Yeah, I took it as Caroline made the casserole. No way could Alice do it. I'm glad they're referring to her being so frail. It's sad, but it's believable. I hated the way they tried to make it sound like Alice was this physically active grandma at like 95. That's ridiculous. I still remember the one episode where we heard Alice leaving Jack and Jennifer's house and she peeled out of the driveway, sounding like a bat out of hell! This is much believable.

It was only like four years ago. Still, doing that at 91 is still kind of unbelievable, especially how fragile Alice looked when we did see her on screen back then.

True, although she could just be a rocking grandma  .

It's hard to hear her described as frail but they can't keep pretending. They did for long enough so I am glad they are finally acknowledging her condition.

Just watched the last two episodes….

I hate to say it, but I’m not feeling Mickey’s death quite yet. Something just seems missing to me, because I'm not really feeling any kind of emotional resonance. For one thing, I really wish we could be seeing Alice in these scenes. I know it's not the show's fault that we can't and I'm not blaming them for it, but it's such an obvious void, right now. Suzanne Rogers has been good in most of her scenes, but she has yet to absolutely knock my socks off (and I’m as big a fan of hers as everyone else here). Those scenes with the deleted text message were not good. I hate when Suzanne plays hysterics, because it always comes off bad. In her particular case, I feel that a more subdued performance would be the way to go, because she’s better at that, IMO. Having said all that, I know that this story has just started, so I am holding out hope that it will get better in the coming episodes, and I'm definitely enjoying having Maggie front and center.

I’m really not sure who I’m supposed to be rooting for in the Hope/Bo/Carly triangle. Am I supposed to be rooting for Carly, who doesn't seem to have a problem sleeping with a married man? Am I supposed to be rooting for Bo, who has cheated on his wife and, so far, shown little remorse about it? Am I supposed to be rooting for Hope, who’s been waffling and acting like a total bitch for months now? I just don’t find anyone here to be all that rootable, which is a shame. I am looking forward to the Hope/Carly confrontation on tomorrow’s show, though. Kristian Alfonso looks like she’s going to be fierce!

I’m tired of this Arianna drug storyline. I’m just so ready for something – anything – to happen! It's been all talk and no action for months now. Thankfully, it looks like that will change, after seeing the latest spoiler pics. Just give me some E.J./Arianna, already!

Melanie is quickly starting to annoy me with her wishy-washiness. When she was with Nathan, she couldn’t get her mind off of Philip. Now that she’s marrying Philip, she can’t get over Nathan. Melanie is obviously not mature enough to be getting married – to Philip or anyone else, and I’m not even talking about her age, in this case.

I forgot to mention one more thing I liked about today's show. Sami mentioned how the kidnapping had changed her and how she would kill whoever did it. I think this may set up Sami to show signs of "old" Sami. Her and EJ work much better when they are against each other. Those scenes last June when they fought in the funeral home after Grace's death were fantastic! I like what they seem to be setting up here.

Oh, I agree. She could be, but she isn't. They can't have her off-screen, saying she's doing all of these ACTIVE things and then when we see her, it looks like she's using all of her strength to just keep her head up. It's unbelievable.

I think the old Sami is long gone. She's been Lauren Fenmore-ed, Rachel Cory-ed.

And I'm probably one of the few on this board that actually likes that the old Sami is gone.

I don't mind seeing signs of the old Sami every now and then. She can still be fiery and I think we will see signs of the old Sami when she learns what EJ did. I saw a brief glimmer of it today when she told Rafe that the situation had changed her and that she wanted to kill whoever had done this.

At least Rachel was still fun and interesting after they declawed her. I can't say the same for Sami...

Really? I found her to be quite boring. This new mature Sami reminds me so much of Rachel after Mac.

In all fairness, Doug Watson's death took a huge dynamic away from Another World. Rachel was never the same since. I still recall when villainous Rachel returned to warn Jamie about Blaine, the girl he'd met out west.

I will agree with that.

I don't think it happened after Mac left though. It did happen gradually but she really became dull after Iris left the show and she and Carl married. It says alot that they came up with the Rachel/Justin mess just to keep things interesting. Rachel did never recover her spark though, at least not for me. I felt the same way about Vicky too. She was still a good character but she was never the same when Jensen Buchanan took over. Maybe for a little while she was but Ryan's death and her relationship with Jake took alot of life out of her too. I don't feel the show was wrong with what they did with Vicky though. She just finally matured. I feel the same way about Sami, only I feel there are still shades of the old Sami every now and then. She's still hypocritical and judgmental. She still has her moments of being fiery. They just make her too sugary at times and sometimes try too hard to make her like Marlena.

Sami talks big but this show stupidly won't give us anything resembling the badass anti-Brady ever again. Think of all the times over the last month or two she claimed she was going to KILL Nicole and she hasn't done shit to her except huff and puff at her sentencing hearing. My guess is her tough talk about the kidnapper was just that... talk.

I guess this regime doesnt believe in that "special connection" that Bope shared-when either one was in trouble or troubled, they would sense it.

It was always a one sided thing. Hope never got any vibes when Bo was sick or hurt. Hell, she was living with the guy and couldn't tell he was sick. Even when he mentioned his back hurting, Hope's response was "yea well mine is too."
Yes she did, stop making things up to suit your own agenda.
