo offered to help and Roman said don't bother so Bo didn't, Hope handed out a little advice but that's it.

Geez. My new HD TV really makes me see exactly how blonde Sami is. What do you call that shade? Barbie Blonde? There are no highlights nor lowlights or texture to that shade at all. It's the exact same all-over shade as a Barbie doll.
It's been white for a long time, but yesterday it was straight up yellow. At least on my TV.
She's looked like Tweety Bird for quite a while to me.
That's funny. Just curious, how long have you noticed it being that color? I've thought it's been white for years, and just noticed the yellow yesterday. The way it was styled a few days ago, it didn't look as atrocious as usual. That truly seems to make all the difference because it doesn't look that bad on The Biggest Loser (or the promos...I've never watched it). The main reason I'm curious about the color, though, is that I couldn't see Kate's blue hair for so long, and everyone keeps telling me that my blue couch is green. I'm starting to think I have some sort of color seeing problem.

Well, whoever in the hair dept decided to experiment on AS's hair in this episode should hang their head in shame. You failed. That pony tail/braid was a disaster...Never Do that DO again!

I want Stephanie to go away....have her walk up some stairs and never come back down, please!

I forwarded through the Gabbi scenes...Don't like her. Not a bit.

UGH, Melanie is ruining Phillip. I think this pairing is just tummy turning.

Ari just needs to dump Brady already. He just isn't that into her...Sadly.

I like the actor who played the judge. He use to be everywhere in the 80's on TV. I was happy to see him.

The trial was pretty boring. I thought it was ridiculous that the judge brought up Ej and Sami's flaws. Their flaws have nothing to do with Nicole's trial. For once this is something that is all about Nicole. lol It is her crimes that are on trial, no one elses.

Brady's help was basically to tell the judge...Nicole is crazy, let her go....ummm not exactly helping Brady. lol

I giggled when Ej jumped up and yelled, "This is ridiculous!"...I was thinking the exact same thing.

I think alot of AZ. She is quite good. Nicole was always one of my favs until this sl, which ruined the character for me because it stripped her of what I loved about her. I welcome the Nicole break. She will be back , and I hope changed. I really want to like her again

It varies. Sometimes it looks more white than others, but other days it can look strongly yellow, like a highlighter, to me anyway. It's truly hideous either way. She needs to chop many inches off and go several shades darker. I can't even imagine how damaged it must look in person.

As unlikely as it is that a judge would bring up the crimes of the purported victims while sentencing someone, personally I love that he did it. I'm sick of the the hypocritical duo and I hope it's foreshadowing that someday, eventually, EJ might pay in part for one of his many, many crimes. It just annoys the fuck out of me that he himself masterminded a kidnapping as recently as 6-7 months ago and didn't pay a bit. I like EJ, or did, but I'm so sick of his double standards and pity parties and I wish Steve would come back and rip him a new one.

Just starting to watch and WTF with Sami's hair?! She has this grey/white roots and the yellow blond rest of hair...and this big thing on top. Holy cow! She so needs a new do or new color...something! She looks like shit!

And LMAO about Rafe saying that lying and keeping secrets is the same thing...and you don't do that to those you love. STFU Rafe...why don't you tell Sami a bit about Meredeth!
The hypocracy on this show just slays me sometimes!

I also have to add, Sweeney's hair wouldn't be so bad if she got some tan on that skin of hers.

SR/Maggie looks so beautful. She too is an amazing actress. She is going to rock in these upcoming scenes. While Bo and Hope's love story will always be my favorite, Mickey and Maggie's is the next one.
I dunno. The whole "Red Shoes" thing and Maggie not being able to walk....that's pretty hard to top..............that was some good mushy stuff, that. That would probably rank #1 with me. Although the Kayla being deaf and signing vows was pretty heart-rending, too.
You know, it's amazing to look back and think about exactly how long Mickey & Maggie were stuck on that farm. Mickey suffered his stroke and wandered out of the hospital with amnesia in 1973 (and was presumed dead in the process) and ended up on Maggie's farm in Brookville calling himself Marty Hansen. With Mickey gone, Bill and Laura fell in love again. An amnesiac Mickey/Marty fell for crippled Maggie and they first married in 1974 (with Maggie on crutches). Maggie then found out who Mickey really was (and that he already had a wife), but kept the news from him out of fear that she'd lose him. When Tom saw Mickey/Marty's picture in a newspaper, he realized he was alive and went to Brookville. Unfortunately, seeing Tom brought back no memories for Mickey/Marty and he had no emotional attachment to Salem. He then divorced Laura (who finally married Bill at the end of 1974). Maggie had her surgery in 1975 (during which is the famous "red shoes" scene), but she still couldn't walk because of a psycosomatic fear that walking would cause her to lose Mickey. Mickey & Maggie returned to the farm (he still couldn't remember anything) and he helped with her recovery while Tom and Mike would visit hoping to jog his memory. His former lover Linda Phillip also made another play for Mickey during this time hoping to use his amnesia (and her daughter Melissa whom she still claimed was Mickey's) to her advantage. Fortunately, Maggie discovered the truth about Linda and nipped that in the bud (thanks to the help and information provided by Laura and Linda's ex Jim Phillips). It wasn't until 1976 when a young adult Mike was involved in an accident on the farm that required a blood transfusion that Mickey finally learned that he wasn't Mike's father. After the whole truth came out (Bill was Mike's father because he'd forced himself on Laura), all of Mickey's memory can back and pushed him off the deep end causing him to try and shoot Bill to death. Mickey had to be institutionalized (nearly catatonic) and it was at this point in 1976 that Marlena was introduced as one of Mickey's doctors. However, at this point, Mike STILL DIDN'T KNOW THE TRUTH -- until a whacked out and drugged Mickey told him the truth during a visit at the institution. Needless to say, Mike didn't take the lifetime of deception well and went off on Bill & Laura for hurting Mickey. Mickey eventually recovered & Maggie could walk again (she was on crutches for her first 3 years on the show!). Mickey & Maggie continued to live on the farm for years. Julie nearly had her face burned off when Maggie's farmhouse stove exploded in her face in 1979. I don't think it was until the early 80s until Maggie finally decided to sell the farm and she and Mickey moved to their lakehouse in Salem (I still remember that house with the double front doors with the big round door knobs).
Oh my gosh you are crazy informed...props to you. I didn't start watching until the mid 80's with my grandmother and I don't remember a lot because I was like 7. Thanks for the information.

Oh my gosh I can't handle Stephanie, Phillip, or um the Horton dude...(name?). I like Melanie...but get rid of the rest of the idiots and bring back the good characters they so ruthlessly got rid of. I fast forward pretty much through all the young peeps they annoy.

OMG! This trial is so stupid! Am I supposed to be feeling bad for Nicole and hating the others?
Sami needs to shut the fuck up about how people need to be telling the truth...EJ too...not to mention sell-my-baby Mia.

And I can't remember a time on Days where a woman has been hung out to dry by so many hypocritical people before either! Usually it is the santimonius Brady's doing the condemning, but when it is Sami and EJ?

Melanie really looks like she is 15, doesn't she?

Gosh, AS really is a bad actress. That stomping when the judge told her to sit down?
And JS needs to stay away from that salmon colored shirt he was wearing...especially in the same shot as AS's red shirt.

The S/N/M/P quad is starting to annoy me...don't yell at Nathan that you are over him and don't love him and love Phillip and want to marry him...yet a few hours later have a hot sexual fantasy about him. Stephanie just annoys the crap out of me with her interaction with Phillip. Can't she just ignore him?

Loved today's show. Love it when a show pisses me off! Love that Nicole won't be out for long...and really love all of this going on while knowing who the Sydnapper is. Bad Bad Bad! :)

Good point. When she first went with the platinum blonde look in May 2006, she was tanned. She also had bangs. It looked great then but I think she kept the look for far too long and the longer she kept it, the worse it began to look. Today was the worst though. Beyond awful.

Was anybody else as disappointed as I was because the hitman didn't succeed in eliminating Arianna? Oh well, maybe next time.

Interesting how Stephanie seeemed to have made her mind up about Nathan right after Philip mentioned his honeymoon and questioned her about Nathan. Looks like her new-found bitchiness is here to stay. Not that I mind.

Please tell me I didn't hear correctly and Melanie didn't actually offer to introduce Philip to her former sugardaddies. Seriously, what is going on with this character?

Wanna bet a month from now, when AZ returns from her maternity leave, we will hear Nicole was released on the grounds of good behaviour or something like that and she'll be walking free again?

James was playing it right until recently. The scenes at the Pub when Sami got the call from Nicole, the scenes in Cleveland, and especially the scenes on the pier during the vigil...he played them all well. He had EJ looking very suspicious and you could literally see the wheels turning. Now it seems like he is overdoing it on EJ"s "innocent victim" and "surprised" routine. He does that big time tomorrow too, especially in the final scene.

As unrealistic as the hearing was (I never expect soaps to handle courtroom drama realistically because it would be boring that way), I LOVED it. They took the opportunity to lay out everything Nicole did as well as presenting her side through Brady. We also had the judge highlighting some of the things both Sami and EJ have done, which was hilarious. It really was a nice way of showing all perspectives involved and I think it did a nice job of showing why EJ feels more wronged then anyone else given he was lied to THREE times. That was nice setup.

Arianne Zucker was FANTASTIC. I'm sure she will be tomorrow in her goodbye scenes too. I thought Martsolf and Sweeney were good too today as well as Deidrick and Sprietler. It was also nice seeing Will actually involved and by Sami's side.

I enjoyed the Melanie/Philip/Stephanie/Nathan stuff. It was filler but it was good story development filler.

The Arianna stuff was a waste but I can see they are building up to something there.

Yea, he did, at first. That time at the pub where he just sat looking into space while everyone else was excited to hear Nicole was in Cleveland was a good set up to him ending up being involved, but things have changed a lot since then, and it really speaks to the need for directors, unless

I don't think it's the directors because, otherwise, JS would've never played out as he did in the beginning. I think maybe it was suggested he was playing it too suspiciously and they told him to tone it down but he took it too far and now seems lost as to how to play it.

I still don't understand how these damn shows function without directors. Who the hell is there on set each day to offer an objective eye that whatever these people are doing doesn't look like absolute shit? A director would at least be able to tell Mia not to look so vacant-eyed and Melanie to stop scrunching up her nose like someone's told her to smell her eyebrows.
