LMAO! She was terrible! I think all Maggie's scenes should have been with just Doug/Julie. |

To be absolutely honest, I cannot stand any scene with Carly and Bo..and you an imagine what I thought of the sex, animal scene. Can't wait for the fall out with this escapade...comfort sex is what it iand Bo is still a douche bag because no matter whose fault is is, he is still married to Hope.. |

How about being a manwhore in general? There's plenty for him to get on Daniel about. it doesn't take much effort for Victor to find fault with other people. |

Seriously. I couldn't believe how Maggie's tragedy became about Melanie and how she felt, and then Maggie doling out marriage advice. With Doug, Julie and even Nathan there MELANIE is the one Maggie wants to talk to? I don't fucking care about how Melanie feels about Mickey since I have never, not once, seen them interact. Same is true of Nathan but at least he's a Horton. |

Yeah, it pissed me off. And with Nathan standing there in the background listening uncomfortably while Maggie and Melanie babbled about her engagement to Phillip, that whole scene was nothing more than a setup for more Melanie/Nathan angst. Zzzz! |

But the scenes wasn´t about Melanie and Mickey but Melanie and Maggie. Most of us doesn´t care about Mickey because he is gone for years now, but we know and love Maggie and we can feel her pain. And even if some disagrees nobody in current Salem has as close relationship with Maggie as Mel. Not even Nathan, no matter if he is Horton or not. |

I think Maggie's conversation with Melanie (hell, her entire relationship with her) is very in character. If you look back on Maggie's history, it makes perfect since that she's taken in Melanie (and Mia, for that matter) since she's done it her entire life. Mickey wandered onto her farm not knowing who she was. She took him in. She longed for a child and took in a foster daughter (Janice Barnes) and she and Mickey prepared to adopt her before her birth mother came and took her away. It was losing Janice the lead to Maggie's alcoholism. Melissa Anderson (who had once been passed off as Mickey's daughter) ran away from boarding school as a young teen and came back to Salem. Mickey & Maggie (although no blood relation) took her in and became her legal guardians. She wanted to know what it was like to give birth to a child, so she signed up for the surrogate mother program -- hence Sarah being born. Of course, Maggie couldn't give Sarah up once she was born (and once she found out the bio-dad was Evan Wyland and that Evan's wife had died). The force of Mother-Love is strong in Maggie. It is in her nature to take foundlings under her wing just as she's done with both Melanie and Mia. Melanie and Mia have both become her girls (in much the same way as Janice and Melissa and Sarah). |

Great show today. I'm loving seeing Suzanne Roger's front and center. I think the saddest moment for me was when Maggie realized she erased the text. Also loved having Doug and Julie there. Also as a fan who enjoys the Maggie and Melanie relationship, I just loved their scenes today. Such great dialog and acting by both actresses. Vivian is the best thing about Days right now. she is such a delight to watch. I really enjoyed her scenes with Phillip and then Victor at the end. Bo and Carly were scorching hot. But I'm still more of a Bope fan. |

She's going to have one weird looking wrinkled up face as she gets older if she doesn't quit scrunching up her face in such awkward ways all the time. |

OMG...Carbo sex and Carly bringing up the "what if?" Its also like she was buttering up Bo for him to have sex! (Looks like Bo really didnt need it- Carly could have talked about the weather and he'll be taking his clothes off!LOL) Carbo sex=kind of hot! I love the Hortons and so glad I have something to see since Nicole's in jail. I loved how they got together and Nathan calling his mom. This SL is going to be so good. I loved that Maggie was cleaning and all worried about the guests. That's so like a person who just wants to be busy so to not think their loved one is gone. LOL @ Vic's line about Brady being better high. The two most annoying characters in the SAME scene- Arianna and Melanie discussing the elopement..YUCK! Dude, Ariana, Melanie did not score a touchdown (well, maybe thats how she thinks of Phil?) YAY...Phil gets to play in the BIG pool today! I loved his scenes with Vivian! AW, Viv wants a friend Phil.....come on, shes harmless, LOL! Why is LH's hair styled so pretty and CC's hair is like a wet mop? Why is everyone so interested in a pic of the Phelony wedding..do people in Salem not believe that either of these two would make it to the altar? Hmmm no Sami= GOOD DAYS! |

Crystal's hair looked like shit in the opening scenes of today's episode. I don't know why the stylists insist on making her look as frumpy and "blah" as possible, but it's annoying the piss out of me. |

That still doesn't explain to me why half the conversation was about Melanie's feelings, not Maggie's, especially since Maggie handing out the carpe diem advice was to get Nathan upset and jealous. I mean, the woman's husband's body is barely cold after his unexpected death and I simply find it unbelievable and rather offensive that the conversation was largely about Melanie's life. Had it simply been Melanie expressing her sympathy and providing a shoulder for Maggie to cry on I would perhaps have felt differently, but I still would have been annoyed that Julie gets, what, ten lines and Doug gets two whereas Melanie has multiple scenes with, again, much of the dialogue being about Melanie's feelings. |

LH's hair is ugly most of the time. Braiding the hair headband style. Gross. Considering Peter kept placing his hands on Crystal's head, I'd imagine her hair would be flat. Bo and Carly. I would have much preferred slow and sensual much like old school Bo and Carly, but to fit the needs of the story and their current lives--I enjoyed it. Bo and Carly cuddling. Cute. Peter and Crystal are hot. |

But whether Mickey has been gone for years or not, this is a death of a legacy character on Days, a death that affects a core family, and should devestate his wife Maggie. Many people rightfully complained that Bo's pancreas illness shouldn't have been 95% about Chelsea and I agree. Mickey's death affects multiple people and while of course Melanie would want to give her condolences, the show is losing an opportunity to showcase the veteran Hortons (and even Bo and Hope) and let them come together where the story is about them. You've got some major depth that can be written here, you can showcase SR's talents along with Julie and Doug's but focusing on Molly Burnett who's place is only out of because she's a freaking boarder would anger many fans. What if the news the show was writing in Mickey's death brought back fans who tuned in for nostalgia sake? How would it look to them? Why is Maggie going on and on with this unrelated girl when she should be talking to her family? I'm sure the day when dear departed Alice Horton leaves Salem, we will be witnessed to Melanie leading the service, while handing out donuts , and scenes of beloved Frances Reid will be unseen so everyone can tell Melanie individually how much they loved Alice. |

I can understand what you are saying about the scenes with Maggie and Melanie today and that they should focus more on the Hortons. I think they are dong a good job of showing Maggie with a lot of family and grieving together. Friday had Maggie and Hope. Today Doug, Julie and Nathan were there. Tomorrow Lucas will come by as well. It's not like they are forgetting about showing Maggie with other Hortons and only concentrating on Maggie and Melanie. I'm going to wait until all the grieving is done and then see who had the most scenes with Maggie before it can be stated they focused too much on Maggie and Melanie. |

I gotta admit, those Mel and Maggie scenes made me tear up. I think it was because Maggie was trying to be focused on any one else, that she just broke down. I liked that part, just like I liked it when Nathan held her, then she just zipped out of the kitchen. I think the saddest was when she just wanted to see that text just one more time..kind of like when people smell the shirt in the closet or look at his silly stuff that you argued about...just reminds people that they can have that argument anymore. It also reminded me of that old Twilight Zone episode of the guy that loves to read, then he's the only one left on Earth, so he goes walking around and stops at the library and is just OVERJOYED about having the time to read all these books...then he trips, falls and breaks his reading glasses...such tragic irony. Thats my fave T-Zone episode. (I know it kind of a stretch, but thats what popped in my head when Maggie realized that she erased the text.) |

Her hair has been bugging me a lot as her wardrobe. She always wearing t-shirt like they are from Old Navy. Is it so hard to style the woman with bigger boobs on this show? (I guess my theory doesnt work cause Chloe is always in mostly nice dresses?) Her hair was limp before sex, so thats not an excuse. Give that girl some volume..STAT! |

I'm playing devil's advocate here, but I thought that the scene with Melanie was pretty spot on. The whole purpose of the scene to me was about showcasing the amazing relationship that Mickey and Maggie had. Sure Melanie had her "me me me" moment, but that's pretty in character for her. She's a LOT better than she used to be, but she's always been a little too self orientated. I think that the showcase aspect of it came off better from her perspective. Someone who ISN'T family, and hasn't known them for a million years could see how much they adored each other. Add in that Melanie IS a bit too self absorbed and she still noticed it. It's also pretty spot on that Maggie doled out relationship advice to her. Maggie not only treats Melanie as she would any other "foundling" under her wing, but sometimes in the wake of tragedy, helping other people helps you to keep your mind off your own problems. Of course it also got to set the stage for Nathan/Melanie. I love them together, Nathan brings out the best in her. And I just want to smack him. She thinks he doesn't care about her anymore, since he dumped her. I KNOW that if she knew that he still cared, she wouldn't be running off to Vegas to marry Philip. She thinks there isn't a choice anymore. I also have to point out that I was feeling quite reminiscent throughout this whole SL. I kind of saw it coming actually and was wondering when they were going to kill off the character of Mickey Horton. The last few months of Maggie talking on the phone to Mickey, or referencing that he was "just upstairs" reminded me of Tom. MacDonald Carey had been dead for quite some time, when Alice would remark that Tom was "just upstairs in his study" before they finally let the character of Tom pass away. |
